Don Don reviews
70Go to place to grab something quick on the go. Well priced and quick service. Always a massive queue there!
If you like Japanese food, this place will tickle your taste buds. Great food, great selection of drinks in a truly central location.
Dirty with messy tables with no staff around to clean up. Next time I'll pay $2 more for the same food somewhere cleaner.
Cheaper and better Japanese eatery with $5 beer all day, you heard me right, not happy hour. Limited menu, but they are all good! Love the sashi don and pork katsu curry. Big portion and fresh. Quick service and friendly staffs. I personally prefer this outlet than the others.
The front place where you order your food will fool you into thinking that it's small that you wouldn't have anywhere to sit down and eat. But once you've received your food and go down a short narrow hallway it opens up to a dining place with several tables that groups of friends or the solitary diner (if they don't mind sharing the table) can enjoy their meal.
The food is very good and for the price your paying extremely good value for your meal. The service is very quick and the ladies serving you very polite and nice.
The menu selection is not a lot but what they do serve you if very good. They have two menu boards. The main one just as you come into the door and the other prop on the sideboard (?) where you can get your cutleries as you go up the stairs.
Don Don has the cheapest meal prices I've ever seen in the Melbourne CBD for the quality of the food you get.
You will always see a line outside of Don Don during peak lunch time and sometimes even outside of peak lunch time.
If you like a good Japanese meal and value for your money I highly recommend giving Don Don a try.
Easy, cheap, no frills, nothing too fancy - just very good value! The restaurant venues have very minimal decor.
Food comes out fast, food goes down like a treat! Don't be deterred if you see the line out the door! It's out the door for a great reason. Good prices $
The price and food is amazing. The place doesn’t look that nice but is cosy and perfect for a cheap and delicious lunch.
Don don is a Japanese cuisine restaurant with a few branches in the CBD. I love the fact that all their rights are prices less than 10$ and are more than rolling for a single person. If you like a sumptuous meal for two you can try the Bentou box but my personal recommendation is the Chicken Curry Don because it reminds me of Maggi masala noodles flavour. See picture attached. Also don't hesitate to try their seasoning. The one on Francis/king Street is a bit hidden due to construction works but there is a small sign among the scaffolding to show their location.
Real Japanese food with reasonable price.
Sukiyaki don is exactly the one I ate in Japan as a Gyu don.
