Halliday Park reviews
57Nice big park to go with family and enjoy with all needed amenities bbq, rest rooms, basketball court, oval, walking track, kids play area and swings.
There are basketball court, sheds, water play, bbq facilities - good for kids birthday party
Always a family favourite for meet ups. The undercover area is perfect for party setups in close proximity to BBQs and huge playground so you can keep an eye on the kids. The large oak trees and well maintained gardens offer lovely surrounds. Good walking track around the oval size grass area, plenty of space for kicking a ball without it crashing into a gathering. Look out for the new ice cream van on the weekend.
Great local park.
Plenty of space for a variety of activities, great inclusions including basketball court and bbqs and plenty of open grass area for dog walking.
This is a dog on leash park, definitely not suitable for dogs off leash.
A very good playground for toddlers through to early teens, plus has one of the few easily accessible 'flying foxes' for younger children. Our 3 and 5 yo granddaughters love this park.
Great park for kids, plenty to play with & lovely park area for a family picnic. Had a birthday party too which perfect for adults & kids.
Great playground area with lots of facilities. Good mix of play equipment for all ages including some water play area. A few BBQ areas and shelter too.
Beautiful park with a proper walking track, ample play area for children, free BBQ area with picnic benches and a nice war memorial to top it all off!
Spacious garden with wide area of grass for sports and to bring your pets around. Includes a playground with a flying fox, swings and other similar playground equipments that you children will love. Newly renovated half court basketball area is decent, but floor gets a little slippery when wet due to it being outdoors.
This playground is not super big but packed with lots of modern facilities for kids to play. The playground is designed for kids of all ages. Toilets, bbq, basketball court, flying fox. The facilities are very complete. A perfect place for kids to enjoy.
Lots of different activities for children of all ages, even for really young tots. Well maintained with thick mulch covering the ground. There are also bbq pits, tables and chairs, and restrooms.
We just recently visited here for the Anzac Day Dawn Service. A local park with a memorial statue to pay our respects. Haven't visited here through the day before but driven past and noticed families enjoying the area.
It was much better back in the 90s and each time I come to visit, it gets much worse. The only remnant of a massive horizontal spiderweb is a small hammock. The large amount of play equipment has vanished and replaced with something i'd expect of a local footy oval. The water flow.thing did not work, no matter what way I spun the wheel, The flying foxes have shrunk and now they add a half court to play basketball.
At least the swing in the bottom left is pretty good.
The War Memorial is the same. It never changes.
Our toddler loved it. Something for all ages but it was good that they had thought to make some of the big kids stuff accessible to the little ones!
Went to dawn service and it was great. Only issue is the siund system. Very difficult to hear. Couldn't hear anything said by kids or the minister.
Beautiful playground with a range of equipment levels for different age groups. Oak trees provided shade and entertainment.
This park is an amazing place for all sort of family activities. It ticks all the boxes.the playground area is the best part of the park. The range of playing equipments is fantastic, and kids with different age groups and abilities can enjoy it! Basketball court, flying fox, trampoline, musical bridge (it's what I have named it), sand and water play area, and other normal range of playground equipment. The BBQ facilities are fantastic and it is undercover which is a bonus for summer or rainy day. Few tables have printed chess board and backgammon on them so if you have the playing pieces you can play. The other side of the park has a nice establishment of memorial soldiers, and a nice garden of beautiful range of local plants? And a beautiful rose garden. This park has a magnificent color in autumn with colourful autumn leaves!
The carpark access is via Bowling green Ln on Mitcham Rd or sometimes it's a good idea to access park from Ormond Avenue.
What a great park, my first visit here for a friend's birthday, wow, great family vibe, lots of electric bbq's to cook a batch of food for everyone, lots of play equipment for kids, allround great family orientated park. Highly recommended
Specifically came to this park as suggested by Mamma Knows East and what an excellent recommendation! All rages play spaces with plenty of options for BBQ, picnic, running & even basketball. We will be back very soon! Playground is shaded by many large gumnut trees which is fantastic in the middle of summer! Toilet were terrible but at least there were toilets we could use (brings wipes etc).
