The acoustics are exceptional. On this occasional we went to experience the excellent performances of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. My son is a fan and gifts me such events for Father's Day.

This is just an amazingly creative example of contemporary architecture. The seating is designed so that most of the audience are relatively close to the stage.

An amazing venue with great acoustics. Good customer service. Great amenities and good lighting. Well thought out space and a great sensory reception for your senses.

Hammer Hall may be a bit difficult to find on the first visit if you don’t look it up too closely first, but it’s actually a great location walking distance from Flinders Street Station train and trams along St Kilda Road.

The performance quality of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 performance was amazing and with the affordable memberships, I’m hooked in to support them and try a Mozart session next!

The views were great from everywhere, food, drinks and toilets were easily accessed and it’s a different experience of great talent well worth visiting!

The best in Australia.
The design, the seating, the performances, the staff members
Such a magical place for a magical moment

Had the great fortune to watch the ever brilliant Tim Minchin and his accompanying band last night (7/06/21)

Venue itself is good, could use some clearer direction as to how to find which door to enter the performance hall through and more space between seats/larger seats in general.
Staff are helpful.
Stage and lighting is excellent.
Appreciate the overall vintage feel of the place.

Saw Tim Minchin here. Tim was great. But the "covid safe capacity reduction" is ridiculous. Why reduce crowds if you are going to seat everyone together anyway. Front half full of audience, back half empty, why not space people out?

Although we were a bit late to our show, staff were super professional and helpful. Beautiful venue.

Tim Minchin's concert
Full covid-19
Half audience
F King brilliant
Was dragged by my wife after her bff pulled the plug.

As soon as he came on it was interesting
Slightly self defficating but with humour.
Some flaws in his thinking but not so much to sway the way you think.
More comedy than preaching.
Not what I expected. Happily

Now for a concert event
A+
Band was on note and timing much better than expected given covid.
Was fortunate to be in front row.
However at no time were we highlighted
Anxiety friendly
Great beats and brass sections

Band looked genuinely happy and enjoyed the music and concert.

Tim Minchin's ability to talk fast and sing quicker is already known but I always assumed it was somehow over dubbed.
Its not
He is crystal clear at roughly 80 words a minute.

Elephant in the room which was addressed.
For us Catholics out there not too bad when it comes to questioning God.
There is a song about Sam and his catorattic mother which was funny but highlighted selective miracles. But as he did say prior all religions could be covered.
To be perfectly honest I thought he was talking about planet shakers but it was hill song, so in general catholic with a lower case c. I would go again regardless.

Rocking songs
Rocking band
Surprisingly brilliant front man

If I had to say then it was entertaining on many levels
Tim Minchin is an entertainer in a true form.
Engaging and talented
4+

Thanks

Went for the Daniel Sloss show.
Beautiful theatre, and the sound system is great, but I'm not a fan of the seats which were super-uncomfy.

Love this theatre, cosy and inviting. Seating is comfortable and is well placed that views are not blocked

Don't be late - when you hear those chimes of doom, get to the door! Otherwise you'll be at the bar until intermission.

Good acoustics, stage can be seen clearly from far away seats easily and nice staff. Things are organized and there's enough space between rows. The only thing I dislike here are the seats. Too stiff and wouldn't be comfortable for a long show.

This was a terrifc production. One complaint: Do we have to suffer the indoctrination of being taught and acknowledging the aboriginal lands etc. It took 10 minutes off the performance and was completely unnecessary. Why do we need to suffer an aboriginal singer and be taught and have xplianed what it means about the aboriginal lands that we are on. The acknowledgement if you must can be read in 2 minutes maximum. Very dissappointed that we had to suffer that! I shall reconsider whether to book an MSO performance in the future. We dont need to be taight! We come for the performance not an aborigianl education session.

Great sound and atmosphere. However, the stage is too deep and the stair is too steep.

Updated,
Re-opened again on 27th March 2021 after one year Melbourne lock down!

Great venue, after Daniel Sloss last night, and Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey here a few times, you have to Hamer during Comedy Festival

Daniel Sloss was amazing, brilliant performance and lovely venue. Only problem is there is no where so sit a drink at the seats

Great concert, absolutely fabulous, but not quite sure why they separated our booking for 4 people into 2 pairs with seats in between then put some latecomers immediately beside us, no gap. Strict protocols so arriving early is encouraged.
