Gami Chicken & Beer

Having eating fried rice before at a different location i wanted to try it again.but here it was overcooked, i could taste the char off the pan and it had no flavour.also dont think the potato haven was mixed properly had a clump of salt in my bite.

Dont order delivery. I order tteokbokki, but they do not provide the lids for bowl with full of sauce. Of course the food and the sauce would spill!

The fried chicken was not good. The chicken had no flavour except for old oil. It was also extremely oily. The sweet mustard sauce was good, as was the corn cheese. Very disappointing.

Finally made it to the restaurant as we have only ordered fried chicken in the past which was always spot on.
I was a bit surprised how long it took for our food to arrive, especially the place wasn’t full (a lot of delivery orders tho)
We ordered:

Chicken Corndue arrived after 37min
Cheese tasted a little flat and the fact that the cheese arrived 5min later than the chicken, didn’t make it better as the chicken wings were cold then. Also, I wish they would serve a couple of chicken tenders instead of a few chicken wings.

Japchae mandu very crispy and nicely flavoured outside but the filling tasted blunt. Arrived after 45 min.

Crispy chicken burger my personal highlight but took almost an hour to get served.
Loved the fact that the chicken was super hot and crispy and the coleslaw came fresh out of the fridge.

Service could have been a little more attentive but was for kind and helpful.
Four stars only because I know their boneless chicken is one the best…

Food was well made and arrived at the table in good intervals.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.

This place used to be very good but it has clearly gone down the hill and today’s meal was a complete disappointment! The potato haven was undercooked, tasted terrible and had some tomato sauce all over it! The chicken was also very average so we won’t be returning…

Order cancelled after 45 minutes of being prepared? ! Couldn't even call to ask if I can pick it up myself cause the phone line is down. Hangry.

My go to place when craving fried chicken. I always order the half-half whole chicken (garlic and spicy). The soy garlic is the bomb, a little bit sweet with pleasant garlicky fragrance. The spicy one is not too spicy.

I often disappointed with the quality of chicken in Melbourne, even at K**. But this place serves the freshest great quality of chicken.

Irresistible chicken, my absolute favourite. My go to for special occasions.
I only wish there was more seating available!

Even for chain KFC places this was not great. More batter than chicken and super small pieces at that. Nene chicken is better if you want a chain store otherwise there are many better options in the CBD.

Finally got to try the cheese chicken at Gami! I like how they serve and present the food, but I personally think they could have had a better selection of Korean fried chicken.

My favourite chicken and beer restaurant. Tried out new menu for boneless chicken and wrapped. It was okay, I'd prefer the whole fried chicken or wings. My only disappointed dish is Tteokbokki, it was tasteless. I won't order it next time!

Ordered spicy chicken wings, spicy chicken fired rice. Tasted good, but would like it more spicy when it said spicy. And also some salt and pepper on the table would be nice for someone who prefers. Quantity and quality and prices are reasonable. Service is very good too.

The stars honestly go to the Potato Heaven dish, it was so tasty and so satisfying. The service was also great, and when we ordered cocktails we were allowed to shake our own drinks, so it was a very friendly and interactive experience.

Recommended by a friend. Honestly, the best chicken I've ever had. Their spicy sauce is legendary. Its fried, really juicy from the inside and the spicy sauce its covered in is amazing. 100x better than kfc or any fried chicken in Melbourne.

The food is ok however the floor is so slippery anybody can fall and get hurt. Not sure if they clean the floor properly as it is so greasy. A bit dangerous if u decide to drink soju at this place

Ordered online for pick up and they forgot our order. What is the point of ordering online if the order isn't going to be ready for pickup

A trendy choice for fried chicken in Melbourne. We decided to come when we didn't feel like having healthy food.

We ordered the Boneless Chicken - a mix of breast & thigh fillet, in soy garlic coating, with sweet chilli sauce on the side; in addition to Gami Wings (8pcs) - Mixed of chicken wingettes & drumettes, in spicy coating. All fried chicken comes with a cabbage coleslaw & pickled radish.

The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Loved the spicy coating, but not the soy garlic. The sweet chilli sauce was lovely.

They have two beers on tap, so we opted for their exclusive beer - Gun: Bae Lager (4.5%). It's perfect with the crispy fried chicken!

Loved the experience but considering that the food was unhealthy, it's not the ideal choice for repeated visits. Not that it's not yummy, oh their fried chicken is probably the best I've had for a while. But it is just deeply fried and not something I'll eat all the time!

This should be your cheat day kind of place.

One of my top favorite spots for Korean fried chicken. I decided to try something new and try the corndu and it was pretty good. Still prefer the traditional items but this was fun to mix it up with
