Etto Pasta Bar - Malvern reviews
76I paid $30 just for the gnocchi fritti. I made an Uber eats order, which I never have troubles with when I order from here, and they forgot my main part of the order which was a $20 sandwich …. I am upset as I have never had any troubles in the past and now have to eat a small snack for lunch at work… maybe they were having a bad and busy day but still. I’m disappointed and am now going to have to order something else from somewhere else
Used to be the very best for the price. Now has been slipping for over 4 years, with elsternwick the worst and south Melbourne the best. Not worth the price anymore. Very sad, was always something i could rely on to put a smile on my face
Best Lasagne I've had in a long time. Garlic bread nice but could be a little bigger. Pizzas good too
We walked in on a Wednesday evening, it was bright and very clean. The staff member working was hospitable and very lovely. We ordered our meal (ordering options are in person or via a QR Code) and it arrived really promptly. We ordered different pastas and everyone really enjoyed their meals.
This is a great place for a group (to order and pay separately) or to sit and enjoy a casual meal.
Hi, it's the best experience that I have had in one Italian restaurant street food!
The concept is really good and they have a good staff! They are lovely!
Delicious food and wonderful experience!
Employers very kind and the best Pasta that I have ever eaten! Good job!
The actual pasta is good but the sauces are below par. If you make good pasta, get the sauces right. I’ve ordered twice now, hoping a different sauce would be good. Nope. Pizzas are good. Great base and toppings but it’s always cold when you get it so soggy after you heat it up. Also $11 for the tiniest dessert ever is not ok
So disappointed.
Previously good. I have love the beef ravioli with basil pesto. Going back time after time.
Sadly the beef ravioli has changed No long Angus beef, but listed as beef and veg. Now the basil pesto I ordered was more like a saag from an Indian restaurant. Years of attendance and I don’t think I’ll be back.
We had a quick meal on our way to the AO in Richmond.
Simply delicious, quick and honest food. It’s equivalent to Zambrero and Guzman y Gomez, so if you’re after a restaurant experience, this isn’t the right setting for you but if you’re in a hurry and want a quick quality meal, it is perfect! We’ll be back.
The food here is fairly generous, and is served by friendly staff. Food comes out relatively quickly, and is good quality.
Fresh and delicious! Hits the spot when you crave for a pizza! Garlic bread with cheese is a must! I’ve ordered a few times already and will order again.
Self service pasta place. Dishes were around 15-25 each. Recommend the white pastas and garlic bread. One of our go tos for an affordable Italian fix.
Dodgy!
Ordered through UberEats, was given a pasta dish from a completely different restaurant, UberEats was adamant the restaurant stuffed. Tried ringing Etto multiple times, no answer, rang their sister restaurant the girl who answered said “that’s just how it is”…
We love this place. It's our go to restaurant. We have had EVERY family birthday here. Not again. The Manager with the PINK BEARD is going to ruin this place! He had a huge attitude. I asked to swap bacon for anchovies on a pizza. It's never been a problem before. He said no way.anchovies are very expensive. He charged for them and then I see they are the cheapest topping on the menu. Then my kids asked for some parmasan cheese and he told them to go away they have had enough already. REALLY.we have never been treated like this. I hope the owner reads this review!
I want to congratulate the staff of this place for the good service. But special congratulations to the chef of the place (a gentleman with a pink beard) who had the patience to prepare my food according to my dietary requirements and the restrictions I have with food.thanks for the patience. Congratulations to the owner of this place for this excellent staff.thanks, everything was amazing.
Got kicked out half way through our meals at 8: 50 because they were “closing in 3 minutes and legally couldn’t have us in the store” and “they needed time to clean”
even though they’re open until 9: 15…
Had half a pizza each and almost a full salad still to go but we’re forced to put it in takeaways ourselves.
Said that was the owners decision but I highly doubt that.
1 star for the food and 1 star for the lovely girl who served us as we came in.
Etto’s pasta were always tasty and would highly recommend. Don’t forget to include their garlic bread to your order. Our favourite, classic Mac n cheese.
Ordered the mozzarella sticks, Black Truffle Salami Spinach Ravioli and Italian Sausage Rigatoni. Overall ambience of the restaurant was clean, mozzarella sticks were a bit small and hollow, sauces for both pastas were nice but the ravioli tasted quite stale and the server was quite defensive when asked about. Overall would not recommend a visit given the price.
They have a decent selection of pizzas with a good price. If you're out for a mid-level pizza, that's the place.
I really enjoyed the prosciutto gorgonzola pizza.
They also have a lot of fresh pasta options. Thy look good, but I haven't tried them.
Second time in a row getting a Goliath Gnocchi Bolognese from Etto and didn’t get Parmesan cheese to go with it. $28 dish of bolognese needs Parmesan cheese! Come on!
