Quite a chill atmosphere with wonderful food and interesting artsy videos being showed via projector on the walls.

Videos are very fun - quite artistic and slightly unnerving but nothing too much to make you uncomfortable.

Should have a fancy vibe given the quality of food but it wasn’t - very welcoming and chilled despite top tier service and food.

Very reasonably priced meals as is the wine, do go if you’re in Melbourne.

The entrees were great, but I'm not sure what happened after that. The pasta and risotto were barely edible. It was overpowering and too much salt. The deserts were not great either. For the price you pay there is much better.

Caffe Di Stasio is an institution in Melbourne. Their Citta offering also never disappoints. With its minimalist architecture and highly attentive wait staff, be prepared for a wonderful dining experience in this Italian gem.

What a disappointing experience. The entree (gnudi) was admittedly delicious. The lamb shoulder was fine, but boring. The vanilla torta was quite nice.
The service, particularly the impossibility of getting advice about which champagne to choose, was a serious disappointment. Don’t bother having more than one champagne on your wine list if NO ONE there can provide advice about the wines and matching food to them. And most certainly DO NOT suggest a Barolo instead, nor say “suit yourself” and turn and walk away when the customer says she doesn’t want Barolo instead.
To top it off, some other guests allowed their bratty kids to run in and out of the restaurant all night, shooting cold air on to me each time. No member of staff did anything about it until I eventually had had enough and got up to move.
There are so many good restaurants in Melbourne. Don’t bother with this one.

Some really good food. The best eye fillet I have ever had. The customer service was a let down as the waitress would constantly hassle to “are you finally ready? ” The basic etiquette at a fine dining is to only approach if the menu has been read and folded up indicating that we are ready to order. Felt rushed.

On top of this, I found hair in my food but the owner was very respectful to offer us replacement. Overall an average experience. The food was really great and if they can level up the customer service with non-uptight customer service reps, then this place is 11 out of 10.

We could have gone anywhere in Melbourne during a recent trip, but having previously enjoyed a meal at the St Kilda venue, we decided to try the Citta Cafe di Stasio. We were very disappointed with the whole experience. Our pasta was good, however the saltimbocca was covered in a strange sweet sauce which was not at all appealing. At these prices, everything should have been perfect. The videos on the walls were off putting - I had no choice video of a guys dirty foot and ears while eating, while trying to talk to my partner. Service was ordinary and unfriendly. Should have gone elsewhere.

Impeccable food and service! I had a three (four?) mushroom tagliatelle special which was just divine, and also loved the milk buns shared as an entree.

Also special thanks for being so accommodating with a pram and making us feel so comfortable bringing a little baby in for our lunch booking.

Food and vibe were nice worth 5 star but service received was terrible negative to 1 star only.
We booked this restaurant for our anniversary and so looked forward to try this 2 hat place. But when we asked the staff to take a photo for us, she said “I’m very busy I can’t take a picture for you’ then left. She did ask someone else to help but she didn’t mention it in her response only leaving us there shocking for 10’. When she came again asking if we need more wine we asked her if she has a minute to talk as we would like to politely provide our feedback, she said “No I’m very busy don’t have time to talk”.
Since she doesn’t want to listen at all I have to post my comment here. The way that staff treated us ruined our anniversary and our night, she has time saying Gong Xi Fa Cai and Xin Nian Kuai Le and Xie Xie showing off her Chinese and offering small new year gift to the table behind us but she doesn’t have a second to take a picture for us; the table next to us got their picture taken easily but we had to wait with shock rejection. I feel sorry for the staff sent to take picture for us because seems she thought other staff was not busy and she was the busiest one in the world. We’re unfairly treated for sure.
I don’t think this kind of service is what I expected for a 2 hat, long time established fine dining restaurant. If this is her personal behavior I feel sorry for those ones in the kitchen prepared nice dinner but customer got such unpleasant experience, she is more culturally fit in a none service restaurant instead of here as she only cares about ordering and selling more. If this is the company culture I won’t plan to visit any of other branches also not this place again. I don’t want to spend another $300 to receive such ignorance and treatment.

We were a party of four and were seated next to the window overlooking the gardens, very lovely. From the time we walked in we were greeted warmly and this attitude was demonstrated by staff the whole time we were there. Staff were able to advise well about the food and drink menu. The food was great; fresh and lots of flavour

Food is ok. Not more.
Fish and chips you can find much better in every street food for less than 10% the price they charging here.
The manager is very arrogant and ugly personality.
You can have much better Italian food in Melbourne for half the price (which is minimum 80 per person).

Can't love this place enough! A must try. We are most of the menu and everything was amazing.

Just beautiful. The $99 3 courses is for Primi, Secondi, and Dolce but not the pasta. I think. Other than that slight complexity absolutely stunning

The interior design and the vibe were perfect, except the loud music.
We had a $99 set menu but didn’t know that we ordered extra charging main dish. It would be great that someone explained to us.
The pasta was great while the scotch fillet was okay.

Great new addition to Di Stasio. Still love the original moody and sexy St Kilda dining room. Hard to beat the original, but this is a great experience, great food and service.

The main course pasta? Could have sprung for something homemade! Or better made.
I've bought cheap pasta from the supermarket just like this.
The entree was nice.
Service was impeccable and cannot fault it at all.
Atmosphere loses points for the animal "trophy" head on the wall.

Very very good. This kitchen knows how to cook. And the cocktails are also amazing. Will be back soon.

A lovely midweek dinner. Great service, but had to wait a little tooong for the 'secondi'. Beautifully presented and just the right amount of attention from the wait staff.

Went with a work group and had an absolutely fabulous night.
Staff went above and beyond, making sure everyone was happy and looked after - catering for each individual in a welcoming and subtle way.
The food was amazing - everyone really happy with their meals.
To have people from all over the country telling each other 'you have to try this, it's just amazing' tells a story in itself.

Pretentious and overpriced this restaurant locks you in to ordering 2 $79 courses or 3 $99. The prix fixe was $155! Really outrageous for the quality and quantity. A la carte is not an option and appetizers are extra. Milanese was dry, the scallops were buried under a mountain of breadcrumbs, the lamb shoulder and mash were OK, as was the filet and the fettuccine Capri. I couldn’t say anything we had here was really delicious or outstanding. The most delicious part was the bread! The service was attentive, just short of being fawned over. The continuous projected video on the wall was terrible! Some bearded, flabby hairy man eating McDonalds and running a race in slow motion, ugh. How about some beautiful scenes from Venice, Cinque Terra, Portofino, Etc? Which is why I gave it 1 stars. Would not recommend and would not go back.

Well there were six of us last night! I would have to say we were looking so much forward to experiencing what you call famous! But unfortunately we were not happy with the service.the pasta was very much under cooked, our table was not cleaned once after each course so unfortunately not coming back. “ Music way to loud “
