ENA - Southbank (Melbourne CBD) reviews
77Absolutely spectacular food! I cannot recommend Yassas more highly! The ambience on the balcony is wonderful and energetic. The quality of the cooking is 5 star! We will be back! Evharisto!
Have always had my lunch fron here because it’s close to work. Tried their grilled chicken souvlaki while dining in and also crispy chicken souvlaki.
I dont normally do reviews. I ordered 2 souvlaki meals on deliveroo.didnt bother putting the chips in that i paid for, chicken was fatty and bland. Pita bread was so soggy. Couldnt taste any flavours or even Tzatziki. Threw it out after 2 bites. Extremely dissapointed
Food was great, service was exemplary.
But the live music was uncomfortably loud for a restaurant. The waitstaff couldn't hear us order
Beautiful place as well as the food, very delicious, love the calamari fried with lemon pepper mix, love the halloumi chips and spanakopita and souvlaki, very tasty and generous portion!
Love this restaurant, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is always great and the views of the Yarra just complete the atmosphere. It’s my go to when I’m in the area.
Good food. Very busy on Friday nights and quite loud. Get a seat on the balcony. Weather permitting
Mixed platter tasted awesome, so much food. Didn't need to order entrees, but we did anyway.
Saganaki and Zucchini Fritters
Very good typical Greek restaurant. Happy atmosphere. Plenty of dips etc. Good choice of wines and beers. As It's upstairs on 1st floor, a window seat is preferable for the view. Friendly staff. All good and relaxing. Located In the Southbank building.
Friendly courteous service, delicious food, succulent meats, tasty breads and dips.absolutely Greek.certainly recommended.
Would not recommend it to my worst enemy food was good service was terrible. Upon arrival there was an argument with a customer and indian owner or manager about the overcharging on the bill didnt think much of it but when it came for me to pay i had the same problem they had overcharged me by $270 they said they made a mistake but on the bill they had put all these extras so if you go take care of what you order and what you are paying for because they are shifty i wouldnt rate it 1/2 a star
Food was divine, lovely staff.very busy and super noisy but i guess to be expected at this time of year.greek coffee superb, will definitely go again!
Everything is great for Greeks and all nations!
Great gyros.
Great service.
Great view.
The food is delicious and it is a great place to go when your in the city and need to get something to eat. The souvlaki is extremely good and i recommend you go their if your nearby.
Came here a couple weeks ago and I was disappointedly served raw chicken. I was revolted by the food, I was given a new plate which i was happy with as it was well sorted out but still shocked as this is quite a popular place serving raw meat.
The chef's sample platter i ordered was delicious. This place was recommended to me by a friend and today I would recommend it to everybody out there. Worth every dollar spent.
We organised a business lunch for Xmas for 20+ people, in despite that the staff was friendly and food was good:
1.the service was really insufficient, I had to be all time approaching them to clean table as they were not removing empty glasses, to speed up with food (we were waiting 45 min for the main courses)
2.area was really really hot without aircon, breeze and without been able to open the blind in the balcony (which was broken, and that is ok and we understand, but we did not get any alternative in a 33+ degrees environment in Melbourne, people was sweating and struggling and I had to approach the staff many times for possible solutions)
3.we had to stand up when they turned a system on, that was spreading water (misting system) since the system was leaking lot of water and we got all our clothes wet.so people in some sections started standing up until was over (in the middle of the lunch)
We needed also to do a little presentation and they allowed us to do it a section of the restaurant (pergola) but we had to cancel it as the place was really noisy and bright (we consider they should have advised us about it as other restaurants did, if you can provide what we required just say no and don't accept our group, also since the food was late, people in other locations across Australia was waiting for us for connecting)
overall, we all been very disappointed and we will never organise any upcoming event there. Clients need guidance when we ask for a service.
First time dining at Yassas. We came for our Anniversary dinner and I must say the food was amazing! We had the Lamb Souvlaki, Calamari and Zucchini fritters and finished off with the Loukoumades topped with walnuts and honey. What a wonderful night we had eating this delicious feast overlooking the Yarra!
Generous serving sizes and really tasty Greek food in a beautiful setting overlooking the Yarra. Will be back.
Had our first night out since lockdown 7 and this restaurant did not let us down. The service is efficient and friendly and the food is divine. We had the $65 banquet and every single dish delivered to our table was delicious. Definitely the only Greek restaurant to go to if you are in the city. Highly recommend!
