Great place with a decent wine tasting and nice service, beautiful deck with a gorgeous view and a beautiful homemade goat cheese that should not be missed.

We came here because it was ‘highly’ recommended by Evergreen Winery Tour. Unfortunately it did not live up to its standard and we’d never come back. The wine and service was terrible. The wine itself… lets just say.most of us threw it out while a couple of us being nice, TRIED to drink it. The cheese platter was standard but nicer than the wine. The view was also nice. The waitress who hosted our group looked like she was itching to go home. No knowledge of the wine. No interest in engaging. Her description of the wines she was 'picking' for us was laughable. Thankfully, her wine pourings were small. This winery is probably best suited if you’re looking for a cheap drink up/Sunday session with friends that comes with a nice view. If you’re serious about your wines, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

This place really has potential but sadly our visit was truly sub-par. The wine tasting serving sizes were very small - much smaller than at other nearby wineries. We asked for a food menu and we’re told just to order cheeses from the deli. We picked out some cheeses without being provided prices (causing us to spend much more than we intended). We paid $90 for a cheese platter to have it brought out with the cheeses still in plastic with zero presentation. Turns out we were overcharged on the cheese platter and instead of asking whether we wanted to be reimbursed, they gave us extra biscuits. The staff also didn’t seem to know much about the wine. The view was speculate but with 80+ wineries in the area, I’d suggest trying somewhere else. I hate to leave an average review but it fairly reflects our experience.

We first called to see if we could bring our dog to the winery, and the answer from the staff was “please bring your dog! ” well, we did! We thought they weren’t doing tastings after 2pm on Fridays so we bought a Pinot Noir and did not regret it at all.

My partner and I had the most incredible time at Helen and Joey Estate. Gina hosted our wine tasting and was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, welcoming and added value to the experience. 10/10, I would highly recommend!

Service was lacking…we had a group of 16 people but was seated at a smaller table that lacked enough chairs. In the end we were moved indoors with more space. Some of the glasses we had were not clean.
Scenery was nice but the place seems to book too many groups but seem understaffed? Too crowded and noisy. Groups don’t get an attentive server like in Oakridge.

Had a wonderful wine tasting as part of our Christmas party. Gina was lovely and down to earth with some great advice for the wine novice. Ali make as mean gin and tonic! Would recommend and will be back!
Make sure to get a photo on the unicorn!

We know the wines are great so we took the drive out today for a wine and cheese platter for lunch, only to be told they had run out of cheese, crackers, etc. Really disappointing considering that's the only food available and I'm not sure how you can run out of cheese, considering the location and what is available. Will try again next time. Lunch in Healesville was nice though.

So disappointed with Helen and Joey's. Our group had planned and replanned a winery tour 3 times due to covid and when we finally locked in a day, Helen and Joey's was our last stop. When we arrived, they told us that we booked in at an earlier time so we had lost our booking, even though we had email proof for the time of our arrival. Instead of taking ownership for the mistake, they blamed it on a staff that had left.
Why didnt you call when we 'missed our booking' so we could make alternate plans then?
We suggested just getting a few bottles of wine and grabbing a table, instead of doing a tasting etc, but they just kept saying they couldn't accommodate us because they had two large bookings coming soon. But we also had a booking and were already there and they didn't honour it.
They sent us off with a 4- pack of their canned wines for our group of 20. What was the point?

Horrible service from the most unprofessional manager Helen. We were served out of date cheese with the expiry date of April 2021. We were there 3/01/22. Helen brushed it off said it was just an old sticker and walked off on us. As we were waiting for her to return, we could over hear her complaining about us infront of other costumers who then looked our way as they laughed at us with Helen. As a manager myself this is absolutely appalling and unacceptable behaviour. At the end we were offered a refund however it's not about the money it's about how humiliated we felt after eating off cheese. If she had shown atleast a little respect to us it would of made our experience better. Lucky for us we did visit a few other wineries with lovely service which made our day a lot better. We will never return to Helen & Joey and would advise our family and friends not to either.

Great view, not so great wine. $15 tasting fee per person and not redeemable on purchase. Obnoxious tour groups. The extra star is for a nice iced latte.

Lauren was a great host. She took her time to talk us through the tasting and the wines were delicious. The venue has the best views in the valley, would definitely recommend!

Very laidback atmosphere, excellent service, surprisingly good canned wine and some very unique vintages. Contrary to weird rumours, their profits don't go to the Chinese government. The owners have been in the area for over 20 years, and the general atmosphere is about as quintessentially Australian as you can get. Highly recommend.

Pros: amazing view, lovely staff, peaceful

Cons: wine tasting $15 each and not deducted if buying wine, no formal food, deli serves overpriced crackers/cheese/meat.

My favourite winery in Yarra Valley. The staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming. Such a peaceful spot with a breathtaking view.

What a way to end a day, watching the winter sun slowly fall to sleep beyond the rolling hills and vineyards in the distance. A stunning glass of Shiraz to keep you warm completes the experience. Probably one of the best locations in Yarra Valley to experience a fantastic range of wine, you'll not be disappointed.

What a spectacular place.
Views are beyond beautiful and the perfect setting for a sunny day.either with a loved one or a group.
Wine is fab and the food avail to buy is yummy but would be great during non covid being served a warm dish.
Staff are light hearted and very welcoming

Lovely spot for wine tasting and beautiful views. Staff are fantastic! Wines are so smooth and easy to drink! The triple cream cheese and prosciutto was also so delicious on our deli platter.
