Had a great experience on Friday night with Linda, the waitress and the rest of the staff.

Linda and the team were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

Could not believe how dysfunctional the breakfast service at this establishment. Breakfast was included with our hotel package but you could not pay me enough money to come back. First morning waited at least 40 minutes to even get our breakfast orders taken. Even the pre-made yoghurt and granola took an abnormally long time to make it to the table. On a positive note this restaurant could win the Guiness World Record for the longest time taken to prepare a coffee. We put it down to possibly being a one off experience and decided to give it a second chance the next day. Boy were we wrong. Firstly, we waited with other families as there were plenty of tables that hadn't been cleared. Once we finally sat down we watched on in horror as what I believed to be a social experiment to see which customers cracked and left first unfolded. Us along with several other families and couples waited over 40 minutes for a coffee that was served in a takeaway cup because they obviously hadn't caught up on washing the dishes from the other tables. Waited over an hour for a continental breakfast and longer for our main meal. We persevered until the end whilst there was a mass exodus of customers from the restaurant. Would not recommend getting the breakfast included package at Peppers.

The service was impeccable. The food, wow! My gnocchi were pillows that lay on top of the most delicious ingredients. The waitress came over with different options of wine and let us taste before deciding. The chef came out to our table and chat to us and then sent us a dessert sampler. The whole experience was divine. Can’t wait to go back for more!

It was a pleasure to have dinner at the Edin Wine Bar and Cellar on their first night back since reopening. The staff went so above and beyond, it truly made us feel so special.
A big thank you to the staff and chefs for the amazing food and drinks. Can't wait to be back again soon!

It is a comparatively new restaurant offering a fine dining experience with chic & modern interiors - and also having it’s own cellar.

They offer an extensive list of specialty wines hand-picked by globally renowned sommelier, Dan Sims. And the entire list is made up of Victorian producers, with a balance of regions, varietals and even a balance of male and female makers.
.
And it doesn’t just stop there, infact gets better.if we talk about their food offering, its just mind blowing.
So well presented and so delicious in taste.

Their menu is neat with dishes that balance well with their amazing wine collection.
Starting with starters: • Duck liver éclair • Amazing parfait • So very delish Duck Terrine

Coming to mains: • Roasted pumpkin in buttermilk & curry leaves • Spring greens, fresh corn & brioche salad • Lamb saddle, soubisle & celery • Pasta of the day: Linguine with duck, mushroom & goat cheese
.
We would definitely recommend this place to go and celebrate any special occasion or just celebrate life!

Great place to eat and drink. On a weekday this makes a great casual drinking spot after work. The food was very tasty too! I’ll be back!

Very good selection of hand picked Victorian wines. Some absolute gems to be found in this list. Great food too. Well worth the effort of finding this place. Will be back.

Sophisticated and sleek, Edwin is the perfect spot for a date night or when you feel like something fancy. Beautiful food is paired with amazing drops of wine, and the sexy and moody vibe is bound to impress.

From the entrees all the way to the mains and finishing off with desserts, everything was faultless. The goat's curd with peas, mint and olive oil was a delicate dish with bright and clean flavours, and the white asparagus cooked in chicken broth, thyme and dukkah was just as light on the palate. On the other end of the spectrum was the lamb cutlets. Paired with kale, anchovy and shallots, it was bold and piquant, and the lamb was wonderfully tender and succulent.

The mains were just as impressive. The pasta cooked with mushrooms is a surefire hit. Earthy and bursting with umami flavours, we left nothing on the plate. Also cooked beautifully was the duck, and the daikon and rhubarb jus provided a backdrop of amazing flavours.

Sweet tooth will be delighted with the selection of desserts here. The salted caramel eclair, creme brulee and chocolate mousse were skilfully executed, with sensational flavours to boot.

The wine pairing by the knowledgeable sommelier matched the food perfectly, and the service was impeccable. An amazing meal that hit all the right spot.

This is the perfect fancy date night venue. The restaurant is extremely classy and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly! There is an extensive wine selection and a lovely list of cocktails. The food was incredible and you could tell every dish was thought out and perfected. There was so much flavour in each dish and ever bite left you wanting more. The pommes were extremely crunchy and a must order when attending! If you love cheese the goats curd is for you! The peas and lime added extra spunk to the dish and created flavour I haven’t experienced before. The pumpkin was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The pasta was amazing and the mushroom flavour was delicious. The wine pairing was amazing with each dish and enhanced the flavours. The caramel on the elclairs was perfect and took the dish to the next level. Every dish tried left a lasting incredible taste and would definitely be a place I would return to!

Showcasing Victoria’s finest fresh produce and wine. Their wine list is extensive and carefully curated to highlight the local producers. We tried the Sangiovese and Tempranillo and they completed the mains really well.

The decor inside is sleek and classy with a neon logo “Edwin” at the front. Love how the setting is cosy and is located in an amazing location in Southbank.

We got to try their amazing menu and started off with the eclairs, trout tartare, lamb cutlets. The trout tartare was an absolute favourite as it was a generous portion and i absolutely loved the acidity and balanced in the flavours which kept the dish fresh. The lamb cutlets were nicely marinated and the texture of the meats was tender and nice.

For mains we went with the lamb saddle and the Hagens Organic Beef and they were both absolutely amazing. The lamb was cooked really well and it was so soft. The celery and soubise complemented the dish really well. The beef on the other hand was cooked to perfection and the edamame beans was a brilliant addition to the dish.

We finished off with the creme brulee and chocolate mousse and malt which balances the flavour really well. The staff here was so attentive and friendly and they had an in depth knowledge of the menu and the background of their fresh produce.

Will definitely be back again thats for sure

Solid 3.5 stars.
The ambience was great. A very cool- chill like vibe- perfect just to eat at the end of the week with friends without the hustle bustle of the city.
Unfortunately the food was a little hit and miss.

The entrees- the lamb cutlets was to die for! Perfectly cooked covered with a little green (kale?) sauce- was absolutely perfection.
The trout tartare dish was also fabulous! Not as a traditional tartare- this had bits of pomelo through it to add to the freshness- very well done.
However the goat's curd was not a table pleaser and the duck terrine was okay.

To the main- the beef- with little description on the menu- and when asked it wasn't mentioned that this was cooked rare, almost blue! Even steak lovers might find it hard to eat if you're not used to rare meat. Not a pleasant surprise.
The Blue eye was ordinary.
The lamb saddle was 7/10.
The duck, however, was fantastic! 10/10. Cooked so tender and crispy on top.
Our group had a 50% off the booking (the Fork promotions), and paid $25pp.
That was very much worth it considering we shared everything on the table- however if I had to go back at full price? Would definitely need to consider my response.

Really good quality locally sourced ingredients. Feels like you are eating at a fine dining restaurant but paying half the price. The wine pairings recommended by in-house sommelier was excellent. Highly recommended for a special occasion or fancy date.

Beautiful food and beautiful service. We tried a bit of everything across the menu and couldn't fault it. The service was impeccable. It is at the ground level of a hotel which we did not realise until we arrived there, however you soon forget this when you sit down. Highly recommend

My husband and I dined at this restaurant a few weeks ago and it was an amazing experience. We stumbled upon this place when we were walking around the Southbank area where it is conveniently located, only a 5 minute walk from Crown Casino and the Melbourne Convention Centre. My husband and I had a lovely conversation with the bar man from the northern territory who had an extensive knowledge of his alcohol. We forgot his name although he made us a very lovely unique cocktail which is unforgettable as we've never had something like it before. The dinner was also very unique. We had the duck cassoulet and the porterhouse steak and I must say, it doesn't dissappoint. We finished up with the bite sized sweet e-clares for dessert. Next time the husband and I come back to melbourne we're definitely gonna come back to this restaurant, hopefully stay with the hotel as well.

Brilliant! Great spot to sample some local wines. Oh and the espresso Martinis aren't bad either.

Stopped in during happy hour to avoid the weather and really enjoyed a quick break here. The happy hour options are delicious and it was so great to see such a Victorian focused food and drink menu. Also really appreciated the menu highlighting the awesome females out there in the business.

Staff were really friendly, free popcorn was a fun little bonus. The bar itself is beautifully done.

Would love to see a few more by-the-glass options, am hoping that will open up as business picks up since this place has been pretty new.
