I went just before closing. The coffee was quite acceptable - certainly better than you'd expect in France The pain au chocolat was good - nothing like the poor excuse that is usually available in Australia. The soundtrack to my coffee was a selection of French popular music that suited the vibe of the café.

The refined elegance of Franco-Belge perfectly reflects the presentation of this restaurant's signature dishes. The great classics of French and Belgian cuisine are executed to a high standard and presented with modern Gallic flair.

There is a wide choice of imported and local wines, beers and spirits to complete the dining experience.

A suggestion by a regular patron to try the degustation menu is something I look forward to doing.

If you liked the food at the old Belgian Beer Cafe on St Kilda Road, you will love it here. Wonderful menu including bouillabaisse, escargot, french onion soup, eye fillet steak and of course - mussels with fries! Very friendly service, excellent selection of imported beers and wine, classy restaurant, and reasonable prices. We'll be back again and again!
