Funtopia Indoor Climbing & Playcentre - Maribyrnong

A fun place for the kids, with massive slides and air guns that shoot soft balls, though the air guns don't seem to work that well. There is a separate toddler section, and plenty of climbing for older kids. There is also a cafe but is a bit pricey.

It is one of the best place to Visit With Kids, lots Of fun For Kids, and Same time Parents And adult can Enjoy the cafeteria.

Hey I just want to say thank you so much for today, it was our first there for a friends birthday Cyrus my kids loved it, I also want to say an huge thank you to the girls at the counter making the coffees I’m a barista myself so I know the amount of pressure and backlog of coffees, the service was great as the girls came out with the drinks and if it got forgotten they chased it up. Please keep at it as each and every one of the girls there had a smile even when some customers wanted to do the old rolling of the eyes.

After seeing all the photos was soo excited to go but the reality was very disappointing. After half an hour the kids were done and ready to go. Disappointed kids when only 1 out of 4 ball shooters was actually working. Will check out the other locations till we find the one where the photos were actually taken. Also think it needs to be made clearer that the ride ons are not included in admission costs. Very expensive for what it is. It was however very clean which was nice to see.

Highly recommend. My kids had great fun today and very good service provided.we will come back soon.

Really questioning the cleanliness of this place. Smells really bad like off feet and dirty floors.

It's a great play centre however down the back it's it gets so hot on just a normal 22 degree day

I had my son’s first birthday party this past weekend at Funtopia - we hired out the whole venue for the night. The manager Sam was so helpful leading up to the event and communicated with me afterwards to see how we went. All the guests - babies, kids and adults had something fun to do. Their rock climbing area was a party favourite. The staff were amazing on the night and the food wa delicious. Highly recommend!

Super crowded but my kids loved it! The place is big with so many areas to explore. The climbing area was awesome too! Staff were great. Definitely plan on returning!

Today I took my 2 granddaughters to Funtopia (pre-booked) and I have found there are approximately 7 climbing walls out of service representing about 25% of the walls not being available. According to the local management the out of service sections are due to safety issues. While I have no problem with with decision to implement the safety initiative it is extremely disappointing that when I booked there was no notice of the reduced service or even some nominal discount for not providing the full faculty. The manager was extremely uncooperative and displayed no appreciation of the problem. Another example I am afraid of corporate greed.

Play centre was ok. Ordered Ham and Cheese Toastie and Banana bread. Toastie was soggy, and given i waited 30min there was no excuse for it not to be cooked. The banana bread was supposed to be toasted but was cold when I received it. Disappointing.

Don't let your kids get onto this slide without helmets. Surprisingly they don't use any safety harness or any other protection on this slide. Everything else is fine and it is a good place to organize your kids parties.

Great for older kids, not for toddlers, toddler area is so limited, purely disappointing, no one restricting older kids in the toddler area as well, no air machines with balls to play around, as I have been to other Funtopia and it was a well balanced target age group, this is not, most space is taken up by rock climbing, which I think is really good only for ages 5 and above. Can come back when my kid gets older, but not soon.

Great place to take the kids. Large area for the kids to play and lots of tables to sit, but does fill.

Reply to owner's comment - Visited here in March.you can check your records. Overall experience was ok, limited options for little ones. And the red slide in the play area was too steep for toddlers and my little one almost injured himself.

Not the greatest when it comes to food ordering. Our order was missed even though we had to repeat ourselves a couple times during ordering (that probably was the red flag). That said, the staff was brilliant (including the staff we ordered from). Very friendly and helpful. The place was extremely busy and fully packed. The obstacle playground was smaller than most play centres we have been to, but the kids don't seem to notice. No large slides due to its size, but the kids still had a blast. The climbing playground is what sets this play centre apart from others. Kids that appear as young as 4 were climbing like champions (not exactly sure if I would have been brave enough). Staff were constantly monitoring the climbs and assisting. If you are looking for a different experience for the lil ones, this is definitely a place to consider.

Tried calling several times before going, website says 5pm closing got there at 3.30pm to find out they we're planning to close at 4pm. Thankfully they charged less for this inconvenience. The music was extremely loud, not suitable when your children are attempting to talk from the play gym or you're trying to call out when you can't see a child. (Understandable when busy gets quite loud with children, but there were only 3-5 families, with mainly toddlers, it doesn't need to feel like you're at a nightclub!)
Place was clean and exciting for the children anyway.
