Gardenview Lodge Motel reviews
60Budget Room accommodation. Clean and tidy, strong smell of deodorising inside, no eating utensils, so had to go out to buy plates and cutlery.
Budget room was a bit dated but was very clean and I noticed they were renovating them, the staff were very helpful and accommodating and very prompt with responses to queries.
Would stay again
Thanks
Stayed in villa at the back. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the breakfast had a good choice of cereals and jams for the toast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again
Good value for money. Our cabin had a kitchenette and a front balcony. Nice bedroom and airconditioned. Very clean.
Stayed in "villa" (a type of demountable) #6. It was very clean.
A comfortable bed with an overhead fan. It's kitchen was well appointed.
It was clean and tidy BUT no extra pillows, blankets or no face washes available. Bathroom was pink and soooo out dated and shower was tiny it makes me wonder how anyone can get in it. If it were mine I would get rid of the motel part and add more on site cabins that looked better OR downside the rooms and renovate two room into one so more room to move. Limited TV and very small as well.
Last night after 9.30pm received a text from the owner calling me a ignorant git and signed Gardenview Lodge. After trying to text and call to question the txt my number was blocked. I had to ring from a pay phone when the owner answered, when I asked for an explanation he hung up the phone. Judging from the ratings on Wotif the owner is unable to take constructive criticism. How unprofessional for a business to send texts of this context to people.
Nice room. The service was great they were both very friendly. Good variety of food for breakfast.
Incredible! Myself and some friends of mine were in Wangaratta for school and were supposed to leave but could due to flooding.
The staff at Garden View were so accommodating and allowed us to stay an extra night for a very good price!
Absolutely would stay again!
Floor boards creaked, I could hear people moving about in neighbouring rooms. Shower tiling was cracked in several places.terrified that they were going to drop off at any moment and smash at my feet. Bed was rock hard. Only good thing was that they had, what I assumed was, cold bottles of water and 150ml of UHT milk in the fridge. Thank goodness it was just 1 night!
Stayed here as it was the cheapest place we could find, and just staying one night. Should have paid the extra to stay in a nicer place, and it would likely have been in a better location. It's a long way from town, and the place is quite run down. Very old, bathroom had ants, though the bed was comfortable enough and the aircon worked.
Cute little motor inn. Would probably book the bigger cabins though, as the others are very small and probably a bit on the old side. But I stayed in the bigger one and it was really nice.
Mum and I were booked for a 1 bedroom unit, when we arrived there we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom cabin to which we ever so grateful. It was very clean and very well suited. Complimentary continental breakfast was easy accessible. Thank you for your friendly service. Will definitely be back.
A nice change from your typical motel/hotel room. Two bedrooms and an extremely comfortable double or king size bed. Best nights sleep in ages. TV in the master bedroom and one in the comfortable living are.
Just a pity there were internet issues. Works in some places and not in our cabin. Been assured that the problem is being sorted out.
Would heartily recommend this place for a night or a week.
Overnight stay travelling with twin toddlers. We arrived later than planned, as anyone who has travelled with kids can understand, and they were more than accommodating with a late check in. We used our own portacots, and squeezed them into a queen room, which they were ok with. And to top it all off breakfast was provided! Although there was only one highchair, but we just grabbed one of our portable ones. Lovely, pleasant stay. One night wasnt enough.
Nice quiet motel about 5 mins from town centre.
We stayed in a twin room. Nothing flashy but perfect for an overnight stay. Only con the shower is a bit squeezy. The continental breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Would stay again.
Loved the villa. Pretty self sufficient and well maintained. The only complaint i had was with the cooling, the day was pretty hot and it took a long time for the villa to cool down. But the staff was helpful and friendly.
We loved this place. The reception staff could not do enough for us. A very personal service. We were rung before we arrived to ensure we experienced no difficulties with key pick up. As it was a slow night we were upgraded from a room to a villa. What a wonderful night and then breakfast was thrown in on top.
My husband and I could not recommend this motel enough. Clean, quiet and very friendly.
Convenient location to CSU facilities, breakfast included, rooms upgraded since last time I was here, now have microwaves in rooms which is really convenient, friendly staff, easy to book, will be staying here in future.
Motel rooms are very dated. Bathrooms in need of an overhaul. Maybe try the newer looking cabins.
