A great space. A great team. Troy, the teacher, is excellent and I plan to do as many courses here as I can afford. I'm currently enrolled in two separate atelier courses and will be doing more. Highly recommended.

I did the beginner's oil painting course with Kez at Fitzroy painting. I learned the basics of oil painting and had such fun doing it. Kez consistently brought professionalism, light and character to the process and made us feel at home, making all the difference as we slowly re-entered the big wide world after Melbourne lockdown and tried our hand at something new.

I did the Drawing Studio 1 class and absolutely loved it. I finished the four weeks feeling much more open to just giving things a go and enjoyed trying mediums i hadn't used before. Highly recommend

Did the beginners oil painting class. No painting, drawing or artistic experience of any kind. The classes were great - broke down in sequenced steps how to construct a painting and taught the skills applicable. Now time to practice! Would highly recommend. Beautiful studio and teachers also!

Enjoyable week of learning in an inspiring place; the open windows, size of the room and high ceiling made it feel very safe (during these times of Covid). The sequence of classes allows you to build on your learning and make the most of the three basic subjects/techniques taught through the week. The teachers were excellent - helpful and generous with their time. Highly recommended

Absolutely loved it! Great teachers, atmosphere and very thorough but easy to follow across the progression of techniques throughout the week, with each building on the next. Lovely space to work in, all materials provided, nibbles and drinks. So much fun, and now think I’ll continue with oil painting when back in London. 100% recommend:)

I totally enjoyed the beginners oil on canvas class, Judith our teacher was so encouraging and I felt so at ease, experimenting with oil paints for the first time but not the last time I'm going to enroll into level 2. I would highly recommend this class to everyone.

I had the best time doing both beginners and the second level oil painting classes. Thank you so much to the instructors and the owners, the new space is BEAUTIFUL! So much light, has a great vibe to it. I learnt so much about colour mixing, colours, oils, drawing skills, abstraction and enjoyed spending time doing something I love. I did the 6.30-9.30pm classes and easily found parking on the street right outside. Thank you if you are on the fence doing these classes, just do it! Worth your time and money! I’ll be back for sure

Contemporary Still Life classes with Ebony Truscott were excellent. I learned new skills from Ebony's clear, constructive guidance. She has a wealth of knowledge of techniques, and is also positive about others' approaches so you feel encouraged and not judged. Taking care to actively support every individual in the class, Ebony was always available when I had questions. I looked forward to this class every week. Highly recommended.

Great fun, very relaxing & great atmosphere being with others that are enjoying their creativity too!

2nd week into watercolor class. We have a great teacher in Judith who guides us through the techniques - she also does a bit of repair work too!

I really enjoyed doing the course. Very glad that I went with the 4 week course instead of the one day intensive. The studio was beautiful. Right in Fitzroy which was just a nice cool place to wander in. Very easy to get to by PT. People were lovely. I had fun spending a few hours each Saturday learning how to paint in a friendly and supportive environment. The course was very hands on from the start which I liked. Took home two paintings by the end of the course. It was great that the studio offered kit hire. That definitely made life a lot easier. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to give oil painting a go.

Loved the Intro to Oil Painting course (Level 1). Took plenty of time to start at the absolute beginning, explain thoroughly, demonstrate and allow time to practice & paint in class.
Despite the challenges of COVID, Adrienne strove to make it a great experience for our class.
Would highly recommend.

The beginner's oil painting course was fantastic! It was the first time I'd painted since high school and I absolutely loved it. The classes were friendly and approachable especially considering I hadn't painted for years. Ebony was a wonderful, helpful and patient teacher.
