Gourmet Curry Hut Indian Cuisine

We went there after reading good reviews of this place. On reaching there we were a highly dissapointed. How can this restaurant be among the top ones in Melbourne.

The place is small and some tables are arranged on the alley when the market closes. The restaurant area finishes off as you start seeing it. So if it is cold the restaurant is very hot but if you are made to sit on the alley then u will feel half hot and half cold. Either ways it was uncomfortable.

We ordered Tandoori Mushroom as Entree, Dal Tarka and Rice. The mushroom in the tandoori mushroom was raw and was only marinated from outside only. It was watery and not at all good. The quality or say the standard of rice was not good. The Dal was the only thing which was ok if not good.

I am really dissapointed and would not recommend it to anyone from my end. Didn't expect my dinner to be like this. The main person there even asked me how was everything and I clearly stated to him everything I had in my mind but then he was all ears and no mind and heart. He was not the owner and he hardly cared.

This restaurant has truly earned it's good reviews - authentic flavors, very friendly staff and bollywood music! We really enjoyed our dinner here. Restaurant is half outside, so wear something warm during the winter.
