This a great bicycle shop. I'm looking to subscribe to a service this shop offers for an electric bicycle. I went ahead and booked a test ride. The electric bicycle was phenomenal. Way beyond my expectations. The staff was extremely helpful and was happy to show me the accessories that i wanted to get for the bike. I highly recommend this store to anyone who's looking to get into riding electric or pedal powered bicycles.

Straight up one of Melbourne's hidden treasures. A bike shop about bike culture and less about the dollar.

I've had my Yuba Mundo cargo bike serviced here twice, and both times I wish I'd done it sooner, it feels like a new bike afterwards. My bike was ready the same day, they let me borrow a bike in the meantime. Membership is great value as it included not only the service but parts discounts and an RACV Bike Assist membership too. All this, and supporting a social enterprise!

I recently took my bike in for a service and asked about why my gears seemed to be slipping sometimes. The man who helped me gave me a very helpful lesson in gears without being mainsplainy. It was my first time here but I'm sure I will be a longtime customer now!

A nearby bike shop with a social purpose sounded like a good place to start (pun not intended). But I wasn't sure what to expect. I tried Good Cycles for the first time more than 2 years ago. Since then I've had both road and commuter bikes repaired and serviced here.

Most recently I had serious brake issues on the way to work - years of commuting had finally killed my disk brakes beyond replacing cables and pads. As usual they were friendly and keen to help. Despite being booked up for Around the Bay, Good Cycles lent me a bike while they diagnosed, provided options, quotes, advice, sourced the necessary parts and did the repairs. My bike looks and feels new, my legs not so much.

I also recommend asking about the Good Cycles membership. It helps provide employment opportunity and some options include a free service and discounts.

Really helpful and knowledgeable, thought I needed an expensive new bottom bracket, but they fixed it on the spot for me. Will be definaelty getting my bike service here from now on.

After researching all the bicycle repair shops in the Melbourne CBD, I found Good Cycles and not only do they offer below average pricing, their customer service and mission should be all you need to know to make this your bicycle shop of choice. As someone who has overcome drug addiction myself, they offer people a second chance and teach them skills that will enhance their lives forever. I know firsthand exactly how important people and programs like this are for the people who really do want help to get better; it's everything. I received a standard tune up for my bicycle and they had finished it by the next day and now it rides better than ever. Highly recommend and will return for any of my bicycle needs!
