These people will steal your money, they have the most misleading guides and staff members, do not join, they will make your bank account dry. They might seem like nice people but don’t be fooled, save your money for some other gym.

Hope my physio at progress physiotherapy was amazing. She relieved my pain, identified my issue and worked a plan that works for me. That dosent include have countless physio appointments. Thank you Hope

WORST GYM! Save your money and find another gym.
- customer service is horrible.
- once you sign up and they ask you to put down “friends” that might want to join the gym, best believe they will spam call each individual every single DAY.
- They don’t let you quit the gym. (Stand up for yourself!)
- Do not subscribe to them or they will suck you dry.
- it’s staff over customer (literally no accountability taken from staffs inc manager)
Don’t be fooled guys, If I can give negative stars, I would:)

Signed up for this gym post-lockdown and it was only last year when I really started visiting and using my membership.
Reception staff Polly is very welcoming—always has that smile when clients enter and leave the gym.
Toilet and changing room are clean.
Shower areas also clean.
Alcohol wipes and hand sanitisers are located in multiple areas—love this!
Sauna, spa and pool area are also clean and quiet—good for relaxing the body post-workout.
They have enough equipment available around which is helpful especially during busy periods. I have been with one of their personal trainers and she’s very lovely and easy to work with.
They also have a body scanner which helps you to see and compare results using the app.

Customer care service is horrible. The other day someone called me and ask me that why did I put someone with me in the gym. When I said please check the date and time again as I never put anyone with me, and then they realised it’s their fault and Hangup the phone. Other day I went to the front desk and requested to give me the car parking sticker, they advised they are out of stickers. Asked if there any other options to help me, they advised park some other place and walk to gym but not the gym parking area. Clearly it’s a rough way to handle customers. Not to Genesys anymore or refer anyone

I've found the coaching zone program to be highly effective. Some of the senior coaches are really good and will teach you the right technique etc.

Don’t recommend, they try and manipulate you into these programs to pay more. 6 week challenges and things like this. Then they don’t let you cancel and charge you ridiculous amounts for extras you don’t even use. Dodgey as and sneaky.

Lovely friendly staff, great gym full of all the equipment you could need. The pool and spa are definitely my favourite and the aqua zumba class is good value for my money.

THIS GYM WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY
Tried to cancel my membership at the minimum term following all the steps in the contract. Was told on the phone it will be taken care of and then rudely hung up on. After getting charged a week after the minimum term ended I called again and was told they will fix it. After getting charged a second time I called and was told the cancellation request was never put through and it had to be sent to the cancellation team at the THIRD PARTY company that takes your money. Was basically told it was my fault for not knowing this. Still have not received the refund I was promised.

I originally sent in my details to redeem a 5 day free trial. Before I know it, I’m in the club getting pressured into a membership with no mention of a free trial. They pressure you with all these seemingly great deals and are so focused on a potential sale that gives you little to no wiggle room to check out their highly unethical membership contract that has you in a contract with not only the gym but also a direct debit company that is ongoing beyond your membership period unless you tick a box. The box was not visual on my devices. I end up leaving without becoming a member (thank goodness).

I’m then contacted by them again but as soon as I mention the free trial there is always an excuse… oh we can’t do that on sunday, we have another promotion so the free trial isn’t valid, you can’t try out the group classes.

A few days later, I’m on the phone to another staff member in hope to get access to the free trial through her. She told me they can give me a 1 day pass where I responded “isn’t that false advertising, then? ” Her reply was that, “… yeah, well that’s just how we do things here”.

I encourage others to go support businesses that allow you to try before you buy and aren’t money hungry and unethical.

Not just the physio, also educating me towards handling my injuries and health I would highly recommend hope to any one

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!
I attended the club yesterday on it's so called "open day" as I was keen to get back into going to the gym and thought I would try my old club again and potentially sign up if I liked it. I was told by the manager Brad I could not try the gym as I've been a member in the past and I would have to sign up for a membership with a 7 day cooling off period. Appalling customer service and flase advertising. Their "Open day" advertisement clearly says "past members are welcome to join the fun too". The place has clearly gone down hill since management changed. Way too money hungry. I'm not surprised it looked awfully quite on their open day and during what used to be considered peak time. Please do yourself a favour and do not join this gym. There are much better gyms around Ringwood that will actually let you try before you buy, rather than just try to scam you into a contract immediately.

Plenty of equipment, don't have to stand around waiting for machines to be free.
Membership includes access to various group classes like Yoga, Pilates, Zumba and many more, which is fantastic.
Open 24/7, which helps.
For the cons, Personal Training is very expensive.
Some classes have to be booked in advance they fill out very quickly.
Some of the cardio machines are old and you can spot rust.

I was a member of Ringwood Genesis for 9 years until the start of 2022. It’s a fantastic club for your own gym workouts, with a good variety of modern equipment.
They have some amazing group fitness instructors too including Lauren & Anna! ️

Polly & a few others are exceptional receptionists with high customer service skills. I never felt very welcomed upon entering with two of the male staff members on the reception. I always felt it was an effort for them to acknowledge me entering or leaving!
They were never welcoming or friendly towards me, including when tidying up equipment on the gym floor.
Very disappointed after being a long term member the service declined with newer staff!

Group fitness classes have changed lots over the years. Unfortunately quite a few of my favourite classes are no longer available at this club. Boxing classes were never the same after lockdowns & it was the last gym in the area to bring boxing classes back for some unknown reason. ‍️
I enquired about using the Wantirna Genesis too & couldn’t because they only allow members to train at one club!

Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this club anymore.

Worst gym and customer service in the area. Avoid!

Reply - Wrong, I requested my membership be cancelled, I'm not going to pay money to a gym that treats members unequally. Secondly, why wasn't the mask rule enforced for every member? There was a guy talking to your customer service staff without a mask on when I entered the gym. Not only did he swear at me multiple times but he threatened me and tried to intimate me. Thirdly, that wack job at customer service swore at me several times. That's some great staff you have there mate. Real professional that she stormed off because she had to compose herself. She's mentally unstable. But I give you credit for hiring someone with a mental disorder. Well done.
And no I'm not upset at all. More than happy to hand over my money elsewhere.
As for you 'Josh', how about grow a pair and return my call or email instead of hiding behind your keyboard.

Rude and unhelpful manager. Put me off so much that I'd rather put up with Eastland parking to go to GoodLife. (GoodLife are fantastic though!).

I don’t usually write reviews but I am at the point now where I am beyond frustrated.
I have written to cancel my memberships almost 2 months ago now and it still has not been cancelled!
I have moved states and can not use the gym yet I am still being charged, I have followed up via email every week for the past 4 weeks and have not received a response and I am still getting charged, can someone get back to me about this ASAP? !? ! I prefer to be communicated with via email and not phone due to my work hours.
