Fukutontei Ramen Greensborough reviews
59The food is ok, but the waitstaff seems rude, IMO. I ordered ramen, and it wasn’t the best or the worst. I’d give the place four stars, but the waitstaff lost them a star. It’s like she was avoiding eye contact the entire time. When delivering the food and taking away the dish. The manager behind the counter was friendly but whoever they have serving the customers needs a gentle reminder of how important it is to be friendly. I’m talking 10% happier would have made a difference.
My favourite small restaurant in Greenborough shopping centre. Authentic taste, I always order tamago onsen that can’t get from many restaurants in Melbourne. Teriyaki don and cold soba were really nice. Fried rice is superb. Well done guys.
Delicious ramen! The volcano sauce is incredible (very spicy though, not for the faint of heart. 1 was enough for both of us and we love chilli) and the gyoza was perfect.
Will have to come in and experience everything fresh from the kitchen. Looking forward to the experience
First one out of the chain tried. Didn’t disappoint. Mind blown and moist because of the top tier feed
Best ramen in the area. The staff are so kind and cute with our children, even playing with them throughout the course of the meal at times! As an exhausted parent, I am extremely grateful for this kind of service, it is massively helpful. And yeah the food is excellent, very high quality ramen, and the rice dishes are large and yum. Keep it up gang!
This is my most favorite Japanese restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. I dream of their Raman on the days I am not there.
Good food, very bad waiting time and the chef can't do multiple dishes at once. Wait 30_45 mins to get food came.but food is good.
The young waitress was in a bad mood. She gave us less than a minute to look at the menu before asking impatiently if we were ready. She told us the food would take 30 minutes. When we came back after 30 minutes only one dish was ready. The waitress said 2 more minutes. Wait outside. We waited for about 15 minutes, watching box after box of noodles get packed in bags and meals served. We watched the waitress use her table sponge wipe to flick what looked like rice from the serving area to the floor. She would put down the wipe and put lids on noodle boxes, put them in plastic bags, and then take dishes of food to diners. We walked to the serving counter to get attention. Our first dish was getting cold. One minute she said. A little later our noodles were put in a box and a plastic bag. She put the bag on a pile of menus, stared at us, then went out to the tables. It was a strange, unfriendly performance. She didn’t seem to care about us at all. It is a short drive home. The rice was cold and the fish was cold. In future we will go to the Japanese restaurants in Main St for some smiles, polite behaviour and warm food.
I was a bit skeptical given some bad reviews but everything was perfect! The ramen was really nice and tasted like authentic Japanese. The price was reasonable, not too expensive for what you get.
Food average but we died of hunger while waiting for it. 4 meals took 50 minutes before the first one and then another 45 minutes for the rest to come out. We all ate separately! It wasn't that busy either.
Must try Veg ramen and spring rolls.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Such a friendly staff!
Quiet restaurant, polite and respectful staff member, tasty vegetarian and high protein Tofu Shoyu Ramen. Cheers:)
I question the legitimacy of some of these ratings. Service is shocking, half the menu isn’t “available” and when you do get some food, you’ll find more meat in a six pack of McDonald nuggets, the rice is barely warm, any curry or sauce is marginal.it’s a real shame this place is trading after everything.
Rude service. We asked nicely if they have table (the restaurant was busy) and she straight away ask us do we have reservations in a rude manner and tell us that "we cannot serve you! " We understand if they are busy and need booking, but we don't understand why the service has to be so rude and unhappy about us coming. Train your staff how to talk to potential customers!
Really bad service.
I was waiting nearly two hours. Order 1.15pm, get the cold meal 3pm.
The staff told me, she could not find my phone number to let me know. But I am sure I leave the phone number.
When I called, the staff feel no sorry, ridiculous told me late because no driver.
Great selection of food and drinks! Would get 5 star had it been a closed off restaurant, otherwise almost perfect!
Took and hour and half to be delivered. When phoned the restaurant they claimed the delivery driver picked up over half an hour beforehand. Could not have been the case, the food was still fairly warm when it finally arrived.
Food very average. Soggy and gluggy. Will not go back.
We were excited to dine here, the menu looked great. But the staff were rude, the ramen was too salty and the charcoal beef is fatty. The wait is also too long. Would spend my money elsewhere
I actually really like this place and its food
ive tried a bunch of other ramen places even ones reviewed better and this is way better
