Grand Hotel Mornington

The Grand hotel is a great place to socialise, meet and greet friends. The atmosphere is homely with friendly staff to help with all your needs.

I am sorry we have always loved the grand but we were really disappointed by the food we got when we last went there for my sons birthday, I seriously doubt we will go back in a hurry

Being a diner for 35 years at the Grand Dining rooms I was used to good service, Or you would go to the bar area where one would order and pay for the meal at a lower price then the meal would be delivered to the table in the bar area.
Well the new dining room has No Rolls, no service, get your own water from the bar, queue up and pay in advance a long way from being ideal.

Not a great experience, the food service was slow and some of the food was lukewarm and disappointing.

Great food, drinks and service. One of the best restaurants in the lovely suburb of Mornington. The waitresses are always nice to my kids too.

Had lunch with friends on a Wednesday which is market day in Mornington, so very busy but the service was good. I had lamb shank with a tomato gravy, served on a bed of mashed potato with vegetables. It was delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection; falling off the bone. The sticky date pudding to follow was very good also.

Service was a little slow and they'd sold out of a few things, other wise standard night at the pub

Good spot for a meal & drinks. After dinner, we sat at tables out the front where there was live music

Have come here every single week before COVID, spent ridiculous amounts of money on food and drinks 1-2 times a week which we were happy to do because we love the location and food but the customer service is honestly terrible. There’s been a few staff who have been very rude to us just because we are young, we are always respectful and mind our own busniess and when we try to talk to the waiters or bar staff they ignore us or as one of the waiters called us “immature” just because we laughed at how one of our friends said a word wrong that had nothing to do with her at all. This has happened every single week and the customer service has not gotten any better, we went the other night for the opening and were treated the same after 10 weeks lockdown and then we called a question about another booking we had and we recieved no help. Seriously dissapointing because we really used to love this place.

Great pub. Had Mick Rinaldi playing playing unplugged! What a great suprise. Covid safe, table service, top staff and the steak with chips and herb bread were amazing.

Really disappointing service on the last day of the Labour Day long weekend. The bistro was under 30% full. Our meals took almost 75 minutes after we ordered them to arrive. We were sorely tempted to have Uber Eats delivered to the bistro.

When questioned, the floor manager justified the delay as being due to the kitchen being short-staffed by one. Had we been informed of the delay on arrival, we would have eaten elsewhere.

There are plenty of alternative options in Mornington and we'll choose one the next time we're in town.

Best sports bar on the Peninsula, huge menu, great meals in both the bistro / restaurant or in the bar. Staff are always friendly.

Good food great atmosphere for lunch, friendly staff and quick service. Food was fresh and tasty

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Friendly family atmosphere. I really diverse menu including a seniors menu. I had lamb shanks with mash potatoes and veggies and it was delicious. Will come back for the crumbed frames and lambs fry on the $16 seniors menu. Service was attentive and quick.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere. We didn't have a booking but we're quickly shown to a table. The selection of food was great for a pub and not overly expensive. Table service ordering and drinks at the bar. Food was delicious.bservice was great. Would highly recommend a visit.

Historical value, great friendly bar staff & lovely food. Open outdoor area or main Street seating. Perfect for a family gathering, beautiful meals & entrees @ reasonable prices. Also a night club that also supports singers & bands on a weekend.hightly recommended.long time happy customer!
