Gor Gai Thai Food reviews
57It's nice overall however the duck curry doesn't have much gravy, it doesn't look like a curry. Service is good.
Excellent Thai food. Best Thai fish cakes and duck curry I have had in a long time. Lots of fresh herbs and spices…a taste sensation!
My go to Thai Restaurant in Ballarat after trying several. Food is always delicious I love their duck curry. Their dine in experience is always friendly and gracious as I have come to expect from good Thai restaurants.
We had a lovely dinner here. This was a great find for us in Ballarat. The food was lovely and very attentive staff. Liked the ambience here.
Highly recommended
Great Thai dishes and some hard to find street food style items
Reasonable prices for food and alcohol
Fantastic Thai food. One of the restaurants I normally recommend my friends if they want Thai food in Ballarat
Terrible. Waited 90 minutes for delivery in central Ballarat. Poor quality, little flavour. Lucky the food was cheap. Definitely paid for what you get. Wouldn’t recommend
This is the third time coming to Gor Gai. First time here I ordered the Bangkok ribs, which tasted burned and microwaved. But the last two times have been great. Great flavours you expect from a thai restaurant. I just feel like they can offer so much more.
On our way home from Melbourne and went looking for dinner at 7pm without a booking. Got a table and were thankful as the food was great and the service was excellent.
Can certainly recommend the satay chicken, fried rice with prawns and red curry. Will be going back.
Always great quality, amazing tasting food. Our absolute fav, it's always perfect! Never takes long and so worth it!
They do khao soi gai! I ate this dish in Chiang mai and it changed my life. And now I've found a Thai restaurant that does this dish really well! It's so good!
Went on a quiet week night and enjoyed a fried whole barramundi in tamarind/mussaman sauce with beef and vegetables in oyster sauce with rice. Everything was beautiful. Service was excellent. Finished with lovely desserts - a Thai Milk Tea Panna Cotta and Kanom Tuy (steamed coconut milk pudding)
Great food. Pinapple fried rice is not usually what I order, but our group ordered this and I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty it was. Very fast service and lovely staff.
Some dishes are overpriced, like the fried rice at $18. No china soup spoon provided, just an ordinary metal spoon. Customer service was attentive and quick, but lacking that friendly feeling.
The dishes themselves tasted nice, had a good variety of ingredients and were not too strong in flavour - just the way I like it!
Nice atmosphere and service. Good choice of gluten free and vegetarian options. My friend absolutely loved the curry puffs.
So so disappointed, worst pad Thai I have ever had- $18 for a take away and it was dry chicken, a few soggy pieces of spring onion and noodles.and a piece of lemon.no nuts or fresh chilli or veg, maybe some egg- I have a photo, not sure where to post it!
Enough good quality Thai fast food~
the serving speed was impressive
the food taste and choice here even better and more than many Thai food in Melbourne
the ingredients were fresh also
the Tom Yum Soup is the most delicious I had in Australia~
and I love the dessert here also, more choice than the other Thai place and taste good!
except the fried glass noodle is not that good, its too wet and too much tomato sauce taste, everything is all good!
Very accommodating of my sister who is allergic to garlic and onion, much more accommodating than even in my own house lol. Had a separate menu and everything, very grateful and impressed.
We lived in Thailand for three years since we have been back in Australia this is the first Thai restaurant that we have been to that had kept the food completely traditional and hasn't westernized it at all. Made us feel like we were back in Thailand. Beautiful and friendly staff amazing food and good prices.
