D'Penyetz & D'Cendol Clayton reviews
45 Had satay with lontong (compressed rice). Satay sauce was spicy & authentic but chicken was not. Cendol was great on the hot day it was 3 weeks ago. Nice decor.
Not crowded for late lunch past 1 pm on Fhurs.
Me and my girlfriend went out for dinner at this place for the first time. As we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly staff member. We asked for their menu recommendation, and they suggested several recommendation from their menu. We ended up ordering several items from the menu; ayam penyet (fried chicken) with sambal, fried rice, grill fish with sambal. The chicken dish was the best that I ever had. Forget about those fast food fried chicken joints, this chicken, let me tell you people, is just absolutely the best. The portion of the food was spot on for the value. I strongly highly recommend this restaurant for their authentic Indonesian food & taste. I have been back several times since my 1st visit.
Return visit to this indo restaurant. Enjoy these authentic dishes of indonesia, especially dish from java and sumatran (i think). We did dine in the scrambled tofu and egg with peanut sauce, fried chicken and sweet potato chip. Also took away smashed meat and mi goreng as well as 5 bags of cracker. Lol.
Seems like i m having paternal craving.lol.
The flavour and taste were ok, the ambience of restaurant was great, the service was excellent.
Absolutely recommended for those whom want some relieve from home sick.
We came here as a group of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Firstly, we'd like to highlight how delicious the chicken was. The only let down for us was that the chicken you see is about $10 a piece and did not come with rice. The chicken was definitely on the smaller side and we don't think it was worth $10. $6-$7 at best.
The fish was too smoky for my liking, but my friends really enjoyed it.
I didn't have the tofu egg or eggplants, so I can't comment on them. But my friends also enjoyed it.
I would definitely come here for a casual lunch or dinner.
Because I like Indonesian food, I had been to this particular branch 5 times, and also did takeaway several times. One theme emerges. The food quality, taste and presentation, was inconsistent. A big no no for a franchised resto. I guess it depends on who was working in the kitchen at
that time. If you are lucky, you will get great food, some other times just so so.
Other thing to improve is the staffs were so lifeless. They were not rude, but so unenthusiastic.
On positive side, the restaurant is clean and has nice interior.
