Gong De Lin

If we could give this restaurant 10 stars we would. My partner and I come here a few times a month and it is our favourite restaurant of all time. It is the best vegan food out there, and a great place to grab some quality food for any vegans or omins out there. It is a great place for a cute date, work dinner or a casual night out for a meal. We would come every night if it wasn't a two hour drive from home. There is an extensive menu with delicious food. The food never disappoints and we've tried many of the dishes. The pricing is super affordable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. We could not recommend any restaurant higher. A few of our recommendations would include the Sweet and Sour Pork, the Singapore Style Noodles and the Salt and Pepper Squid. The staff are always very lovely and the atmosphere is wonderfully cosy.

Omg, just the best Chinese I have ever eaten! Staff are very friendly. Tables with the view are very special. Highly recommend.

The best meat substitutes I've had. I'm not a vegan but I still choose to regularly eat here. Everything is really reasonably priced and good portions, the food is tasty and the staff are really great, they have the whole menu to memory and will often remember our favourite dishes from last time.

The best Chinese around! Literally wouldn't know it was vegan. I've taken my meat eating friends and they were blown away too!

Fully vegan menu with huge variety. Fast service and delicious food. Will be back again and again.

Best vegan Chinese there is
Lots of good dishes but highlights for us are the sweet and sour pork, Sichuan beef and lemon chicken.
They prefer cash here but still take care payments

The lift didn't take us to level 3 we arrived at 11: 05AM, pressed level 4, wouldn't let us back down to level 1, then had to take the stairs down and it was really sketchy, please let customers know about this as a note outside the elevator. Thanks!

Awesome little place hidden away! Food is really fresh, tasty and just so so good and! Service is friendly, skilled and really helpful! Would recommend to vegans and omnivores alike.

Lovely service, food & atmosphere. Only small complaint is that our meals had cooled down a bit before they got to us. Otherwise a great experience, I'll definitely be back!

So authentically Chinese. Delicious food. Can’t wait to go back. I wish the portions were a bit larger though. Either way, the food is really good. Can’t really complain too much.

Gong De Lin is my favourite place to eat in Melbourne! The staff is very friendly, their menu is fully vegan, and everything I've tried has been delicious. My friend and I visit whenever we get the chance, and I can't wait to go back!

I came here for Chinese New Year with friends after booking a table, knowing that the place would be packed.

It took forever for someone to take our orders and extra time to finally get it. The portions were small, and out of the three dishes we ordered, only one tasted nice.

We were a large group, so we ordered extra food, which after waiting for 40 min, we had to cancel as it was taking way too long.

I was really looking forward to coming here but had such a bad experience. I don't think I will ever come here, even on regular days.

The food was delicious but we found some sort of grub and its' eggs in our our meal. The waitress just laughed when we told her and we were still required to pay for the meals. We will not be going back and we do not recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The food was lovely, but the service was really really outstanding, some of the best I've experienced in the CBD:)

Absolutely amazing food! Comfy underground/home feel inside as its on level 3 of the building. I reccomend the chicken curry with rice, the fish fillet dish with black fungus mushrooms and the entree with vegan shrimp.

This is a place you can take any non vegetarian/vegan and they will love it.

This place is out of this world.
We were taken here by a local, and we were very impressed.
Service was outstanding, food was impeccable and the restaurant was very clean.
The waitress helped us picked some meals and she was absolutely correct. Every dish came out hot and delicious. And she spoiled me with a scrumptious dessert for my birthday.

Disappointing experience. When I arrived the receptionist was quite rude, but that was ok, i thought. Then, I selected this mushrooms (a29-picture below), and in the first bite i felt it was super spicy - despite there is no chilli symbol next to it in the menu. I was afraid to complain since the staff was not friendly, so I forced myself to eat a bit more with rice and water. Soon i got to the point i couldn't afford it cause my stomach and face was burning. When i tried to tell the staff, they discussed with me and gave a $5ish dollars discount.

I always get Vegan food from this restaurant, curry chicken being my favorite. The receptionist lady is very kind and the restaurant has a real good service. Amazing food must try!

Ordered their special fried rice, but their standard is only acceptable. I also ordered their 2 other dishes, one of the dish is ma po tofu, strange that it tastes a bit sour, but never thought of ma po tofu, has sour taste. Probably that is the standard for dishes selling in Australia. If this standard is in countries like singapore or taiwan, they could be out business soon.
