Gami Chicken & Beer

One of the more cosy/smaller Gamis I have been to. That being said service was excellent and the food the same. We had the potato heaven and the Corndue with extra friend chicken. This was over enough for 3 people along side some Soju of course. It would be wise to book ahead as the line was a little long when we arrived. Luckily we had a booking

Great service and dining atmosphere. Delicious and tender chicken and the soy garlic sauce is very tasty! Highly recommend.

This is the superior Gami branch. Come here for great grub and booze to enjoy with mates.

We got their big chicken big heart. It was a 1.2 Kg boneless fried chicken accompanied with all of their sauces on the side. It also comes with fries, fried tteokbokki, and mozzarella sticks. The chicken was really moist and crispy. I wished we had more of the spicy sauce. I didn’t really like the sweeter ones. I really liked the dried tteok too it was so good!

We also ordered some soju with the chicken great combo. Highly recommend visiting this branch while we still have Melb money.

Enjoying dinner with friends before my operation next day. I want something hot and crispy and cheesy, and Gami is the place. Talk about KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) Finger cheesy good.

Super friendly and great food. Night before lockdown there were no drivers to deliver our order. They were super nice and understanding on the phone. Ended up re-making our order straight away from scratch to allow for an easy pick up. Thank you!

Was enjoying food with friends, food is good. Just wanted to share some opinion here. As I owned few restaurants and cafe, I know how’s the feeling and stress to train a staff. But I strongly disagree how’s the manager/boss/leader is having a wrong time to train a staff. Me and my friend heard the conversations and felt the vibe, we felt extremely awkward and uncomfortable. We just wanted to finish our food and leave as soon as we can….

Ordered Gami Wings 12 pieces, wish they even amount wingettes/ flats and drumsticks in their serve. Only get 2 wingettes in my order, a bit disappointed.
Flavour is ok, still hot when we got the order.

The only reason I gave a star is because I can’t leave a review without it. Food is great yes. But man did the service suck! Out of the two girls working in the restaurant in the evening on 1/07/21 l, one was extremely rude to say the least. Imagine hearing “you can’t sit there” instead of that table is reserved or whatever. The tables were sticky so requested to have them wiped and the girl goes “yeah I’ll do that but did you check in”? I mean what in the name of customer services was that? Well ruined our moods and experience. We love Gami but couldn’t finish the food and left mid dining due to the pathetic service standards.
So wanted to go back in and ask her name but couldn’t be bothered to make the effort even. What a nightmare of an experience and money wasted.

I have ordered Doordash Delivery, and now I feel my money was wasted, I am so upset. Chicken was very tough, dry, and was not really tasty as before. Maybe the chicken was re-heated, otherwise they are just not interested in flavour anymore. Gami lost an old customer today, who has been a fan for a few years. Never gonna eat here again.

Initially asked for a place here but the waitress said there wasn’t any as they were limiting entry due to Covid. I told her we’re willing to wait or come back later but she refused. Anyway a table cleared up outside 2 min later so they cleared the space for us there and we ordered. We waited for an hour outside and our food still had not been served. I went in to ask and apparently our order didn’t go through. I asked if we could order again as we were EXTREMELY hungry at this point and did not care if we had to wait a bit longer but she told us that the dish we wanted can’t be served outside. We asked if she could make some space for us inside now cause we’ve legit been waiting in the cold for an hour and came specifically to try that dish but she refused. We left after that, did not appreciate her attitude at all. Anyway used to love this place but sadly will never be coming here again after such a terrible experience. Your food is good but your staff needs to be more accommodating to customers.

Order items missing and the very little food in comparison to what we usually receive in these branches

Food was poor. Chicken wasn't cooked well and was smelly. The sauce sweet chilli sauce tasted like ginger. We didn't finish the food but I hope the quality gets better again one day because I liked it there

We were unable to order anything from this branch. They don’t have the full menu. They were not selling stir fried chicken. They told us if we want to order anything except for the burger we have to go to the other branch on little Lonsdale street. That was a 15 min walk from this location. They should have mentioned this information on the website. It was a bit upsetting for us.

A very popular choice for fried chicken in Melbourne, and on a day that we didn’t feel like having healthy food, we decided to give it a try.

We ordered the Boneless Chicken - mix of breast & thigh fillet, in soy garlic coating, with sweet chili sauce on the side; in addition to Gami Wings (8pcs) - Mixed of chicken wingettes & drumettes, in spicy coating. All fried chicken comes with a cabbage coleslaw & pickled radish.

The chicken was nice & crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. Loved the spicy coating, but not the soy garlic. Sweet chili sauce was nice.

They have two beers on tap, so we opted for their exclusive beer - Gun: Bae Lager (4.5%). It's perfect with the crispy fried chicken!

Loved the experience but considering that the food was on the unhealthy spectrum, it’s not the ideal choice for repeated visits. Not that it’s not yummy, oh their fried chicken is probably the best I’ve had for a while.but it is just deeply fried and not something I’ll eat all the time!

This should be your cheat day kind of place.

Food is awesome but customer service in this branch is big nahhhh.so rude! Never ever visit this branch again. Better to dine-in at 100 Little Lonsdale.

Don't get the chips, they changed suppliers 3 weeks ago and the chips are gross. They are hard in the middle, really average.

The food was really amazing. But the front staff was really rude and was even nt happy to talk. 3 stars for the food only.cheers

Fried chicken is consistent as per usual and I have been here many times. However the service was very poor last night. We ordered another jug of beer and it was brought to our table. Then 5 minutes later they told us we had only another 10 minutes to vacate the table. If we had known this we would not have ordered or the waitress should have told us. When it came to pay the bill; we were sorting the bill out and was told rudely that they don't split bills. It wasn't something we were looking to do anyway. Very poor service and rude staff.
