Visited the store unsure of what dress shopping would be like as a midsized woman who just had a baby 6 weeks ago. Was fitted by Angelita (a literal angel) who helped me find the perfect dress. She listed to all my feedback, made me feel so comfortable & found so many dresses that suited my budget & style. All the staff who I came across were unbelievably friendly & kind. I cannot recommend this store & Angelita enough! Thank you for making me feel & look like a princess!

MaryLee was an amazing support as I tried on wedding dresses for the first time. The service at Fairytales was professional, yet so kind at every stage. I was given many beautiful options and advice about how to personalise dresses for the look I wanted. I highly recommend Fairytales to brides as their first stop for dress shopping. It was a very positive and encouraging place to begin my journey. Thank you, Fairytales.

Our first appointment at Fairytale was really good, we got a lot of help and thought we almost found the dress but we weren’t 100% sure! So we came back a second time after having a look at a couple more stores and getting a feel for what we actually were wanting (the first time going was only our second store). When we came back a second time, we realised there were only a handful of dresses that caught our eye, and when trying on the dresses, we weren’t falling in love with any of the dress! By about the third dress, we noticed the staff who was helping us was getting frustrated with the bride as she just wanted her to settle on the dress. She had a stern tone and was rude when asking the bride what don’t you like about the dress, and said to another staff annoyingly “uhhhh she’s not happy” and it didn’t feel like she wanted to help us rather just wanted to make a sale. Wedding planning is a stressful time especially when it comes to finding the perfect dress, so when a staff is blatantly showing a bride that’s she’s frustrated with her not picking a dress or not liking any dresses that were tried on, it adds extra stress and ruins thee experience. Our 1.5 hour session, was only a 30mins session. Really feel sad that it was a bad experience for the bride, when it’s meant to be a happy moment.

Amazing range and customer service! Found my dress on my first visit and am over the moon.

Had a great experience and was able to find my dress easily with the help of my very experienced consultant. Only criticism would be that they seem to mainly stock designer range in extra small sizes.

I went into Fairytale bridal today in a panick as I needed a wedding dress and had no luck elsewhere. I was greeted by a lady called Sonia who was an absolute gem. She helped me to no end and actually found my perfect dress. Thank you so much Sonia. You won't be forgotten. ️

I went into Fairytales Bridal Saturday 04.03 with no idea what to expect. The appointment was everything I wanted/needed and more. Sonya was incredible, she knew from the moment she met me what vibe I was going for and picked me the most beautiful dresses to try on before finding the one! Even then she still had me try on a few others to ensure the decision I made was the one I wanted to. I would refer anyone onto here. They listen, they care, they pay attention, it was everything I could dream of and more.

I can honestly not speak more highly of the team at Fairytales Bridal Boutique over in Nunawading, especially Marylee.
I had heard wonderful things, and decided to make it my first stop on the wedding dress shopping list- and as soon as I walked through the door, I could see why it was so highly recommended.
Such a wonderful selection of gowns, catering for all needs! However Marylee made easy to navigate, and she made me and my team feel so comfortable, welcome and most importantly, confident! She gave great advice, and perspective, which is exactly what I needed to say 'yes to the dress'!

Has got to be the worse experience by far. Went in for a consultation, consultant had nothing to say but to tell me I need to lose couple of kilos and that this place is not for me.really disappointed

I cannot praise Fairytales Bridal Boutique enough. I nervously walked in there as a plus sized bride, wondering if they had any dresses I could wear, and I was instantly put at rest as they have a huge range for all people. Sarah was my consultant, and she was kind, clear, funny, and instantly put me at ease. She knew when to listen, and when to reassure, when to ask mum to keep her opinions to herself and when to encourage input. Even at my final fitting almost a year later she remembered us and came over excitedly.the fittings were amazing and the craftmanship was remarkable - even a small detail to do with the zipper was fixed in 5 minutes before we left the store. Can't sing your praises enough. Thank you for helping me look like a princess!

Very happy with my experience at Fairtytales in Nunawading, they had a great range of plus size dresses and the team was very helpful. I would hightly recommend them to other brides.

Booked a bridesmaid appointment at Fairytales over a month ago for the 9th of April. We arrive at the store (it's a 30 min drive each way for all of us) to be informed that they are no longer taking orders and they only have what is on the rack. In the colour we were looking for, there were 3 dresses, 1 in a size 30 and 2 size 18's. When I asked the consultant why I was not informed of this change she was not able to give me any answer. Incredibly unprofessional of the business and an absolute waste of mine and my bridesmaids time. Thankfully another bridal store was able to fit us in for an appointment and we ended up purchasing our dresses there. Would not recommend fairytale purely on their lack of professionalism and communication

Had a lovely time today looking at dresses with the help of Sarah. She was so patient and understanding. She listened to what I was thinking and responded so well and never made me feel pressured to make a decision on the spot. Huge range of dresses including plenty at my more budget price point.

Plenty of dresses to choose from, shame the staff were rude and didn't have time to show you what you've chosen on their website. The dresses are beautiful, but the staff had no idea where anything was. Tried 1 bridesmaid dress also.was left alone to fit ourselves. They were not interested in a sale, or to help us feel amazing in the many selections they had. Very unorganised. Probably one of the worst dress shopping experiences we've had.

Nightmare experience from the start! Time limit, felt rushed but also left to tend to myself. After trying on a few I picked one I liked with potential after needed a big alteration to the top half. They said it cane in other colour options however, no time or opportunity to see any others. After purchasing that particular dress on the basis the cups would be changed and a few other things, I arrived at my first fitting appointment where I was again just left. When I had seen ny dress I noticed again the cups and a few other things had not been changed. One of the seamstresses came out said they would do this that and the other and within 10 mins of arriving was charged $500 for stuff I had no idea what they were doing and hurried out the door. They wanted to add boning which I had said no too. The dress I picked was not suited for that.

3rd time to pick up my dress for final fitting 3 days before my wedding i decided to take someone with me as I had such a terrible experience so far. I tried the dress on. It had been altered so much it didn't look like the same dress, THE CUPS WERE STILL THE SAME! Even after 3 appointments the low back on the dress was now half way up my back and the lace was all together. I was so shocked and sad to see the state of it. Again, it had taken me over 2 hours to be at this appointment. No one helped me in my dress I was totally left. Finally a seamstress came out and tried to rush me out the door with it. I refused untill it had been fixed. It had a major rip in the lace aswell. The seamstress tried to say the cups could be tucked round my armpits. It looked so stupid!
After hanging around for a few hours I then went back to see that they finally changed the cups. They had also again, decided to take in the top of the dress (not needed) so it didn't fit me. They had also altered the bottom by the zip so the buttons were wonky. In the end I demanded for someone else to help me. All if a sudden I had everyone around helping. It was the most help I had had the whole 3 appointments. Despite seeing people around me get help.

This could keep going with the absolute shambles of a dress. I didnt have time to find a new one in such a short time so on ny wedding day I wore a dress which was so uncomfortable and didnt fit me atall properly!

I went in today with my bridesmaids to try on dresses. I had photos of the dresses I wanted to try on from the website, both bridal and bridesmaids! This was completely disregarded. Although I found a dress I really loved, my bridesmaids were left to try on a dress by themselves, no help, no follow up to see if we wanted to try on any different styles or even if we were interested in buying anything. I will definitely be going somewhere else to purchase where the staff are interested in helping us! My bridesmaids are just as important as me and there dresses would have been a big sale too had someone paid us more than 2 minutes interest instead of sitting behind a desk.

A big thank you to Sarah and the team from Fairytales Nunawading for going above and beyond for me. I was 5 weeks out from my wedding when my previous bridal store said they could no longer provide me with my wedding dress. The team got me in for an appointment and I was lucky enough to have Sarah as my consultant. Sarah got me in a dress that I fell in love with immediately and fitted perfectly. I was able to buy the dress off the rack and they got me in for alterations within the week to make some small changes to the dress. I was so stressed and upset prior to this appointment but Sarah was committed and determined to finding me my perfect dress. Can't recommend this store or the girls there anymore - genuinely saved my life (and my wedding!)

Fantastic experience. We've gotten the bride's dress and all the bridesmaids here as they have a great range. The staff are so knowledgeable and they make the entire process simple. Given Covid everything is a bit delayed but they were very honest and helpful for planning delivery dates and booking fittings.

Had a bad experience here. Went in for a consultation. Consultant wasn't interested in helping at all. My mum and sister also felt she wasn't interested in us. We were told to wait past our appointment time because 'another bride might buy her dress'. Consultant ignored what I wanted and insisted I try on dresses that looked awful and didn't work for my body type or preferences. She literally yanked and pushed me into one dress despite me not wanting to wear it. Then later yanked a dress off me which I had been holding up so I was standing topless in front of her. I felt borderline assulted. Very unhelpful, disinterested, and awful experience. There is no way I would recommend anyone visit this shop or buy from them.

Edit in response to shop's response: Yes, I left this review on the Nunawading shop because that was where I visited for a try on. You will find that my name is exactly the same as the email with which I was contacted regarding my appointment. Thank you for the offer of making it up to me, however I have found a dress elsewhere with much better customer service. I stand by my review. Others deserve to know how they might be treated at this store.
