Fawkner Park reviews
54Big open spaces for many to enjoy. Convenient to access by tram or bus along Punt Road. Lovely tree lined promenade.
Beautiful and so close.
Just behind St Kilda road, so close to the city, an enormous park. So much open space. So much green. A great spot for a walk, run, picnic, a bit of sport.
So nice to see spots like this still in Melbourne.
A truly magnificent park with acres and acres of open green lawns with pathways zigzagging diagonally from one side to the other and lined with beautiful, mature Moreton Bay figs, elms, poplars and oaks. The trees form over-arching canopies above the pathways and afford enclosed, focused views of considerable visual appeal. The acres of lawn between the pathways also have feature specimen trees. There are also a number of playing fields and amenities buildings including sporting pavilions, shelters, tennis courts and playgrounds. A great park for organized sports, and for passive recreational activities including walking, picnicking, fitness activities, dog walking and cycling.
Beautiful green and lush park, great for a nice walk and very dog friendly. Just need to follow the dog leashed/unleashed rules and you’re set!
It's a very large park, a nice little church is also positioned at a corner. The park spans from St kilda road to Toorak road and I a great place for runners, dog walkers, and families.
There are toilets, water taps, footy area, two play grounds, large trees and nice footpaths.
There is a gentle steep from Toorak road to St kilda road when you walk that way in the park. The view is great, recommend for photography as well.
You can see city buildings too.
Great open air space with all sorts of courts and facilities. Well looked after. The only issue is with some self entitled dog owners, too many off the leash dogs is annoying at times, especially when they chase other dogs. Similarly with increasing number of electric bikes and skateboards, some people act like of they own the place. Otherwise, great park to enjoy a bit of sunshine
Those beautiful crisp early mornings this place is beautiful to walk around. It's a go place for dog owners and people exercising throughout the day. If you looking for picnic or a walk this place has it covered
I love this place, if you are looking peace and relax this is the perfect place for you. You can do
Picnic, there are bbq
Sports
Kid's area
It is the perfect place for any kind of activity! I have played touch football here, tennis, gone for walks to catch Pokémon, seen people playing cricket, AFL, cycling, having picnics and even sports I don’t know the name of! There are parks for children, a basketball court, it’s easily accessible off Toorak Rd and there’s something about watching people play quidditch that intrigues you…
Very nice park to walk around. Plenty of benches and toilets as well. Safe for wheel chairs and strollers
Nice park! Large and with a great green lawn, its ok to run barefoot on the grass even! Good for picnics, soccer and dogs.
I love this park, it is beautiful full of trees and areas that invite you to lie on the grass to look at the birds, the sky, and what is around
Beautiful, Well looked after Park. Rained while I was Walking through it, I love the smell of wet grass so really enjoyed my stroll through on my way to the Alfred Hospital.
Beautiful park especially during spring and autumn.lots of ppl playing football, cricket and other sports in the park.
Family friendly park near CBD, kids playground is nice and very accessible via many trams. Just huge that you need to walk to the centre for the toilets.
Fawkner Park is one of my favorites parks in Melbourne. It consists of a park for the children, a no leash dog area, a soccer, football and cricket cage for those wanting physical activity as well as a lovely walking track to those that fancy a sightseeing. 5 star from me
I love Fawkner Park, it's large, open, spacious and easy to get to by public transport. It's a great place for a run with wide paths and great for walking dogs or riding bikes with kids.
Beautiful Park to have across the road from The Alfred. Nice to have somewhere to go for a breath of fresh air!
Very refreshing, calm and well maintained park. One of the best park near the City. Has some off leash area for dogs (St Kilda Rd side). It gets very busy for sports matches on weekends.
Beautiful park, full of old trees, pathways and sports of all kinds on the weekends. This is where I play winter softball.
