East Coast Car Rentals - Melbourne Airport

Quick and efficient service, with a very clean, almost new car at a very competitive price. East Coast dealt well with a couple of changes I made to my booking. The reason for only 4 stars is that I was mis-sold insurance when I picked up the car.only realising this when I returned it. I was very unhappy at this point as the branch was unable to rectify the problem, but on phoning customer services I was quickly put through to Josh, who immediately understood the problem and promptly refunded the money I had been charged (reimbursed within 24hrs to a non-Australian credit card). Exceptional customer service from a (normally) very good company. I highly recommend them if you are looking to hire a car in Australia.

I phoned to check my booking and the lady that helped was very professional and helpful. At the airport I phoned for the shuttle pickup and this person was also helpful in directing me to the pickup point. The bus driver Terry I ended up having both trips. He was chatty and informative each time. Thank you. The car was relatively new and easy to drive. No issues. Would use again.

Great service, vehicle selection (mid size SUV - chose Mitsubishi Outlander - received Hyundai Tuscon:) ), and competitive prices. The pick-up shuttle bus from airport to rental depot, was excellent. Will be checking East Coast Car Rentals for my next rental

Easy pick up from the airport and short shuttle journey to the branch. Our driver was helpful and friendly. Great customer service from Wafaa at the rental counter and I like the way they photograph any damage to the car prior to you leaving the depot and send it to you via email. We rented a Camry, which was quite new and had low mileage. The rental price was great value compared to the onsite airport rental options. Didn't have to worry about toll charges as they were charged to our credit card at cost + a small & fair admin fee. Returning the car was also easy and again, the customer service was top notch. First time renting with East Coast and would definitely use them again.

Really great service. Everyone was really professional and kind. They were easy to use with comparable pricing. We got picked up at the airport and driven straight to the centre. Really easy to pick up our car, it was in good condition and they take the photos for you and send you the info about any pre-damages for comparison for the end of your rental. I did get the insurance so I didn't have to worry about anything. Dropping off the car was also easy and took no time. You can get dropped off back at the airport if you need. Would recommend for anyone.

Had a wonderful experience with East coast after a bad start to the trip over at Melbourne. If I remember her name Ms. Waffa was super amazing and accommodating. Made the process of checking as seamless and quick as possible. Would Definitely recommend them. The prices are good as well as compared to lot of other Rentals agencies.

East Coast were incredibly helpful, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received.
Arrived in Melb to discover that our original care hire (with another company) was no longer available, rang East coast and they immediately sent the shuttle to pick us up and had us on the road within 90 minutes. Will always use East coast in the future

Good experience, only problem was I took car back a day early and was given a credit to use in 12 months I asked if monies could be refunded on my credit card but they said no. Bit disappointed as I will not use credit voucher.

Dodgey Hire Company. Avoid! They may have one of the cheapest rates however, they try to squeeze every penny out of you after you arrive to pick up. They will hold $1000 of your money or you have to pay extra to waive this and an excess of over $4000 for any accident at fault or not. They also tried to upgrade my car at extra cost. Random money has been taken from my account weeks after using this service. I DO NOT RECOMMENDED.

Good services, Fast checking in & out. But difficult to contact with the shuttle bus. Should be update the contact method to Whatsapp or WeChat.

Price was quite a bit more than advertised when booked but was still easy, priced ok, and convenient with airport shuttle

I waited 30 minutes for a shuttle from Melbourne airport. I have now been in line for 45 minutes and still have not been served. I hope it improves from here!

When I picked up the car, the guy that served me tried to force me to buy the insurance, while I explained him that I have had my own insurance. He seemed to try to scare me by mentioning that even a pimple on the car will be considered as damage. I don't like the way he did that, because for me it should be considered as "usage", not "damage". Who can avoid any road work if a gravel flying toward our car in the freeway even if we drive very carefully and slowly?
The car itself was good, clean and recent year. I did not have any problem when using the car (suzuki baleno).
When returning the car, it was another guy who checked the car condition. He did not say much and said it was okay.
