Grey Shark Fish & Chips

We have been obtaining our chips from Grey Shark for about 18 months and we have found them to be consistent with their food preparation.

Hidden across the road from maroondah hospital, perfect to get your love one something yummy and delicious to eat. Perfect location to stop in and pick up.

Went here for the first time tonight and will be back again. Chips were very crispy and hot. Battered and grilled flake were delicious.

Went on Easter Friday, they had a sign up asking for patience as it was their busiest night of the year and it truly was. They could probably benefit from a tighter or more clear ordering/waiting system but the fish was fresh, deliciously cooked and chips and sides were done very well. Will easily return!

Having lived so close within walking distance, im upset with myself for not having tried this place sooner! The burgers are definitely on the top of my partner and I's list everytime!

Tried Grey Shark for the first time tonight. Friendly, polite staff, very clean shop too. We ordered the value pack for 2. Fish was a generous serve and thick too. The meal was lovely, still hot when we got home. Minimum of chips would’ve served 4-6 adults comfortably. Our new fish and chip shop, we’ll be back.

The food is just amazing and the people are kind and SO generous. I am always satisfied with the service they provide!
It is a really busy place which also shows how good it is.

We have ordered from here before and loved it. But tonight having our same order was very disappointing. The grill fish was very greasy with too much crumbs/batter to fish. Could not eat it. Sorry.

I went there with Mandy this afternoon and I had a Grilled Blue Grenadier with 2 Steamed Dim Sims. Mandy had 1/2 a Fried Flake and 2 Potato Cakes. I took the 2 small Potato Cakes home for my Dinner. The reason we went there was because Crispy Catch at Burnt Bridge Shopping Centre was closed due to an electrical fault.

This is one of my favourite fish & chips stores in the area. My only issue is that the quality isn't always the same. Sometimes its amazing other times just okay.

Best crumbed fish! Freshest potato cakes I've ever tasted. Everything cooked perfectly. Generously threw in some extras. Extremely impressed.

Asked what type of oil was used and was told by the person behind the counter that they use animal fat - that is saturated fat and is very unhealthy - sad!

I ordered the value pack for one as recommended by a positive reviewer because I couldn't see a menu online but it's no problem as I picked one up in store when I walked straight in and collected my seriously delicious meal. Good value too, $9.50you get a piece of flake, potato cake and a dim sim with a generous helping of perfect chips.
They are a pleasant friendly crew and have obviously mastered the deep fryer. I can't wait to try all the fritters and MARS BAR IN BATTER!

Favorite fish and chip shop! The chips are so crunchy and creamy! It's also really cheap! Definitely give these guys a try! Best I'm the area!
