Hanoi Hannah Vol. II - Vietnamese Restaurant reviews
63Shame about the food. Lazy, lackluster food.duck rolls with hardly any duck.chicken rolls flat and tasteless. Great wait staff and atmosphere though.
Worst bahn Mi I've ever had to be honest. 2 slices of pork, that's it. Wet bread, and nothing crispy about the pork, entirely undercooked and jelly like.
First time here and ordered noodles and coke which cost $30. The food is good but a bit overpriced for Vietnamese food.
Very bland food unfortunately. Had vermicelli noodle bowl. Very little sauce, not enough to flavour the entire bowl. Fried Tofu absolutely no flavour. All 4 of us commented similarly on the food. Service pleasant. Price just a little over appropriate for what you get. Went to the ice cream shop on the corner after which was worth the trip.
In desperate need of a good pho whilst freezing in Melb’s and they delivered. Soup stock full of flavour and soup filling. Crispy pork double crisped/fried and prawns. Extra lemon. Egg noodle as opposed to rice noodle.
My guest who had her tonsils removed recently had the poached chicken pho to try to ease the eating process. Great waiter, all the way from the USA
First time at Hanoi Hannah and it was great. A cool, fun vibe! It was a group of us so we had the set menu which was delicious. The pork belly was yummy! We were served by the lovely Isabella. She was so attentive and very sweet! Thanks guys:)
Unfortunately dropped the ball on the food quality and service that had made this place one of the hot spots of modern Vietnamese cuisine in Melbourne.
Cosy atmosphere, great service and very accommodating staff. Modern take on Vietnamese dishes resulting in yummy dishes.
We recently stopped in here for lunch. I had the chargrilled chicken Banh Mi and my friend had the Sticky Pork Rice Bowl. Truly absolutely delicious. There is a cocktail bar with daily specials. Staff were very friendly and super efficient. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Nice funky Vietnamese food, busy and a tad noisy place. Parking is an absolute nightmare around that area. Once inside chill with a entree of rice paper roll and a glass of wine. The mains were very fresh with lots of salads and greens, the food was very tasty and light.
Very nice food, nice staf. BUT, PAID $155 FOR 3 STARTERS AND 2 VEEMICELI DISHES. NOT EVEN ALCOHOL. $42 FOR 1 BOWL OF RICE WITH A COUPLE OF SPRINGROLLS! YOU GET STEAK IN A NICE RESTAURANT FOR THIS PRICE! MENU NOT CLEAR WITH PRICES.
Loved my little snack of sticky port lettuce dippers, and my watermelon and mint sipper. Delish. The service was friendly and attentive.
Awesome food and even more fabulous customer service. We were served by the lovely Anja a few nights ago, who was an absolute superstar. Made us laugh and was so helpful and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back for the incredible food and atmosphere (and the fabulous staff)
Honestly, love Hanoi Hannah! A more casual eatery but does not produce average but rather delicious, fresh, and flavoursome food! Every item, even those fried, are extremely fresh and tasty, not oil and heavy and instead you'll leaving feeling satisfied and light! Loved the rice paper rolls, the sashimi went better than i anticipated inside these especially paired with fresh vietnamese herbs.on a colder occasion the curries and pho are also full of flavour and comfort, and you've got to give the papaya salad a go to for a refreshing side! Service was extremely friendly, prompt and attentive! Nice vibe and bustling environment too, thanks Hanoi!
Aisha was absolutely amazing! So so accommodating of all requests! Extremely friendly! She made my experience exceptional. She knew the menu extremely well and was very attentive!
Excellent service and food. Drinks were on the small side and expensive. Waitress had an excellent knowledge of the dishes offered.
Food and service were great. Prices pretty good. Staff seemed very happy in their jobs. A bit crowded and noisy as a result.
Been here a few times and it’s normally fantastic. But today we went for a birthday and were super disappointed. We ordered the sticky pork and crackling (4 dishes as it’s our favourite and we all wanted one) but the staff neglected to mention that there was no crackling. We only found out when the meals arrived and we questioned where it was. It was pretty dodgy and disappointing that they didn’t tell us when we ordered and still made us pay full price!
Paid $20 for the lemongrass squid. This is what arrived. Usually love u guys but this was not it
Lovely Vietnamese restaurant, where we got to sit outside. We got the Vermicelli noodles one with the pork and one with the chicken. Large portions with good serves of meat. The papaya salad was very fresh and not too spicy. I had an Iced Coffee which was delicious.
