Hamer Hall Stage Door reviews
69 This was the first concert I have attend since March last year because of Covid 19. It was wonderful to be back. A shortened programme and still some restrictions, but brilliant performances from the orchestra
and soloist.
The best Melbourne concert hall in my view, probably because my son performed there several times in recent years. Acoustic excellent, iconic internal decor, professional staff who are helpful - do attend any of their performance to your liking.
Acoustically superior space. Rather drab stage setting and unimaginative stage lighting. But you go there to HEAR music, correct? And there's few better venues for that.
Spot on. Stage and setting were excellent. Comfortable seats and expansive theatre for an excellent show.
Fantastic service, a comfortable venue and great sound.
We saw Herbie Hancock recently, but U have also seen numerous orchestra shows here and it is one of my favourite venues in Melbourne. We are lucky to have it!
Watched the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra perform James Bond: Casino Royale and the atmosphere was fantastic.
The lines to the bar were very long at intermission, however it turns out there is a service to preorder your drinks before the show, and to pick them up at the intermission.
I don't think this was very well known by patrons judging by the lines.
Always such a brilliant venue! Can't go wrong, especially if the MSO are performing! Enjoy every second of this Melbourne institution!
Just wonderful to be dancing in the aisles with half the audience in our sacred arts space, usually hallowed and so respectful. A brilliant night of music from the Balkans, Spain, Israel, and all around. This is what multiculturalism looks like.
One of the best venues to hear music in the world. Beautiful environment. Helpful stars and many eating/drinking options.
Hamer Hall is the home of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. A beautifully designed place of creativity, culture and entertainment.
Casino Royale on screen with the music played by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, live and completely immersed. No cinema in the world could compare!
Que increible. Escuchando Requiem de Mozart. Amazing experience with the Melbourne symphony orchestra tonight.
Seen comedy and music there and both are great. One of the best live venues in Melbourne. Seats are actually comfortable with plenty of leg room. If you need parking near by, park at the Langham, just check the rates before entering.
Always love it here. Fantastic sound and enjoyed the bar pre and at intermission. Feels very special
Very impressing hall for any occasion, multi levelled and with facilities galore. Catering for the University graduation was great and a bar always compliments.
Fantastic place to see the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Excellent audiovisual experience. Friendly staff.
A bit inconvenient that you can’t take your drinks from the bar into the hall, unless you want to drink them from a little plastic bowl. So much unnecessary rubbish.
A great venue to hear the MSO. The sound from the stage is excellent at the two Balcony Row seats I recently occupied: P49 and E62.
A spectacular concert venue in the heart of Southbank classically known for hosting classical performances. Entering through the elegantly lit lobby, and gliding down the plush stairway envelopes you with a crescendoing feeling of going forth to witness an event of immense wondrousness.
The circular hall's acoustics, ambience, and layout are highly exemplary, tending not to disappoint, and usually enhances the standards of the performances to transcendental heights.
Love Haner Hall. Good seating can see the stage clearly from pretty much anywhere. Good ambience and feel and love the old school charm to it.
