Her Majesty's Theatre

Only just below Regent theatre for best theatre's in Melbourne, the only reason being because Regent has a grander feel from the inside and out. Her Majesties, however, was a perfect theatre for a more intimate connection to the characters on stage, as you aren't too far from the action. Excellent Mary Poppins show, the colours, the lights, the actors, and the music blended together to make a show not worth missing.

This is a beautiful theatre and I loved watching Miss Saigon, but there was a person sitting near me who bought a packet of really loud chips at interval and rattled this through most of the second act. $200 a ticket, the candy bar shouldn't sell these.

The show was fabulous but seating is difficult when you have a big person in front of you and you are 5 ft 2. This is the second time it's happened and we were second row of the dress circle. Needs to be better!

The seating is very cramped, both for leg room and beside you. It is a great theatre though.

Amazing place to watch shows, crowds are fast moving and views of the stage are amazing. I wouldn’t book passed row P in the stalls as you’ll have an obstructed view, otherwise very good spot and great staff.

The seating is not leveled up enough to have a good visual distance of the person in front of you

Amazing interior architecture. We attended once when a niece from overseas was performing here. Takes you back to a different era!

Went to see Frozen last night. Sadly, the excellent performance was ruined by very poor setting arrangement at HMT. I sat in the middle section at the bottom (row R 22) and could not see the whole middle section of the stage because an adult was sitting right in front of me (the seating arrangement was not staggered here). I won't be returning to HMT.

The staff here are really the stand out of the theatre and make your experience memorable and comfortable. Beautiful theatre with beautiful shows. I highly recommend Frozen at the moment

Magical experience, watched Frozen the Musical- Disney have gone all out on the budget!

Costumes were beautiful and the vocals spellbinding. They also offered seat risers to children. Would highly recommend for adults and children alike.

The theatre was compliant with covid safe measures, you do need to wear a mask.

Saw/experienced Macbeth by Melbourne Opera. Outstanding performances! Live events such as this just can't be replaced by zoom!

Great convenient theatre with nice atmosphere, very good chocolate factory movie played a week ago would highly recommend as the location is right in the heart of Melbourne city which is easy to find. The seats are comforting with nice red colour and the lights around feels bright.

A wonderful theatre. Macbeth, the Opera was amazing. Subtitles were great. A perfect accompaniment.

Just watched Matador. Sexy, upbeat Burlesque performance. Definitely worth checking out. Talented dancers performing ballet, trapeze and burlesque. Energetic and keeps you enthralled from start to finish. LOVED it!

A must do for any visitor to Melbourne. Experience the best art and entertainment in a location that oozes exquisite.

What's not the love about this grand old Dame of Melbourne theatre. It's always a pleasure to visit, except for the paucity of women's toilets that besets most old buildings. A gem and the bar makes a mean French martini!

Show was fantastic and a bit unexpected. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Seating could be improved, not enough space between rows to be comfortable when you have long legs.

Muriel's Wedding was awesome. Great mixed of nice and well performed new songs for the show blended with sing-along ABBA music. Super cast!
