Dosa Hut - Indian Multi Cuisine Restaurant Craigieburn

Good food and reasonably priced. We had ordered for a family gathering. Gobi Manchurian biryani was very delicious and more then enough for all guest. Good was prepared timely, Abi was great to deal with. Must try place.

My kids was excited to go and eat dosa here, i have specifically requested no chilli, just cheesa dossa for my kids and after bringing the food at home, as they are not offering dine in.

They put green chilli, very spicy, my kids couldn't eat, and we have to order McDonald for them.just distorted kids excitement,

We are regular customer here but they never look after their customers well. We ordered Papri chaat which was totally rubbish. When I went to return it back they said we dnt have anymore as the Papri’s are spoilt and they served us the same one. The staff member Gurpinder is very rude and unfriendly. This is my third complaint against her and still she behaves the same way. I don’t know why Restaurant has hired her if she can’t treat the customers well.

We ordered a family pack chicken 65 biryani, 1 veg biryani, some butter n garlic naans, a paneer curry to go with it

One star for the portions as they are generous n that's the only positive thing about the order.

Naans were so chewy to eat! 4 of us couldn't complete 3 naans.
Biryani, both veg and non vegetarian is so blah, again most of it is wasted.
Paneer in panner curry is hard and chewy.

But none of that prompted me to post a review.
We have ordered paneer curry to cater for the vegetarian in group and she found a chicken piece in the curry.

It's one thing that food tastes awful because taste can be argued as subjective!
It takes whole new level of irresponsibility to mix chicken pieces into vegetarian curries!

Such a disgusting staff, they don’t know how to serve customers. Instead of giving reason for delay in order, you teach customers about manners, have you ever watched yourself, Such a cheap staff

Ordered noodles, veg Manchuria and chicken 65. Paid around $57 but was quantity was worth half the amount. Noodles were tasteless. Manchurian was fine and chicken was fine too. Not worth the price I paid and have had better indochinese at local Indian places for lesser price. Giving it two stars.

Pathetic experience, Today I have called store 5 times to order my lunch, no one answered mine and tried to make order online but system was not accepting. This is not at all professional.

I ordered Lamb Rogan Josh it was absolutely disgusting very very oily couldn't eat it, will never get takeawayfrom you guys again, you guy should look how Craigieburn Indian Restaurant makes Lamb Rogan Josh, its absolutely delicious

I was disappointed by the quality and the freshness of the biryani that we picked up. We felt like it was a day old one.

I was really keen on getting this, having tried the vindaloo here at a friends place i wanted to get one if my own, went there ordered my food i waited over an hour to receive it, it was take away, the lady said 25 mins orignally, then after that she said 5 minutes it will be ready that 5 turned into 25 then she said wait 2 minutes that 2 minutes turned into 20 minutes, apalling service no communication what so ever, went up to the counter a few times they didnt even communicate what was going on back there, when i finally got my order the food was pretty good, but after all that i think ill stick with ambarsari.

I ordered samosa and it gave very foul taste. Staff was not ready to accept that food is not fresh and gave an excuse that It was prepared in the morning. Well I have ordered so many times and they always do these kind of things.

Most stupid staff members, zero customer service and on Friday and Saturday night, they don’t even answer their restaurant phone. So when I physically come to the restaurant to order, I asked “you guys not answering the restaurant phone”, the girl on reception rudely told me that we don’t have time for phone orders, he have enough Uber eats order. Nah not taking and orders. Zero to customer service.

Ordered Noodles for pickup and waited 55mins in restaurant to go home and find that the noodles were tasteless and still uncooked. It was like team was under pressure so they tossed boiled noodles in pan for 1min and sent it out.
Cherry on top was that when owners were told about this, I was asked to keep the food for next day and bring it in only on the next day if I wanted a replacement. If I would go any other day then I can’t get my replacement.
I ended up throwing this one in bin and not getting replacement. Would not recommend this restaurant to any one.
Worst ever customer service. (Whereas owners think they are doing great customer service.)
Definitely taking my business elsewhere and would recommend people to do the same.

Good things
• Owner is nice, polite and hardworking.
• Food is tasty
• Price is reasonable for the quantity being offered

Bad things

Staff:
• Customer service at this restaurant is VERY BAD
• Most of the Punjabi waitresses who work here lack basic manners
• Make the customers feel Unwelcome when they enter the restaurant, do not smile
• After delivering the food to the table, they do not pay any attention to the customer
• They do not provide cutlery until customer asks
• They stand at the counter having private conversations amongst themselves ignoring the customers

Safety & Hygiene
• Hair being found in the food is a frequent occurrence
• Noticed staff not wearing masks in these Covid times

Food
• Menu lacks variety same things offered in list, no new additions to the menu list. Please check the menu of other Indian restaurants and find how many new variety of things they offer.
• Pesarattu Upma is most common south Indian recipe, instead I see Kalipattu (which is Dosa stuffed with upma – never seen this combination)

Music: Play only Punjabi music. You can try other varieties of music as well

Good food reasonable price, but stupid you have to order food from app but waitress brings you water and food to table how's it contactless

Been to Dosa hut Craigieburn many times. We loved the food but poor customer service with bad attitude.

No customer service at all. Food did not meet expectations with the price it was tagged. Very disappointed

One of the few restaurants I have tried in Melbourne that have proper "Indian" taste, not diluted down taste. No it's is not extra spicy or extra hot, taste is just right for the food item you ordered. And unlike some other Indian Restaurants where you pay too much for little quantity, the serving size and price is very acceptable.
