Really atmospheric and beautiful gardens.would ardently recommend bringing aeroguard, or some other mosquito repellent, especially if visiting after some rain, as well as a pair of decent walking shoes.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in Melbourne, a must visit. Love everything about this place.

Really beautiful gardens, much much bigger than we expected and the walk is actually abit of a workout - wasn't expecting the stairs, in some parts it can be quite steep

Definitely not recommended to visit. There is no proper parking place but there are two racist receptionists. We were not welcome in this place, One lady was rude and mean, and called the police officer to give us a $192 ticket after we went into the garden. I asked the officer, she said someone called and complained, and all parking cars got the tickets because of her ‘kindness’. We forgave her since her life was already that dull, hard and pain:)

The worst experience ever! The staff is terrible. There is no place to park. She lets you to buy the entry ticket and then call the police to issue a parking fine. Her heart is awful! !

Stunning place for a day out kids where in love with the magic of it all. Also my mum had an issue with her sugar levels and one of the lovley people who I think worked there (as she was in her car) gave mum a muffin that she had brought to help her levels rise a bit more I cant thank her enough. I thought I was gonna have to go for a little drive to get her somthing

Peaceful, extensive gardens. We were a few days to early for the stunning autumn colours unfortunately! Will return for a spring visit.

Honestly not worth visiting. The staff were extremely rude, and it's obvious that they only care about selling as many tickets as they can. There were hundreds of people in the gardens today, yet only 4 cubicles with 40 minute queues. When we notified staff that there was no toilet paper in the toilets, they ignored us and just continued selling tickets. The tour/coach buses stopping in front of the entrance on the narrow road to let off huge groups is also concerning. The attitudes of staff members are appalling which made the whole experience unpleasant. Would never visit again or even recommend to anyone.

Lack of maintenance, especially the areas further away from the entrance. No direction signs is a huge problem as I have no idea where I am most of the time. Not worth the money.

Well manicured gardens in an excellent location and back drop.
Beautiful autumn colours and abundant space to relax.
Can spend quality time exploring the beauty and serenity of the park.
Plenty of corners for personal space and well presented artefacts.

Really a must see place if you’re in the area! Beautiful managed garden with a couple hours of exploring and getting lost and seeing the magnificent landscape, $10 dollars entry and they take both cash and card

Visited the Forest Glade Garden for the first time. Beautiful garden, did not expect the hikes that we encountered, but can say unexpected brings good results to different parts of scenic views.

Visited the park during the Easter long weekend. The leaves are ready and it is super nice and relaxing to have a picnic there. It was getting busier around Lunch time. Better to visit there early in the morning.

Both playful and relaxing, a garden for the indulgent.
On the Ferntree gully side a taste of eternal Austalia, the ancient ferns and dangerously steep slopes.

Nice to visit during Autumn time but gets very crowded so hard to take good pictures and has an entry fee of $10. Went there for the Autumn Festival, took a $5 shuttle bus ride from Centennial Park ($5 cark park- plenty of carparks available here) as hard to park off the road nearby with very steep angles and full parking. Still good to visit to see all the pretty autumn colours, the garden map is fairly confusing though and saw many people lost trying to find the various locations on the map. Recommend wearing comfy flat shoes as some of the paths are rocky and can get muddy if it rains. Fairly big garden with lots of mini fountains, lawns for picnic and statues along the paths. Has a variety of plants, flowers & trees. However, there are plenty of other gardens to visit during Autumn which are even better than this one. Would recommend walking down the Honour Avenue though, it is beautiful with autumn coloured trees on both sides of the road.

I checked some reviews regarding the Forest Glade Gardens prior to the trip and was looking forward to seeing beautiful autumn colours when visiting the place yesterday, mid-autumn, 12 April 2022. Oh boy, how disappointed I was! I saw green and green everywhere and very limited Autumn Foliage. I was told the "expected colour", especially for the Japanese maples could be 2 weeks away. I had come a wee bit too early.   My advice is, if you are visiting the garden for the "Autumn Foliage", wait till the end of the month, and come during the weekdays to avoid crowds. By the way, toilets are available near the ticket office as well as next to Hydrangea Hill.

What an exceptional garden Forest Glade is.
Set on vast acreage, this garden is lush at every corner and crevice. It’s very easily to get swept away in the luscious gardens, whether you’re walking around or sitting down and enjoying the peacefulness. I would definitely come back throughout each season to experience the garden through the seasons.

Packed with tourists. Very shady, with mostly European plants. Perfect walk on a hot day. Very well kept
