We’ve had the most hospitable staff in town taking care of us for our meal all way through. And here she is

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

- chicken wings is tasteless, cucumber on the dishes is better then the wings.

- an angus burger is tasteless then a mcdonald burger.
(why should i pay more to have burger here?)

-8$ for only 2pieces of bread
(unbelievable)

-blue eye cod is too dry and hard, what a waste of food.
(different looks on every comment)

IF THE STEAKS IS NOT INCLUDE ON OFFER PLEASE PUT ON THE WEBSITE.place is clean and tidy

The only things we enjoy is only drinks.without good sign, hard to find the restaurant

With the The Fork program, it gave us the opportunity (at a discounted price) to come try the food ah this place.

Service & Ambience [4]. We like the service and the lady was very polite and accommodating. After the starter and mains, our plates and cutlery were replaced timely. The restaurant, is not cosy as other reviewers have described and the toilets aren't the most obvious location so best to ask.

Food [4]. From the oysters to the main, the cocktails were good. Regarding the burger, the bun is very ordinary and angus beef so so. One would wonder why it cost that much. The lemonade and ginger beer were blend so recommend to skip. We ended with the cheesecake which we like.

This wine bar is incredibly cozy, and even if you're not a wine drinker, the food is just as delicious.

The service is attentive and friendly. The wait times between meals might be slightly longer than average, but the food we ordered was really good. It's wonderful that the staff was aware of the time we spent waiting for our food, and they handled it gracefully by offering us a complimentary wine

From the fresh oysters for the entree to the surprisingly amazing salami, and the delightful truffle salsa on a potato base, everything tasted great.

The highlight of the night was the mouthwatering ravioli with a soft texture and a delectable pumpkin filling complemented by burnt butter. We were tempted to order a second serving!

The chicken dish with chimichurri dressing was also delicious and juicy, and the duck Ragu pasta was nice too.

Fun fact: they source their ingredients within Victoria, which is really cool.

We booked this within TheFork program, and scored a 50% discount on the food, which made the experience even better!

Really enjoyed this bar. The bartender, Louisa, was great. I shared a recipe for one of my favorite drinks from the US, Bee’s Knees, with her and she made it for me.

Its a very quiet restaurant. There were only 3 other tables on the Sunday evening in which we visited. Nothing we had (oysters, burrata with roasted capsicum, stuffed zucchini flowers, barramundi wings, kingfish carpaccio, barramundi main dish and fries) was particularly outstanding. It was ok, not great and not bad. I enjoyed the stuffed zucchini flowers and burrata dish the most. The fries were over- fried and had an 'old oil' taste. The barramundi main course dish was dry and I didn't attempt to finish it. Staff was friendly.

@edwinwinebar is a chic restaurant/bar tucked under Shadow Play by Peppers. The restaurant is spacious, modern and classy, and the staff are lovely.

The meal started with complimentary toast and tomato butter. The butter was subtle but delish, and we made sure to butter it on both sides of the bread to make the most of it. The oysters were very fresh! I'd recommend loading up on them! All of the other starters were also pretty nice.

For mains, we loved the steak! It was cooked perfectly and came with a scoop of 12-month-aged maffra cheddar. The gnocchi however, was a little chewy and dense for my liking. We finished the night with their poached pear dessert.

Featured dishes:

? - Oyster w/ compressed apple, kelp oil [$6ea]
- Beignet w/ Meredith dairy goat curd, salmon roe [$8ea]
? - Jamon Croquetas [$9ea]
- Lakes Entrance Sardine on brioche w/ pebre [$14ea]

- Housemade potato gnocchi w/ butternut pumpkin, gorgonzola [$28]
? - Victorian grass-fed beef, burnt leek, 12m aged Maffra cheddar [$54]
- Thick-cut chips [$12]
? - Seasonal leaves w/ pear, walnut [$16]

- Poached pear [$15]

- Easy Peasy - Junmai sake, yuzu, elderflower, rose [$20]
- Margarita De Verano [$20]

We thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Highlight of the night were the oysters and prosciutto we had for entree. Barramundi was lovely for main, as were the sides. Steak was slightly on the tougher side, however was still very enjoyable. Staff were exceptional. Professional and were an absolute pleasure. Ambience was nice too. Will definitely be coming back. Sorry, no food pics as the food was so delicious we devoured it before I could reach for my phone.

Went with a friend using THE FORK 50% deal, which made it definitely worth trying out. Great selection of wines, the steak and sides were done to perfection. I loved being able to order a single perfiterole for dessert as it’s nice to have something sweet but not huge after the mains. Staff were relaxed and friendly, would definitely visit again. Parking tip: park further up in south Melbourne for free parking - just a 5 min walk:)

Beautiful food, drinks and wonderful service. Dessert was a bit average. However, we would go back again.

A stylish restaurant in Southbank with nice tasting food and good staff. I’ve dined here a few times and not have a bad experience. 4 stars because the price point, I don’t believe matches the food served. Otherwise it’s good.

As per most of the reviews for Edwin's, we could not fault the food we tried nor the service or ambience of this establishment. Connected to the Accor owned Shadow Play by Peppers makes the use of Accor Plus/Advantage dining benefits an absolutely bonus and an incredibly reasonably priced meal for the excellent standard of food they present. As a bonus we were treated to a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to celebrate our wedding anniversary which made the night even more special. We found it an excellent dining experience. Well worth a try.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service at Edwin. Although the kitchen can be slow at times. The food and drinks were delicious. I really enjoyed the easy peasy cocktail.

Starters/Entrees:
Starting off with the ciabatta which was really soft and nicely charred. It was a good portion.

I also got an oyster but it had bits of shell from the shucking which was a bit disappointing. It was also pretty small.

The grilled octopus was very soft and not chewy. It was cooked and seasoned very well.

Mains:
The chicken was cooked to perfection with a light cream sauce.

But the steak was a bit tough and overcooked. The potoato mash and accompanying sauce was delicious.

It was very affordable by using the fork 50% discount.

We had a 50% of food discount for booking through The Fork and the bill was still twice what I would've expected to pay. The staff were friendly but not knowledgable about the meals or wine list. Food was well presented and venue was clean and neat

Food was quite average. You can definitely find better high-end food for the same price point elsewhere in Melbourne. Kitchen was a bit slow, but service was good.

Unexpectedly delicious! We decided to check out Edwin Wine Bar as there was an offer on The Fork. The location is slightly hidden away on the corner from the main bustling street. The service we had was attentive and professional the whole time. The food was delicious and flavourful. We loved all the dishes that we tried especially the gnocchi, portobello dish and jamon croquetas.

Edwin Wine bar is one of my fave bars to go and relax, you can sit with your mates by the bar and enjoy a nice glass or bottle of red. Liza and her team is amazing! Very friendly and warm welcoming. Thank so much looking after me guys! Highly recommend!

Beautiful space, great for a date night. The food was good and the wine selection was nice. The price is steep. However, it was worth trying as we went here during a promo from The Fork and got all the entrees, as well as the osso bucco and portobello. The sardines and the oysters were great! The portobello could’ve been better, however.

Atrocious. Waited an hour for meals. Cold toast. Massively overcooked eggs. Coffee delivered in a takeaway cup because they "ran out of teapots". Easily top 10 worst places I've ever been.
