Gyoza Gyoza - Japanese Restaurant Chadstone reviews
68Amazing food and cosy atmosphere. The dishes and whole aesthetic of the place elevated the dining experience. The food was beautiful and delicious for a reasonable price. My favourite would definitely be the croquettes
My recent experience at Gyoza Gyoza - Chadstone was a delightful journey through Japanese cuisine. The gyoza dumplings were a standout, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor inside. The ambiance was lively, and the attentive service made the evening even more enjoyable.
I paid almost $17 for a grilled salmon dish. For the price, I expected a meal size but it was more of an entree size. It might seem big in the photo but the plate is the size of one of those dessert dishes. The atmosphere of the shop itself was okay but the people next to us were very noisy. The heating was very hot and irritated my skin even when I was just wearing a T-Shirt. I had a good experience last time I visited but this time left me hungry and feeling a bit grumpy and poor.
The service was the only good thing, the staff was very nice and patient.
Ok restaurant, better for smaller bites than full and filling meals though, as the portions are small. Food was okay, but nothing impressive. We were given a tablet to order from ourselves and there wasn’t much direct service.
Okay food, lots of options I wouldn't go back tho.
Most of the to dishes I ordered were flavourless
The staff were lovely and did their best to be accommodating and bring our orders out quickly despite the fact that we were a large group.food wad very tasty and everyone seemed happy with what they ordered! Would come again.
The ambience is good, the staff is very nice and hospitable but the food wasn't the best. More like the dishes are a hit and a miss.
The salmon sashimi was bearable but only with lots of soy sauce and the Tonkatsu Curry Rice was v disappointing lacking any sort of a flavour at all.
The Yakisoba is v nice but it lacks that exquisite flavour. The saviour of our food was Garlic & Pork Pan Fried Gyoza and I recommend you eat as much of it as possible!
But undoubtedly the star of the show was the jug of mixed berries sangria that we ordered. This is unmissable.
Went with a party of 4 and was told they didn’t have seats inside which was fine and we were happy to sit outside, the staff member that sat us down was rude and clearly was annoyed by us just being there. He gave us the menu and then went to the table next to us and was apologetic to them for not being able to come and speak to them sooner while saying, “people just busting my _! ” My partner asked him if we could get an extra chair as we had 4 people sitting in a 3 people outdoor bench. He said there were no chair to offer while we saw plenty of chairs at tables where there were only two people sitting and eating with 2 extra chair just sitting there. Still putting up with the attitude we asked for an extra table which he offered to help with but after the customer service that was provided by him it just put us off our appetite. Perhaps hiring people that wanna work and are happy to help with customer service would have made our experience better.
The service was good, most of the food was decently good.
But for the love of good food, the matcha mont blanc was horrible. I never thought that any dessert could be bad until it.
Stopped by Gyoza Gyoza last night for dinner with my partner and gotta say, place so nice they named it twice!
Great experience, friendly staff and tasty food.
We came there and no inside seating available for us (2ppl) so we have to seat outside which is fine. Unfortunately they don't have much tables inside, but the outdoors seating provided with heaters on. I'm not sure if they understaffed or what but at that time the staffs wasn't really helpful with our orders. Since we seat outside its very hard to reach them and we have to go inside or wait until 1 of them come out if we have any enquires. First we ordered Chefs special gyoza which is nice but can't really taste the prawn. Okonomiyaki that was quiet disappointing because its very dry unlike usual. Fried rice a bit tasteless but it was still good and stone grill katsu is the best from our foods. Waiting time quiet long around 20-25 mins.
We are the first order, but wait almost 30mins until the first dish comes, all other customers who came after us all been serviced food. We asked for a few times to check but only let us to wait. Very bad organizing, later we still pay the only one we got. I would give zero if possible. Lack of customer services.
My friend and I got the lunch special and it was so good! For around $19 each we got so much food and it tasted delicious plus the staff are really kind and friendly.the portions are generous too and the menu had lots of variety to choose from
Quite expensive beers and inexpensive food. We like the Japanese tapas style, there's something for everyone. The fried veggie gyoza are a bit dry, though.
On Friday 12th August my boyfriend, Audrey and Craig had dinner at Gyoza Gyoza - Chadstone. We ordered Grilled Corn, Minced Prawn and Chives Dumplings, Panned Fried Wagyu Beef and Onion Dumplings, Deep Fried Tentacle, Crab Claw, Softshell Salad, Salmon Tataki Salad, Cranberry Juice and Guava Juice. The customer service by Mona and Sasha was good. Kenneth and Jerry did the cooking. The food and drinks tasted really nice and came out quickly as well. We were impressed the staffs hard work and customer service skills. They were excellent. Highly recommend.
As a huge fan of Japanese cuisine, this place was awesome. The stone grill was a highlight and a must-try for any steak-lovers. The sweet chilli tori karaage is also a new favourite. We will definitely go back and treat ourselves next time we’ve done a big day of shopping at Chadstone.
One of our favourites at Chadstone Shopping Centre. Asahi Black on tap with a selection of gyoza, karaage and whatever else takes our fancy.
You order via ipad which is quick and simple. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. During the warmer months outdoor is best but the indoor seating is good if you are not right beside the kitchen.
Service is very fast. They also offer a takeaway and delivery service.
Today we had:
Cauliflower Karaage
Popcorn Chicken
Panfried Pork and Ginger Gyoza
Panfried Vegetable Gyoza
Squid mini burgers (sliders)
Jug of Asahi Black
All items were great
Also recommend the Beef tataki, Soft Shell crab and ika salad.
You can share meals so order a selection. Great for groups of people.
Staff are friendly. Can get very busy.
I used to love this place when it was in the city, but was pretty unimpressed on my last visit at Chadstone, the waitress was very good and professional but the food was mostly all cold, everything that was fried felt like it was fried hours earlier then reheated In a convection oven or an air fryer (you can feel that oven crunchiness and not a frier crispiness, edges are browned and slightly bitter) Also ordered my favorite minced garlic gyoza and it was served "pre-sauced" with no vinegar-soy on the side (who doesn't dip their gyoza?) and most importantly, 3 of the gyozas were minced garlic, the rest were just regular pork gyozas, not sure what happened there. Would still recommend it because it was probably just a bad day.but there's definitely room for improvement.
Very bad service so slow and long time to wait for the food and still didn't received everything. Reserved a table for 11 and one we where there we still had to wait. We where all finish our food and my partner still didn't get his and once we where all done they still said it was 20 mins wait.
So many choices in both food and beverages. Great place to go with as a group. The cheesy corn and Miso scallops were my favourite dishes. Thank you!
