Eltham Lower Park reviews
57Great park area. We went to enclosed playground but I remember coming here as a child and seeing the miniature railway that is still here and operating. There is plenty for people to do here
Lovely lacrosse club. Very muddy, so be warned. Bring muck boots and a towel after a rainy night!
Nifty little playground area, but is like the poor cousin of the larger playground on the other side of the oval. Still, two BBQ areas, a small flying fox, swings, some climbing structures and lots of space in which to run around. Heaps of car parking.
We had a great time with our granddaughter during the train ride. Although not much equipment in the playground for toddlers.
2 ovals, one for dogs to run around and one to play cricket, kick the footy or have a run around with the family. There are beautiful walking tracks nearby right along the river. Would highly recommend for a nice day out.
Excellent now tickets can be purchased on line. Great friendly staff. Lovely clean environment.
Great place to visit, picnic, walk and yes the trains. You must definately visit here with your kids and family.
Great park, completely fenced in. Clean and great for young kids. Lots of fake grass, tan bark and soft playground flooring for picnics!
A great place for a day of family fun. Playground, picnic and bbq areas and the miniature railway is good honest fun for kids of any age from 1 to 100 years old!
I have run all the creek and river trails in greater Melbourne. And so I have run Diamond Creek Trail. The starting point of which is Eltham Lower Park, right on the confluence of Diamond Creek and the Yarra. And so I have experienced the park before sunrise and in the heat of day. Like all urban parks in Melbourne the local Council does a great job of maintaining them. Its a great spot.
This place has a football oval, play ground and a miniture railway.the play ground is large and fun for the kids and it has picnic tables and toilets.they are old but ok. The miniature train is run by volunteers and is run most weekends. There are walking tracks and bike tracks all around the park which borders the Yarra river. There is also a really big walking bridge across the Yarra at the rear of the reserve
A great place for the whole family. They offer swings, plus there's a couple of pathways to go for walks with the family.
Had a Sunday afternoon kids party at this fantastic fun place to find the toilets locked. Make of that what you will, to me it didn't make sense!
There are many reasons to visit! The miniature railway is number one, but you can picnic here, there is a playground and public toilets. Did I mention the miniature railway.seriously cool.
A fun Park with a rail train ride for all the family at a very affordable price, recommend the drive to a picturesque environment
Lovely relaxing place to goto and you have to go on the train or it's not worrh going. Love to go back again
Mini trains, river nearby, lots of trails, not far from Eltham Town for cafes, supermarkets & shopping.
Spaced out playground, good for toddler and preschooler age plus lots of seating nearby. Well away from the main road.
Parking was difficult (very busy day) service and ride was pleasurable for the entire family. Kids loved the teddy bear picknic theme for the day.
A great area. The majority of dogs are well behaved & socialised. As are their owners who are generally friendly, taking responsiblity for cleaning up after their dogs. The dynamics of the various breeds are interesting. The retrievers chase the balls, the cattle breeds herd the retrievers & the smaller dogs play amongst all of the above. Do yourself a favour & check it out
