Halliday Park reviews
57 Lots of families having a BBQ/Party. Activity area for kids fantastic.
Can get busy on weekends in good weather
This local park is well suited to accommodate families who wish to enjoy time together.lt has a wonderful playground suitable for various ages inclusive of a safe water section. As it is situated on an oval there is plenty of room for more robust play. Shade is provided by surrounding trees a some shelter. Toilets are close by as is off street parking. A flying fox suitable for the more adventurous inclusive of younger ones under supervision. One of the better parks worth visiting.
We have our team events and BBQ and it’s a great spot I must say! Nice shade in between on hot and sunny days. Great park for kids to play around.
We have had so many wonderful days in this awesome park, and it is even better now that all of the lovely native foliage has grown taller and taller. There is flying foxes, swings, mini trampoline, music house, slippery slide, climbing frame, spring see-saw etc. There is also BBQ facilities and picnic tables. The area is well shaded and off the road so there are minimal hazards for children’s. There is also great paths for cycling. Also lovely open spaces for cricket or to kick a ball. Love it here!
Go to park for bbq and relaxing. The place needs to update their slides and other park features
Beautiful park, right now in Autumn the colours are splendid.
Great play ground with interesting things for kids. Good bbqs, heaps of space to walk, sit and ride small bikes on paths. Good parking but a very busy place on a beautiful day.
We have been coming to Halliday Park for 15 years, before and after the renovation. As well as the playground which is great, there are large open spaces for playing a variety of games and sports. Also there are BBQs surrounded by large trees that afford excellent shade. It is a great family friendly space. The toilets are clean and accessible since the upgrade. In warm weather it is very popular so if you are planning an activity get there early or be prepared to share the space. The one small problem is the access off Mitcham Rd. It is a narrow driveway and can be awkward when cars at the bowls club are parked on this driveway. Just need to be patient. All in all a great space in Mitcham for all abilities.
Great spot for a picnic or a play. Fair warning, though, this a a popular site for Pokemon, and on certain days, there will be a crowd.
Been there many times with the Fire Engine for Birthday Parties - very busy car park at the back of the Bowls Club. Had to park in Ormond Avenue
Nice and green park with car park as well. There are 4 public BBQs and lots of options to keep the kids busy.
A very well done playground for children with BBQ space for adults. Toilet and access for wheelchairs. Safe environment with natural surroundings. Good parking space. A free experience that is priceless to have under your feet. Loads of fun games to play at with parents and children activities.
Kids love this park, especially the flying fox. Lots for them to do and picnic, bbq facilities there too.
Plenty of shades and tables or bring your own picnic rugs. Lots of parking space and nearby toilets. Heaps of space to kick some footy or soccer balls. BBQ facilities and drinking fountains. Very popular in the warmer months.
Great BBQ and play facilities. Ok parking. Lots of young families. We go to the ANZAC dawn service each year which is done very well.
Great playground especially for younger kids. Has 2 flying foxes. Mini in ground tramp. Play equipment could be bigger. Place for bows and generally most people that attend actually watch out for their own kids. So not many unruly kids
This park is a family favourite. Great play spaces for the kids. Very popular for birthday celebrations as there are several bbqs and picnic tables but due to this it becomes quite busy on weekends. Particularly in the warmer months. All round a great place for a play!
