Nadia Tribuzio reached out to me about a role which I then took the time to interview for. After the interview I didn't hear anything for a week and then received a call from Nadia saying how well I had done at the interview and that I was the strongest candidate. She let me know that I was through to the second stage of interviews and that she would be in touch within 24-48 hours to confirm a date and time for the second interview. 4 weeks later I have had no contacted from her. I emailed her asking for feedback and I had presumed the role has been filled and I have not heard anything back. Absolutely appalling service. If you reach out to someone for a role you are trying to fill, at least have the decency to get back to the applicant and not leave them hanging out to dry. Lucky for me I went through a different recruitment company who were amazing and have now landed a much better position.

My recruiters failed to show care or interest in jobs that best matched my interests, skills and experience. Very disappointed by their lack of follow up and disinterest in advocating for me when I was in unhealthy workplaces. Would never recommend this service!

Hays recruitment is so unprofessional. Had an informal interview booked in with a recruiter and they called 50 minutes past the actual scheduled time. They also make you jump through so many hoops for only temporary work. Not worth it

Hello Hays, Thank you for asking for my feedback via email. I have positive and negative feedback for my Hays recruiter Alejandra. I'm grateful that I'm matched with the right job and the right client, environment, etc. But when it comes to the Work-pro request they are a bit pushy and will keep calling and calling you at work not valuing your time when you are busy at work (with the client). My manager wasn't happy and said Hays should contact me via email. One time my recruiter called me at work while she was on the train finishing work and going home and that shows a total discard of my time at work which made it very stressful. When I was trying to explain she would say yes I understand "BUT" this. " BUT" that. I don't think she understands which I find disrespectful not only to me but also to the client for not having control over our conversation letting it into a kind of argument and ruining my day lost my focus at work!

General feedback: I don't understand why Hays requires candidates to go through the police check when the client who is a government agency doesn't care and doesn't require a police check for any employee, contractor, casuals, and even for finance and payroll people (checked with the client's HR). I did contract jobs for a few Gov.agencies through other recruiters in the past and have never undergone a history check. My Hays recruiter said it is mandatory for all candidates to undergo a security check regardless of the organization or placement type. I wasn't asked for a police check for my last contract job with Hays just a couple of years ago so it doesn't make sense? ! I think this recruiter must be new to her job and needs more training.

Hays has been amazing assisting me to find my next career break. Every consultant that I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. Hays helped me to set up 4 interviews all together as I was not successful on my first 3 interviews. However, on no occasions they sound negative, instead they kept me motivated for my next interview.
Also Hays has beautiful website that has tons of resources that anyone can access to for free.

Absolutely the worst experience! Hays need to teach their consultants how to respect employees and how to do their job professionally. Unprofessional and rude attitude towards staff, got my timesheets wrong for many times and even send me to wrong centre. Which has never happen with other agency. When u talk on the phone, the consultants all sound rude and never do their job! You basically need to chase them for payment and I just wonder how these people got employed? !

Brendan is an angel, Sally is lovely. I loved the posting. Hays are awesome to deal with, extremely professional, friendly and responsive. If for any reason my next role doesn’t suit me, I would go back to Hays in a flash to have them place me somewhere that suits my skill set, lifestyle and personality. Recently placed into a role via Hays. 4 weeks later after starting, including an employment agreement signed off, I'm asked for more reference checks, claiming its a request from my organisation. Nothing in writing has been given, phone calls are all from blocked numbers. No clear explanation or even criteria for what they want has been provided. This is a thoughtless and unkind act to put on an incumbent, as now it makes me think I have not fully secured employment at all and should still be on the market for work. There is no candidate complaints process to be found on their website. They were overly aggressive and pushy with me during the recruitment process to fill out my paperwork without fully allowing me the time that I specified up front to review the documentation only to find that there was a 4 week wait time on their end anyway. So if the reference checks were insufficient, they should not have rushed and pushed me and held off until I could satisfy their reference check criteria which I would have gladly done. Avoid Hays, awful to deal with, later communication for more reference checks never in writing, continuous calling from blocked numbers various times per day, messages just like "call me" with no information and stories which don't connect and therefore indicates dishonesty. Spam eMails to participate in their training almost every day. Do not have anything to do with Hays

My experience looking for roles with Sonja Winkelmann at the Melbourne branch has been an absolute joy and she is an asset to the organisation. Hays is a excellent recruitment company. Hays handled recruitment processes very professional. Alex in Hays kept in touch through out the process and answered all my questions and queries. All important meetings and interviews were conducted on time. Overall it was a great experience.

They asked me to give an example of a time when I gave great customer service, and then got angry with me and said it sounded like I was making it up. It made me cry. I’m quite new to the workforce, and it was a really disheartening experience.
