Disappointing experience with low quality ingredients/meat. Ordered the gnocchi with pulled lamb - no pulled lamb in sight, however chewy lamb meat chunks? We used to order this a lot and it was great, not sure what happened tonight. It used to be good, sad to see quality and service drop so drastically.

We have only lived in the area for 6 months and stumbled on this place on a walk one morning. We ordered Hot Chocolates and coffees and were really pleased with them.so decided to try the dine in menu the weekend after. Since then we have tried to come back at least once a month, for either breakfast or dinner and are always happy with the quality of food and especially the service. The wait staff are always friendly and helpful and always rememberus from previous visits. We have never had anything but positive experiences at Freddies and even though we will be moving out of the area again soon, will always make the time to come back to eat here. Just a great local restaurant that we are so very glad we found!

Had a great breakfast today. The Mexican Chilli scrambled eggs were terrific.

Have been going to Freddie's for a very long time and he has continued to keep up and above industry standards, always presenting the best fresh food in Carrum. Great environment for family, couples, singles. Great prices and service is always with a smile highly recommend.

Terrible service. Waited 20 minutes at our table for some service. Didn’t get any, so we left and grabbed a coffee on the way out. That ended up being just milk. Won’t be going back.

Food is always great here, been my favourite restaurant for the last 6 years. However, they're really starting to lose their way. Every birthday we come up for dinner here. We had a surprise 25th bday for my partner a few years ago, and was absolutely amazing. In Feb this year we enquired about having our engagement party at freddies, they responded a few days later saying they would get back to us with some more details in a week's time and asked us to leave them details of numbers etc. We then organised a time and date for a chat over the phone. 10 days after the initial email, we then received the phone call on the organised day and were told they had another function booked on the night, with the phone call lasting all of 30 seconds. Now why we couldn't have been told a couple of days after the initial phone call and emails were exchanged is beyond me. To be made to wait 10+ days is fine, that's their prerogative, but to wait all that time just to say they have already been booked out is an absolute joke. It's not hard to check a book and say we're actually booked out on that night, instead of leading us on to think we were going to get the booking, as we've been asked for more details and a telephone meeting. And to rub salt in the wound, we went for dinner on my bday in Feb and ordered a freddies t shirt and were told they had to get them made up, we were never notified when they'd come in, so I phoned them up 5 weeks later and they said to come in and grab it. I went in yesterday to pick it up and my t shirt was also wrong, wrong size and there was 2 of them. I love the joint and the food, but they've lost us. Hopefully they pick up their act so they don't lose anyone else.

The BEST Italian & pizza in the Bonbeach/Chelsea/Carrum area! Don't skip on their cheese & garlic pizza, it's a treat! Dine in is great, or take away. Great food every time!

Really enjoyed our dinner at Freddie's kitchen. Food was really nice. The aesthetics and vibe were good too. Food was pretty standard in terms of price but certainly not cheap. Would recommend coming here!

Great Cafe in Carrum, went there for breakfast and ordered the Belly Benedict (Poached Eggs on Pork Belly), was absolutley delicious, the service was excellent, would have given them a 5* rating if the hash browns were potato rostis as mentioned in the menu.

The service was brilliant, ambience was excellent & the pasta was absolutely delicious!
We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing! Visited for the first time last night for my partners birthday. Staff were super friendly and the meal was absolutely amazing! I had the mushroom gnocchi and it was by far the best I've ever had.

Can't wait to go back!

Amazing breakfast, with great service and a smile. Water bowl for my dog brought to the table. Presentation of the food like a Michelin Restaurant.
Menu choices were brilliant.

Fantastic venue. Freddie, Austin and the team are very friendly, food is fantastic (especially the mushroom gnocchi) and atmosphere dining in is very comfortable. Highly recommend!
