Gardenview Lodge Motel

Good value. Weeknight stay special price in the motel double room $90 included breakfast in the 1950s common room. There is terrific original features. Please don't expect anything fancy in this room its shabby to some but I loved the memories. The bathroom is pretty run down but the water is hot and all linen fresh and clean. I stayed at the Gardenview Lodge for 4 nights, I had a studio villa and I was very happy with it. Check in was super easy and I was greeted by a lovely lady on the front desk. Room was cleaned very well, the only downside was that the mattress did leave a bit to be desired after 4 nights, but was completely fine for a night or two. Aircon was amazing as it was bloody hot the days I stayed, whipped it on for all of 10 minutes and it had cooled the room to a much nicer temperature. Kitchen was great, spacious and yet not too big that it took space away from the rest of the room. Mini Fridge was good but freezer was broken which was a little annoying. The bathroom was very clean and had plenty of lighting, toilet was clean, however, the shower pressure did leave a bit to be desired and with only having a rain head it was a little annoying if you didn't want to get your hair wet but with a quick tilt of the rain head you could angle it to mitigate this. My only big issue was that there was a decent sized spider in the top corner inside near the doors, but I was able to re-enact my terminator movie scene with a handy bottle of fly-spray that they give you under the sink.
All in all, for the price of the room I was very happy with my stay. Thanks:)

Room cleanliness: clean. However high traffic wear on cabin paint, could easily be overlooked, needs a simple deep clean and magic eraser/paint touch up. Couch has wear and tear staining, could use a good upholstery cleaning. Perfect sized cabin.

Bed: the absolute letdown. To have a semi comforable bed would be nice, however this was by far the worst mattress I have slept on in a long time. For the price iam not expecting the plush yet firm mattress form a 5 star hotel, but iam atleast expecting to be able to have an ok nights sleep. Kmart Mattress heater still over mattress not assisting in the uncomfortable nature of the bed, it's summer, these should definitely not be on the bed. And removed for cleaning and storage. A possible solution would be a thick mattress topper.for the night i personally slept on the small 2 seater couch.

I know an understand with the past 2 years of covid, the travel and tourism industry has been hit hard, however when you are in the business of accomodation, customers having a good nights sleep should be of high importance.

Great stop over spot. Cabins were modern and clean, spacious too. Nice pool and the breakfast that was included was great - they even had gluten free options! Great service and great holiday park. Thank you

Good price for "standard" accomodation breakfast is supplied. There is a pub (pokies venue) 1k5 km down the side road kitchen closes 9pm. Food is typical pub grub.

Lovely cabin room. Spotlessly clean on arrival. Warm, friendly and welcoming staff on arrival. Fantastic breakfast room. Very comfortable bed, double shower. Beautiful garden setting. Quiet neighbourhood on outskirts of town. Great location & no noisy neighbours

Our initial reaction when we checked-in (which was very easy) was wow but ever sine we settled-in the disappointment started stepping in

First the positive of Executive Villa: Clean, easy to access, good location and decent morning tea /coffee with breads butter jam, cornflakes, muesli including gluten-free option for a simple breakfast.
Bathroom with heaters

Minuses:
Just one heater/aircon in the living-room leaving two bedroom extremely cold.
Broken door of the main bedroom.
Barely a room as second bedroom
Room service extremely questionable. The next morning we requested replacing towels. Were told they will. When we returned we there weren't any. That's when we went to the reception and the lady started arguing that instead of requesting replacement for bath towel we requested that for 'do.not disturb, no room service". This was a put off. Don't put words.in our mouth lady!

For the price we paid, wasn't worth the experience.

Beautiful - absolutely cannot fault it. The staff were lovely, hospitable, the area safe. The accessibility great. The warmth, the cleanliness, the shower, breakfast options, in room options. All so so lovely, thank you for taking us last night very last minute after a 7 hour drive. Thank you!

A cute little cottage, plenty of room. Could've been cleaned better, windows look like they were cleaned by a child.

Absolutely loved this place. The friendliness from the start of booking in was so welcoming. Accommodation was lovely and clean, the whole park in general was very well kept. We only stayed the one night this trip but will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. Thank you Grandview it was lovely.

Excellent a lovely setting for the rooms, it was clean and tidy the bed was very comfortable. I chose the lower price room and it was great value for money.

Not good. The guy that owns the property is not good he turned the power off before 10: 00am when I was charging my phone.

Outright pleasure stay without a hasel quiet and peaceful sourandings with stay again if needed but as off needed last time was booked out but a must do and try too stay again well looked after and a must do and a must stay absolutely adorable

Great place to stay, cabins are new and fresh close to everything and very quiet, easy to find just off the hwy. We will stay again if we are over that way again.

Have stayed twice now and will again, Greg and team are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, tiny and they have everything one needs. Bed is comfy and I love the electric blankets on the bed with fresh white sheets. Keep up the good work

Very clean, friendly staff, quiet, value for money, free continental breakfast in the restaurant. Pool, big lawn area. Spread out rooms. Parking for bigger vehicles. Would stay again. Recommended.

Nice place, but boy some of the replies to other reviews by the owner here would make me think twice.

Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Especially loved sitting on our small balcony as the sun set.
