Nice Strong coffees, beautiful space. Longish space with courtyard at the back. Matcha choc cookie was nice but just a bit dry. Decent service too.

NOTHING FRESH ABOUT THIS PLACE.
Food, tastless, processed, bland, overpriced, frozen
Coffees, burnt with burnt milk.
Wait staff, clueless, untrained, uninviting, inexperienced, rude, cold.
If they focused on the diners and noton facebook then that would be a start

The coffee is good ambience lively but how arrogant to serve cold toast and charge you for Vegemite. $9.25 for 2 pieces of toast with Vegemite. They think that's alright when they have a queue of people waiting for a table. Sorry to say I wont be going back.

It was another beautiful Melbourne Morning and a drive out to try out a new Cafe for Breakfast. It was Forth Chapter time. The Mrs Pancakes which were Raspberry & Coconut which address excellent, i had the Baked Crumble which was warm and a great meal. To finish off our breakfast we had a Red Velvet Latte & a Golden Late with Turmeric. All up a great place to have a meal. Will be going back to taste the Acai bowl, oh yes and the big breakfast. Looking forward to it.

I ate brunch here on a Saturday which was understandably VERY busy. Although there was a wait to get a table (due to half of the local area wanting to eat there too) they use a system to take your details, add your name to the list and be contacted when your table is ready.

The owners personally introduced themselves and I had an entertaining chat while I was waiting. Genuinely nice people and that extends to the staff and the floor manager.

I had the smashed avocado which comes with saganaki and I opted for 2 poached eggs as an option. Generous serving, eggs were perfectly cooked and the avocado was made to order which was nice to see it wasn’t pre-made and riddled with lemon to stop it from oxidising. For coffee I had a latte and it was the absolute business. Made with precision (barista weighing every shot) and at a temp that you could drink immediately.

Whether you are one to take photos of your food, or like me and purely enjoy food for the taste, do yourself a favour and add Fourth Chapter into your cafe rotation!

Fantastic food, great coffee, the muffin was awesome. Highly recommend the waffles too.

Went at a busy time so had to wait 10 minutes for a table, which is expected as it’s a highly popular café, so went for a walk around the park next door.

Don’t listen to the negative people, one of the best cafés in Melbourne.

Had the smashed avo with pomegranate. Bland avo, frozen not fresh pomegranate is used. Overall
It tastes ok. Service was good, coffees were also good. Place needs a bit of tender love and care, fit out is looking tired.

Had to wait 15mins for a table which is expected on a Saturday morning, and the guy on the door was really friendly. Waitress with printed pants didn’t really listen to my order and ended up getting a meal 3 times larger than I had ordered with scrambled eggs when I had ordered poached and fresh tomato’s when I had ordered grilled, that aside the food was delicious.

Half an hour wait for a table for a decent brunch cafe, it was a good busy vibe they have. But honestly not worth the half an hour wait, I suggest not going her on a weekend and go on a weekday instead to avoid the chaos.

Incredible coffee and perfect service. Plus the shop front is stunning.

I lived next to this place for almost 2 years, and my day wasn't right without one of their coffees in the morning. The bakery specialize in Gluten Free and Vegan treats, and also have little munchies for for babies.

Nice cozy place. Very friendly and cheerful staff. But for some reason, the food took a very long time to come. But it was delicious!

Love the food but realised on the weekend they're charging me over $6 for a strong almond flat white - the most I've paid anywhere in Melbourne and I order that everywhere I go. Means I won't be going back sadly.

Summary: Clearly one of the best breakfast and brunch places in Melbourne. Super classy. Lovely space with terrific inside and outside areas. Good menu here with excellent healthy and not so healthy dishes available depending on your inclination. Superior coffee served here as well. Great place. Highly recommended.

The class starts here at the front door. Wait til you see it. It’s amazing. It leads to a stunning space inside. The space has high ceilings and stark white walls. There’s beautiful greenery throughout the cafe with a number of oversized hanging baskets with cascading philodendrons. It’s a lovely look and it doesn’t stop there. There’s a wonderful courtyard out the back as well. It was a stunning spot on a sunny day like today. There’s several nice areas out there. The one I’d go for would be on the side bench with a view through to the adjacent park. It looked amazing.

I started today with a silky long black. They serve mighty coffee here. Superior beans are used and the brew is expertly made. We started our meal with cauliflower fries which were simply amazing. They were piping hot with a lovely peppery flavour that we both really enjoyed. I love cauliflower but would never have believed it could taste this good. The fries were incredible.

We shared two main dishes. Both were excellent and both were large. The first was a pumpkin salad with kale. It’s a great dish for sharing. The pumpkin is creamy and superbly cooked. The dish includes finely chopped kale, chopped almonds, avocado and sesame seeds among other things. We loved it. It’s very tasty with great textures. Similarly, the southern fried chicken bao is a cracking dish. The chicken is gorgeous. It’s so tender and clearly good quality meat. Add lovely pickled cabbage, sriracha aoli and chilli and lime cashews wrapped in a thrillingly soft bao and you’ve got a real winning dish. It was fantastic.

My partner finished with a flat white which had some very cute coffee art. Like me, she declared the coffee to be superb.

We were so impressed with Fourth Chapter. As I said in the summary above, this is clearly up there with the very best breakfast and brunch places in Melbourne.

Our sincere thanks to Costa for the kind invitation to dine here today. Our thanks too to his excellent staff.
