Good Cycles

I've been riding a single speed for years and decided it was time to for a geared bike more suitable to my current needs and riding style. The guys at Good Cycles were far more approachable, helpful and informative than several other bikes stores I had visited previously throughout Melbourne.

I purchased a Norco gravel bike from Mike just before the last lockdown (July 2021) and he has been so helpful and friendly to deal with. I really appreciate him taking the time to show me around and test ride a few select bikes before arriving at the best choice suited to my cycling needs. Have been really happy with the bike and just taken it in for a tuneup service this week. Again, the followup and after sales care has been superb, very attentive and great at answering all my questions and concerns. The bike came back to me on the same day, very efficient and prompt servicing, with brand new tube and gears all tensioned and ready to hit the trails again.

Good Cycles quickly replaced the pedals on my bike and didn't even charge me for it! They are always willing to help and never charge more than they have to.

I bought a Pro Framebag from this company over 12 months ago. I first used the bag a few weeks ago and the zip broke, I contacted GoodCycles and Mike handled the warranty issue for me, send off the broken bag and they sent me a new one within a week or so. Excellent service, will use again!

I have just moved to the CBD so was looking for a good bike repair shop for my beloved cargo bike, and I'm so glad I came across Good Cycles. Great service, and approachable and friendly staff. They finished my repair super quick and were very thorough. They are also a not-for-profit social enterprise who create jobs for young people at risk, which I just think is wonderful and I'm so happy to support them:)

Came in just now to ask them how to replace the bike seat that I just bought. One of the staff was really helpful. He showed me and helped me without asking for any money. Very friendly service! Thank you so much

Life savers! No job is too big or too small. Not only that, but by using them you contribute to empowering local youth. I have used Good Cycles in Goldsborough Lane several times for all levels of bike maintenance and was always left very satisfied, with valuable parting advice on how to care for my bike. Their mechanics are A+ and take care in dealing with your precious bike. I will continue to support Good Cycles and highly recommend them to anyone.

I was riding in to work and got stuck with a flat/worn tyre and did not have any spare tubes on me. Good Cycles was the closest bike store I could find. When I got there the service was great and they loaned me a bike to get to work as I was in a hurry. Will definitely be going back for any servicing needs.

I was looking for 2 rather obscure items that no other bike shops had. Good Cycles had both items, were very helpful over the phone and I was able to do a contactless pickup within the hour. Will shop here again for sure!

Had my bike serviced at the Goldsbrough Lane shop for the first time and extremely pleased with the result. Service completed within the day and the bike has never been running as smooth, would highly recommend. Mike was a great assistance and provided an honest opinion!

I've been a bicycle mechanic for 11 years and learned to work in Germany. During my trip through Australia, I had the opportunity to work with the great guys from Good Cycles. If you do this job yourself, it is difficult to trust other mechanics. But I would have my bike serviced by the Good Cycles team. Incredible service, professional work, a great social project and always in a good mood. Thank you guys!

Took my bike in for a service and became a member for the community support that they offer. Unpretentious and friendly, a great local bike store in the city.

This freeloader popped into Good Cycles to borrow their pump for my neglected, deflated tyres. The mechanics were nice enough to help me without laughing at my ineptitude. Good eggs ;) PS. I will be back to buy a pump.
