Emporio Pizza and Pasta

Caught up with friends and their kids at this restaurant for dinner. We had a great time, enjoying the food and the pleasant environment. Would highly recommend their sticky date pudding and mushroom risotto. A great place to enjoy Italian cuisine with family.

I'm not sure how this place has 4 reviews. I'd put it at the bottom of all the Italians in Melbourne. Qr code service for $30+ a meal.bland, average food. Book gradi in advance to avoid having to settle here.

No hard copy menus and need to order online, there is a QR code on each table. So if you’re having trouble with QR codes be mindful. Unfortunately you need to create an account for ordering but if you don’t want to do that you can order directly which is what I did. However as I was ordering directly with the server and reading off my phone I don’t appreciate the head waitress snatching my phone away and recording the order her self (yes if you’re reading this you can review the camera footage yourself, quite rude!), she could’ve politely ask me for my phone. Thinking back I should’ve said something.
There is a credit card surcharge and Sunday charge fee so for me it was extra 1.10 and 8.70 service fee. Ordered kids meal but they forgot to bring out my sorbet:/ and I left without it. Pizza and pasta was ok. No pram access and no wheelchair access so be mindful of that.

Visited after a movie for lunch. It was quiet. Ordered 2 pizzas for 4 to share. Asked if we could split and have half Hawaiian. No probs. We had 3 pints of beer (Seem flat) and water and 1 dessert. $120.00. They charged $2.50 for having half Hawaiian. Does not bother me about the $2.50 but it's not advised or we weren't advised. Need to be upfront. Went to pay and they don't split bills. In these times, no one carries cash and just about everyone splits bills these days as everyone now carries cards. Customer Service!

For such an amazing venue, the food, service and atmosphere was quite lacking. Not that they were rude or the food was inedible, but you order via QR and the chef's clearly aren't tasting the food before they send it out. The pizza was lacking flavour, and so was our mushroom risotto and carbonara. Not to mention playing very strange choice in music (smash mouth etc?) The portion sizes were reasonable, the drinks were fantastic, and the speed of food arriving was good however. Not bad.

Waited almost 1 hour for food on a Saturday night at off peak time after 9pm. The pizza barely had any toppings, had white bait on it instead of anchovies. Fungi risotto was bitter. Very expensive too.

Tender porterhouse steak, with vegetables and sweet potato fries. Excellent service by Cathy and short turn around to table.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Friendly staff and didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive!

Wow, what a gem of a place. Brought a pre-show dinner package with a show at the Palms. I was blown away by the service and food. I would highly recommend I know I will be back.

I couldn't fault Service it was excellent.

Service was fast and the food was extremely fulfilling. We provided some feedback to staff as there were some sharp bones in one of our pastas, but all in all decent experience. However, drinks weren’t worth the price, and the tiramisu was average. Would recommend getting those elsewhere within the city.

Emporio definitely gives off the feel its a high volume restaurant in crown.
The food is good, i wouldnt say great but you won't regret the money.
The service is generally good and the staff make a genuine effort to rectify issues. For example during out visit our meal was 90 mins late, the manager came out without us asking. Checked on us, waved our dessert and drinks and genuinely cared. You could also see that the staff were trying to work out what happened.

Overall prices and quality are reasonable, and it's definitely one of the more affordable places in Southbank.
Its only sitting at a 3star because it's not somewhere that 'wowed' me but I would definitely eat again

The place was empty when I attended. The food was alright, but the atmosphere was lacking.

I ordered calamari, but I received the salami board. The other guests at my table ordered ceasar salads, and I ordered calamari. The waitress repeated my request but wrote down something different. Another person brought us our meals. When I questioned the dish I received, he assured me that it was what had been written down by the waitress. I didn't want to cause any fuss, so I took the dish I was served. The other people at my table confirmed that I had asked for calamari.

The others enjoyed their salads. My dish was okay, but I didn't enjoy the cold cut choices. Nor did I like the pickled veggies.

I dined at this restaurant before and the food was good overall.

Standard Italian style dishes, nothing special but absolutely ok and reasonably priced, pleasant staff and atmosphere.

Good Italian food, bit overpriced but you are at the casino. Service is quick and attentive, casino atmosphere obviously.

Ordered our meals got our drinks straight away then the waitress brought 2 empty plates to us and then that was it, waited over an hour and still no meals, people coming in after us were being served their meals ahead of us. Don’t understand why we were given 2 empty plates? We left quite annoyed. We paid for our drinks, no apology from the owner, disgraceful service, will not be back, don’t recommend at all.

Very disappointed with service and food have not been their since covid and would not go back again very poor portions for the money we payed at least they could do better fir their prices

Overhyped place. The food is super basic and is not worth the price. The service was really good though.

Outstanding steak and pasta and I want to say the service by Mark and attention was perfect not only to us but all the tables he serviced. Liked the food and service so much came back again tonight for the pizza.
