Domaine Chandon

My boyfriend and I visited Domaine Chandon last Saturday and we will most definitely be back and will recommend the entire experience to everyone. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful and the drinks and food are delicious but what made our visit particularly memorable was a staff member named Paul. He made us feel extra welcomed and we hope to meet him again on our next visit!

We went there to celebrate with friends. Ambience was good great place to visit.food was worst if u want to waste ur money go there. Arrogant manager with disgusting attitude they took 4 hrs to serve 3 course meal.i wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat there but location and view was good.

Very pleasant place, staff, wine, food and clean facilities. That was March 2022.

Went to Chandon again in May 2022. The consistency of service, friendly attitude and terrific food is remarkable. The Autumn colours of the vines bring a somewhat Chery atmosphere to the scenery on a rather dull but mild day. Peps you up really as do the Autumn leaves on the trees. Had some Oysters this time before a generous Charcuterie board. You don't have to go to the Peninsula to get fresh Oysters, they were as fresh as can be. Ah, Chandon tasting board, Oysters, Chandon wines, serene outlook.
Wonderful.

Took guests, including some from Paris, to lunch on Monday 2nd May 2022. The food was up to their usual high standard.
However, they were out of stock of their sparkling pint noir shiraz. They also didn't have any still red or white wines which was quite shock and disappointing for our guests who preferred a still wine with their meal.

We have had an amazing experience at Domaine Chandon, friendly staff, nice service and breathtaking view.

If you like bubbles, you will love this place.

Ok but nothing to rave about.

Wouldn’t rush back.

Far better venues and smaller wineries in the area to visit.

So disappointed with the service we received on Saturday, they said they were fully booked but there were some empty seats, we said we can stand just grab a sip of wine, it is ok to have no seat, they said No. So a shame, at least shows some flexibility. Then we went to La Ventine nearby, very good customer service.

This's one of the beautiful winery that can spend times with friends and family. Good service, nice people and nice wine. We have an enjoyable day there.

Great place to relax and enjoy the serenity just a stones throw from Melbourne.

Took some interstate visitors for lunch at the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and the food and service were fabulous. The views are gorgeous, highly recommend this place to show off the beautiful Yarra Valley

Domaine Chandon has a great venue, and very courteous & diligent staff. However, can I encourage something be done to manage the European Wasps that can ruin a dining experience.

Great location and beautiful tasting menu! Really enjoyed the booth we booked. Lovely day out for sure and will certainly return.

One of the best, and probably the busiest vineyards in the area. Stunning grounds and a very prestige vineyard and venue. Wine tasting is great and the staff are generally pretty helpful, albeit its typically very busy. Food is pretty decent too and there's plenty of opportunities for photos which is great.

We sat outside and enjoyed the brisk air and drank in the Spectacular views. The wine tasting boards and cheese platter were perfect for our afternoon. Staff were great

A gorgeous, relaxed setting with a demure atmosphere. We dinned experiencing the gathering menu which was delicious and very tasty. We had a glass of different sparkling with every dish. The service was calm and lovely, however at times I was waiting a little longer that expected to order my next glass. Overall I would definitely book again. Thank you

I wouldn't recommend Domaine Chandon. I am sorry for saying this, but the service at the start was terrible, no one to serve us, people walked in after us and they were served first.
I think that because i was a person of colour, I didn't get the same treatment that the rest of the room was having.
It's unfortunate because it's such a nice place.

It is such a pretty vineyard and they dish out tasty plates of oysters, fried chicken wings, etc. You need to sip their delicious Winemaker's Sélection Rosé 2013!

The bad.
The staff at reception was insisting we go to the Cafe instead of the restaurant dont know why. We were dressed appropriately nor did we look like tourists.in the end he did not have a choice! (it's my wife's birthday) that's what's disappointing. Customers shouldn't be judged. I felt bad like getting to justify why we wanted to go to the restaurant. HE PROBABLY thought we couldn't afford it or some other personal reason.

The good part.
Staff in the restaurant was excellent very knowledgeable and courteous
Food was very tasty and flavours were amazing although other people may not like it we did.
In the end we spent $300.

Unfortunately the rain interfered with our picnic lunch so the picnic was brought indoors. We were given a table with a beautiful view. It was a nice comprehensive spread. Plenty of food and a lovely cocktail which was included in the package. The two salads were nice however the chicken coleslaw salad had no dressing so it was very dry. We were not given any serving cutlery so it was difficult serving salads onto our plates and picking up cheese, cold meat and pickled vegetables. I also think a tablecloth would have been a nice touch to add to the picnic experience (whether it be indoors or outdoors). A larger plate to serve the food on would have been handy as the pretty picnic box the food came in was deep and you had to stand to see in it and reach for the food. If we were outside we would have been on an outdoor table so the situation would have been same. The boxes are good if you're seated on the grass but on a table, serving cutlery and a large serving plate would have made it all the more comfortable. Little things but I think important.
