I went in and got help really well from my first appointment.found a dress and thought was great and I changed my mine.
I finally found my dress got it. I made a appomtment to have my fitting and had not help I tried it on and they didn't even clip i had to hold it up the person in the store was to worried helping my mother in law to be with her dress and left me standing there holding my dress up.
It was mean to be a happy moment but was a nightmare.
I then spoke to the manger about how my dress was 3 sises to big for me and that it did not fit.i had a appointment to go in and see if it could get fix but I had to cancel due to covid.
I then rang them to cancle my dress as my wedding was cancled because of the government and I not have to lose half of my payment as the dress will be sitting in the wardrobe for a long time and turn yellow if I pay for it.i will never deal with them ever again

I tried on dresses there, my main consultant was absolutely lovely but I ended up having three different consultants help me because they were understaffed and very busy.

The other two staff were incredibly rude and were trying to push me into a style I already told them I didn't like, which were 3 sizes too small and I was made to squeeze into them because "this may be the one and we can order it in your size".

Whilst trying on dresses their staff members were commenting on other brides weights during their trials, which I wasn't impressed about. One of the brides looked close to tears after hearing their "constructive criticism".

They were also pushing me to buy a dress a size too small even though I was already at my goal weight.

Their dresses are absolutely stunning and location is great, however their staff just need to improve their customer service to help make people feel special.

Thankyou to Marylee and Tracey for my beautiful bridal gown. After covid-19 postponed my wedding date the girls have been nothing but amazing. We decided to cancel our original 28/03/20 and Marylee was so helpful getting my gown out of Alterations and wait for my new date. My partner and I decided to just have a small intimate wedding 15/06/20 and called Fairytales to let them know and if I could get the dress altered in a week. Tracey did such an amazing job in such a short time. I got to wear my dream dress and marry my best friend covid couldn't stop us. Thankyou Fairytales xxx

Fairytales Nunawading helped me to design my dream wedding dress! After trying on many dress' elsewhere i knew exactly what design suited my body. I went in there and explained my vision and they found me a dress that had the potential to look like what i imagined! After sending a sketch to the designer Martina Liana with all the changes they literally designed the gown of my dreams! The staff were so professional and kind at every fitting and i would recommend Fairytales to any bride to be! Love Laura xx

I went dress shopping in January and the ladies there were fantastic. My mum has a physical disability and was unable to be there to see me try on all the dresses so we had said in the event I feel I have found the one or two my fiance would drop her off. This happens and despite the store being busy due to a sale on, the ladies offered to put the two dresses aside and wait. As soon as my mum arrived they pur me back into the dressing room into the dress for mum to see. It was so meaningful to me to have them so happy and willing to accomidate my circumstances. I found my dress because of their adaptability an understanding. I can not thank you enought.

Highly recommend visiting this store! The staff are amazing at helping you find your perfect dress. Carmen ended up picking out the dress I ended up going with and I'm so glad she did. It was stunning once I put it on however was not something I would have picked up myself.

I've had 2 appointments at this store. One for wedding dress fittings and one for bridesmaid dresses. Both times I had appointments and also both times Got told to just look around. We wern't really given instruction or assistance. I just assumed we picked stuff of the shelf, we had to lug these around as we had no help (both for the wedding dresses and bridesmaid) I had to approach the counter to ask for help or what we should be doing. The girl helping us with bridesmaid dresses didn't really do anything but watch us put them on. I don't feel they deserved my money and went elsewhere. Reading reviews and it's great to see some people had great experiences. I felt rushed and obligated. I don't recommend.

Even though I did not have an appointment, I was welcomed and the staff helped me straight away. I was shown lots of dresses and was given amazing customer service.

Swerve this place! Arrived early to my appointment, had a look around then sat down to wait to be seen. Started my appointment 15 mins late because they said they couldn't find me. The store is not big, think that was just an excuse because she was late. Lady didn't really listen to the type of style/photos that I showed her that I was after. Felt very rushed. 1 dress appealed to me but she wanted to close the deal pretty much as soon as I looked in the mirror. Way too pushy. Material is also very cheap and inferior, go somewhere else like Brides of Armadale or Raffaele Cuica.
Hope management listens to these reviews on customer service, so many bad ones.

I had a terrible experience at this store. I made an appointment for the morning about a month in advance.
When i arrived, the staff member seemed incredibly annoyed that i was even there. Didn't attempt to make me feel comfortable at all. Would only allow me to try 3 dresses on and also made no attempt to offer suggestions. Once id tried on the 3 dresses, she then told me that they had nothing else in my budget ($3000) and that i was a plus size so not to many options in style (i am a size 10-12!)

This place was horrible.

Staff spent all the time with me I needed to find the right dress and there was a great range to choose from. When I had the dress altered elsewhere and it was stuffed up, Fairytales fixed it (beautifully) just two weeks before my wedding. Couldn't recommend them more.

Best experience I had at this store. They certainly know how to look after a bride.

We made an appointment at Nunawading for first thing in the morning, but when we got there were left waiting at least 15min before anyone would help us. It was my first time looking at wedding dresses, we weren't sure what to do and didn't have much guidance, and the place was so over-crowded it was hard to move around. Honestly they would be better off having far less appointments at a time so they can pay more attention to each customer.
Was also very unimpressed with the range of dresses. Not many good options for larger girls - we like to have nice weddings too, so best to learn to cater for the larger market if you hope to run a sustainable business.

I went to the Nunawading store to look for a wedding dress on Friday and I tried some on and there was one that I like however it was too big and long and I asked how much it would cost to get the dress resized and shortened at the bottom and I was told it would cost just $100. I was happy with that and went ahead to buy the dress. However today I called the store
at around 4pm to confirm the price of the alterations and was told by someone different that it was cost $400-$500 and she also was also very rude and said that if I wasn’t happy with the price I should just ask a family member or go elsewhere. As a customer I felt insulted and also confused as I was told two different things by two different people. You need to consider how you treat your customers or at least that certain lady needs to.
