Goodlife Health Clubs reviews
61Super old gym, terrible amenities, rude staff and to top it off they will literally rob you by double or overcharging you at their own discretion. They will not reapond to any queries about this. Avoid at all costs.
Visited this gym yesterday with a friends guest pass and had to repeatedly tell person showing me around that I didn’t want to sign up and sat there uncomfortably while he kept trying to pressure me before I had even used the gym! By the 4th time I said no I had already decided there was no way I’d sign up no matter if I liked the gym or not. Waaaay too aggressive.
Steer clear. Staff can't follow basic instructions. Will debit full joining fee when you sign up on instalments then take weeks to refund. They will then use 2 weeks of your free hold period to cover the cost without telling you. $195 to cancel membership (which you will want to do). Shocking facilities, unhelpful condescending staff. Save your money.
Amazing Gym! This place is huge and has everything you ever need in a gym facility. I love using the pool and sauna after my workout and am so happy there is lots of floor space and weight equipment and the gym never feels crowded and busy. Highly recommend this club!
Called with/for my wife to cancel her membership due to moving country and was told that a $200 on the spot fine would enable us to do this. After explaining that I'd accept an invoice/bill 'after cancelling', I was told that the gym doesn't have to cancel a service without the fee being paid upfront. And customers do not have permission to simply request a cancellation of the contract. So essentially anyone on a low income is locked into a contract and will continue to be charged, if they don't have $200 disposal income that they can pay there and then. At this point in the conversation the rep said, 'I don't know what you're talking about' and hung up the call. This is outrageous.
Omg! If anyone’s looking for a complete leisure centre that’s literally got everything there. Goodlife Armadale is most definitely the way to go. The staff are just phenomenal. Thanking the Big Boss: Cathy Donati for her incredible service, who’s built quite an empire to fulfil the needs of each and every member. You won’t find another Management and their Co-Workers who are Absolute Superstars such as: Felix, Fiona, Lucas, Buick, Tara, Bella, Loz and Michelle. And they’ve also got some fabulous trainers: Riley, Melissa, David, Ben C, Emily, Ben F, Will, Sanjay, Haydn, Demèy and More. So if you haven’t already looked into joining a World Class Gym, remember today’s the day you Start. And THIS IS IT!
Went in for a 5 day free trial, but was greeted by one of the rudest staff I have ever met. She denied my free trial because apparently I have used other gyms before, even though I told her I was trialling new gyms to hopefully sign up. Got the strong impression she did not want me in her gym because I wasnt dressed up in fancy gym gear. Luckily for me I have lots of friends to tell them not to go here and for them to tell their friends also. Feel sorry for the people working under her.
The only highlight of this gym was a few of its staff.
Management is poor and lazy, this gym does not call you if you owe them money. They will just let it build up until they see fit or they’ve made profit.
Because of this club I never want to train at another goodlife health club ever again.
Thank you.
Really inconvenient set up. Unhelpful staff and intolerably filthy bathrooms.
Sorry but give this outlet a miss.
Not a great gym. Very hot in summer and staff don't have too much time for you. I cancelled my membership with 4 week notice period and was charged for 5 weeks, but when called to discuss was brushed off with a 30 second phone call. I now go to a local competitor which is much more friendly and better value. After all, if you don't use the pool you are still paying for it's maintenance.
The best part is the pool, sauna, steam, spa you get it all! Well the only down side is they are not 24/7 otherwise it would be perfect!
Great gym my local no heroes easy to park what more could you want? ! Yes some of the equipment is from the top gun era but hey I'm sure they will change it eventually! Other than that the change rooms are good!
The gym really needs a refurb. The mirrors in the group fitness room also drive me nuts they are distorted and are in 50 pieces so you can't see if you're in a join piece. No a/c in there also (or if there is it wasn't on).
Friendly and affordable gym for weights training, cardio, classes, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. This gym has a lot of mirrors around the wall that is great for checking your posture and your movement.
Just joined Goodlife Armadale and I love it! It's a gym where you feel at home, no pretentious gym junkies. I think the facilities/equipment are fine - no complaints from me. LOVE the pool - perfectly clean every day.
This health club is literally falling apart, there's dust everywhere and everythings so old and outdated
This is my home gym and I like it, but it's not perfect. I would love the to fix the buzzing flouro tube in the back stairwell to the men's room, and the door at the top of the stairwell so I can shower and dry off in peace. Little things make a difference, but mostly it's a great gym.
Great location, storied history (Recreation days) and a faithful following. That said, like me, it's well overdue a serious renovation. To compensate, the front desk staff are friendly and personable; and the old school trainers remain as good as ever.
Good location, free parking available, great variety of classes however a lot of the equipment needs upgrading
This place has it all. Well outfitted gym area, including strength, cardio, and floorwork, plus a huge variety and frequency of classes, and sauna, steam room, spa and 20m lap pool.
Get a good offer of membership, and you won't find better value for a gym membership anywhere.
