Forest Glade Gardens reviews
70 A must visit for autumn colours or for spring blossoms.
Make a day trip, bring a picnic. But try to avoid weekends or public holidays.
That was great. Strongly suggest with family and friends. So beautiful and clean.
Lovely place:) even winter time.
Beautiful landscaped gardens, loved the autumn foliage and Japanese garden. Well worth the entrance fee
I am very disappointed in this place (We arrived from Melbrune with two small children 80 minutes on the road and when we arrived in front of us they closed the parking lot and say go away terribly rude service, i never see like this we have to find parking spot and still must pay for entranceIn the park was a lot of people and very narrow paths, many stairs, which was terribly uncomfortable for us with a stroller. We couldn't see the whole park and just gave up and drove away. In 10 min drive we found the same beautiful red tree and its was free and with frandlly stuff. So i dont reccomend this placeRUDE, A LOT OF PEOPLE AND UNCOMFORTABLE FOR FAMILLY AND I GET ONLY STRES
Beautiful place to visit any time of the year. I was there twice during autumn, admiring awesome rainbows of red, yellow and brown leaves. But I was amazed during my last trip in mid October, with the most beautiful spring blooms. I'm sure I'll be back there many times.
A gorgeous garden in a gorgeous area. There's many beautiful lawn areas to sit and take the serenity in. It's great that there are many themed sections within the gardens including the Japanese gardens. It's also dog friendly, which is great! Entry is $10, however it's understandable when you see inside and can appreciate the level of upkeep. There's many beautiful water features and sculptures within the gardens.
A wide range of beautiful fauna. A lovely day out only costing $10 dollars per person (kids free) you can't beat it. So large and so much to see. Been twice and will go again.
Fantastic garden. Quite hard to find car park on the weekend or public holidays. $10 entrance fee for adult.
It is definitely a very nice garden and we can tell it is very well maintained. I just regretted not seeing more drought-tolerant plants. I wonder the quantity of water needed for such a luxuriant garden
Most amazing garden. We got married at the Italian garden in October. Graham is most helpful and wonderful person. It was the best.
Was a really nice please to walk around and enjoy. Would be really good if there was an area to buy drinks, coffees or cakes. Very well kept. I would recommend coming here. However maybe spring or autumn you’ll see more colours
Went to visit the gardens this afternoon. I was blow away, it is stunning. Much bigger gardens than I expected. I stopped there as I saw the sign on the street and I would definitely recommend you to have a wonder around if you ever go nearby. We payed at the gate, entry fee is $10 per adult and putting it Into a mailbox. The gardens were well maintained and so beautiful.
Beautiful gardens very well maintained however note that there is no onsite parking and the street parking close by are No stationary zones
Always so immaculate and such a pleasure to visit. To appreciate the full beauty of this garden you really need to visit in three seasons. (Winter excluded!)
The gardens of Forest Glade have to be one of the most exquisite gardens to visit while at Mt Macedon. Tranquil walkways, hidden gardens, wonderful fountains, diverse garden areas, a wonderful, wonderful experience, not to be missed. And if you have the opportunity, take a tour of the Stokes Collection of antique furniture and beautiful rare Porcelain from a lifetime of collecting, truefully breathtaking.
No public toilet there. 10 dollar per person. Long pants would be better because there are so many mozzie.and Don’t go for the wrong entrance.
Ita a decent sized garden with a variaty of vegitation. Parking was nonexistent as we had to park on the main road and park spaces were hard to come by on a Sunday.
A beautiful formal garden set up with a lovely cold climate fern gully hiding out the back.lack of flat areas could hamper those with walking aides or prams from enjoying the full effect of the garden
Beautiful gardens, very peaceful and tranquil.
Not suited for elderly people if you want to walk the whole garden, very steep, not enough signs to show where the exit is, you don't want to risk getting lost in there with elder people. My mum struggled.
Awesome as they say these days am thinking they and Werribee garden my top two absolutely worth seeing both totally different.
