Hamer Hall Stage Door reviews
69 Such a wonderful venue, I have had the pleasure of seeing many concerts at Hamer Hall. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
The location of Hamer Hall is the perfect location in our beautiful city, close to public transport or if you drive there is plenty parking available. The variety of restaurants within walking distance of Hamer Hall is fabulous you certainly will not be disappointed.
The MSO, conducted by Sir Andrew, performed Handel's Messiah with great aplomb in this accoustically perfect venue.
A great entertainment space. Excellent acoustics. Pity about the very expensive restaurants for a captive audience
I mean it's an ok place to go for events and stuff but it was just a bit uncomfortable and the air-conditioning backstage didn't work, everyone was sweating until they came on-stage and it wasn't pretty. Seating was just a tad bit questionable.
The Hamer hall is such a great space. Love the acoustics and the seating allows good views of the stage
My first trip to the world famous Hamer Hall was to see the indomitable Dr. Lalah Hathaway as part of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
Staying true to all things Melbourne, the design of the building is incredibly chic and with a very functional layout. Brilliant service from the staff made the visit all that more special.
Hammer Hall is well setup for a great music experience. It has good acoustics and stage visibility from all seats. The staff are well trained and manage crowd movement professionally. Well worth going to.
Great venue for live performance. Seating and sound is superb.
The only issue is they've not yet worked out (in 2023) how to provide internet access beyond the ground level. Word of advice: don't wait until you're lined up to go into the theatre, particularly if you've gone down 2 or 3 levels underground, and then try to access your electronic tickets in your Ticketmaster or Tiketek app/account.or you'll have to dash back up to ground level to access any internet connection! Very frustrating when attempting to ticket share etc.without coverage. (Yes, in an ideal world we'd all be better organised) but really.pretty sure internet boosters are a thing.
Awww had an absolutely wonderful time.
John Foremans "AUSSIE POPS ORCHESTRA "
A Gala Concert with awesome talent including Mark Vincent, Marina Prior, the brilliant Camberwell Chorale & lovely to see Doug Heywood also.
The dancers were fabulous.
Overall a great end to 2022
HNY to all!
The acoustics are good as was the view of the stage.
Whether you enjoy it there depends on the show you are seeing.
Close to trams this event venue is in the Arts Precinct of Melbourne. It is the last building before the bridge after the theatre venue. Free Wi-Fi is available for patrons and is easy to get connected. Your mobile service may not work here (mine did not) but if you access the Wi-Fi you should be able to download or connect to your ticket for entrance to the concert hall. This venue has escalators and lifts so it is wheelchair and walker accessible. There is a place to leave your walker near the back wall and plenty of room for wheelchair positioning for viewing. The venue has a bar for drinks to be purchased on each floor.
Every single seat in this magnificent place has an excellent view of the stage, and the acoustics are exceptional.
I loved the backdrop but wish they had a TV screen for the people watching from a top. It was hard to see the comedians facial expressions from our seats because we were so far from the stage.
Seats are comfy. Food and Bev situation distinctly lacking. Accoustics are better from the top dress circle. If you're anywhere but dead centre in the stalls, or the mezzanine, it sounds like listening to music through a wet tea bag. Iconic Melbourne venue: despite it's obvious, numerous, well known flaws, we all still go.
I like it here in this fairly intimate hall where the sound is just beautiful. The red walls look like the side of a rock face and the lights hanging from the roof also have a beautiful red casing.
Outside the hall itself, the ceilings on both the ground level and basement below and worth admiring.
There is a bar on the ground level and basement level.
Exiting after the show can take a while with limited escalators but if course there are lifts available too.
Atmosphere, ambience, friendly staff, excellent seating, great show. We loved it, “The Music of James Bond” by the Aussie POPS Orchestra. Cheryl & Vaughan.
Wonderful place for a live show. Seats comfortable, facilities clean and decor superb, sound quality of the hall was amazing.
"Do you hear the people sing" performance. Magnificent venue to hear these remarkable performer
Great venue and easy to get to, amazing acoustics and lighting, comfortable seats. Food and drinks also available for those going to a show straight from work.
One of the best venues I've been to in Melbourne. It's beautiful, the acoustic is amazing and yhe seating layout very well designed. Conveniently located with parking just nearby. Always happy to go for a show!
