Green Bamboo Restaurant

I have been here many times with my friends and my family. Food is really fresh and yummy. Especially, staffs are amazing and friendly. You should give tips for staffs because they deserve it.

We waited a long time to place our order. Then our drinks and starters only arrived after we finished the mains.

Have been here a few times now for dinner & it has been good every time. Staff are nice, food is good & there is plenty of room so your not sitting close enough to hear other peoples conversations.

My partner and I have to resist the urge to try and not come here more then once a week! 5 star food!

Absolutely fantastic meal, good (and most importantly fresh) meal. You could tell the veggies and meat were fresh and full of flavour. The special fried rice was one of the best I have ever had, I also had a sizzling chilli beef which was delicious and my wife had the basil chilli chicken. Chilli was quite hot which I enjoyed, wife struggled a tiny bit but still ate it as it didn’t overpower the flavour. 5 stars well earned and will definitely go back again!

I enjoyed the food. Cooked to perfection. The people there were very friendly. They made us feel at home.

A bit expensive for me because I'm bad with money, but it is very good food. The lady I often see behind the counter is kind. She thought I was an uber driver once, and I misheard her so I nodded my head and said yes. I was hesitant to take the food because I didn't know the delivery address and it wasn't on the receipt, so thankfully she realized I was just there to pick up my Singapore noodles.

Beautiful food. We had the quails to share as an entrée Absolutely divine.
Served on little crunchy noodles with a delicious sauce. My husband took a gorgeous generous laksa And I took Exactly what I felt like A chef' speciality (beef sauté with onions) The waiter is always helpful and charming. Absolutely Zero faute for this restaurant. We are not living far It was our second time and Not the last.please don't change

Large menu with many traditional Vietnamese dishes including pho, bun, and my favorite - broken roice with grilled pork chop! The pork is cooked perfectly with a little bit of crispiness but still sweet and tender inside. Loved it!

Went here last night and got take away. It was so fresh and tasty. Definitely can tell the quality of the ingredients is fresh in every bite.

I have not had great authentic fresh tasting Vietnamese since I went to Vietnamese. This place is honestly not much from the facade or the interior but the food is amazing. Great place for a good feed and get the job done!

Authentic and mouthwatering cuisine. Sensational menu. Everything exquisite and the service always most pleasant. Delicious and highly recommend the Pho. It must be the best for miles. 5 stars

Great Chinese Vietnamese restaurant in Essendon. Phoo and Grilled chicken noodle salad are so good, my favourite! ️

Reasonably priced, good quality food, and good quality service. We originally ordered through menulog, and menulog completely stuffed both the restaurant and us over; the driver took our meal and never delivered, and we ended up waiting over an hour and a half before trying to find out what was happening. Green Bamboo contacted menulog on our behalf and had them call us to sort out compensation. I really hope the restaurant was compensated too. We called Green Bamboo and ordered through the restaurant and picked it up; laksa noodle soup with seafood, beef pho, and prawn spring rolls. Serving size was excellent, the food quality was excellent, and paying through the restaurant instead of menulog was cheaper! Even though both the restaurant and us were stuffed over by menulog, the staff at Green Bamboo were so apologetic even though this was not their fault at all. We will definitely be ordering from Green Bamboo again (but not through menulog!).

Green bamboo is great for casual dining. It is NOT an intimate fine dining restaurant. I mean that in the positive sense. You can come here with kids, or in casual clothes, or whatever and know you will get efficient service, tasty affordable food and no fuss. Huge menu. Suggestions for improvement are pretty minor, amp up the flavour on the chilli lemograss stir fry, and a few more vegetarian options would be nice (although I'm not vegetarian myself).
