Don Don

Absolutely amazing food. And much less crowded than the one near Melbourne Central. And ofcourse minimal decor.

Love Don Don. Not as consistent as the city ones. Sometimes a little more salty and the chicken can be a bit dry.

Delicious and large portions describe this Japanese donburi (rice dishes) restaurant. There's frequently a queue here so best to go early

Don't go expecting a great dining experience.
It's good food, bloody cheap, and served very quickly.

Good food - I recommend Sashi Don (salmon) and tuna salad if available. Very cheap bottled beer and wine by glass.

It's ok. Get what you pay for. Good: friendly service and big serves. The chicken teriyaki is good standard. Bad: beef was of low quality and flavour and the chairs and tables dirty. Defo a take away sitch.

Good food, fantastic price. I got a bento (chicken & beef) and a beer (Asahi) for $13.60. The staff were polite & friendly, and meals came out quickly. I left extremely satisfied.

Not exactly the destination of champions, but great if you're a broke af student. Cheap beers & tasty chicken for how the other half live.

Oh. They also play the most awful music here, which you can escape if you sit outside. This is the place that introduced me to Bruno Mars, who, frankly, should be catapulted in a space capsule aimed at Mars with a very, very limited air supply. His 'music' is so inane, it makes me want to self-harm.

The third Don Don I've checked out because the other two were great. This one has the same speedy service, fresh and tasty food, excellent value for money choices as the others.

It's cash only, so come prepared. When you want a quick bite and something wholesome, this and the other Don Dons are great choices. This South Melbourne store is a bit tucked away from the main shopping strips. Lucky for the locals!
