Some (not all) poor reception staff work here with a very speak-down-to-you manner. Totally not ok. Especially in this industry.

Want your human rights abused? Your privacy breached? Then this is the hospital for you. You will be forced to sign a contract which is illegal, when you are sick, you don't have the capacity to sign a contract, they are a smoking facility so they are engaging misleading and deceptive conduct, they profile you, and have very poor understanding of (mental health) report to the #royalcommission as a complete failure of their own charter. The Director of Nursing lies (recorded on film) patients including prominent members of the community are exposed to breaches of their human rights. #guilty #filmed #mentalhealth

One of the few who bulk bill if you meet criteria. Reception staff are incredibly abrupt and snippy though. Could use a refresher course in communication with neuro divergent clients/customers. Telling someone with chronic anxiety that they 'aren't trying hard enough' to remember the docs name and refusing to repeat appointment times so we can write it down is perilously close to abuse.

Dr. Steven Jones is the best psychiatrist I've ever seen and I've seen 4 in total, very caring and open minded. The nurses also when I was an inpatient were excellent, caring, kind & compassionate. Definite recommend.

Today I seen Dr Emmanuel, what a waste of time, asked me dozens of questions. In around 45 minutes he says you take too many meds, says you don't need to be on certain meds, reduce every two weeks, even saying I can reduce and stop within 7 days, then oh no I said reduce monthly, make up your mind, your the psychiatrist not me.
For a first visit very indecisive, professionals more qualified than him have put me on these meds for a good reason.
Then says because I'm only seeing him on one occasion that I can't have this billed through Tac and I'm going to be billed privately, rubbish, Tac approval was sought before I seen him. I brought my approval letter with me, he says let me see it, I had already given reception a copy. Very unprofessional, I made sure reception knew what he had tried to do so that I would be billed under Tac, I would never again go through such a bad experience, I will definetly tell my GP so other people do not have to go through such an unprofessional experience like I did.

All the patients I have talked to have said Delmont is the best place they’ve been. Food is great, nurses check in with you three times a day. If you’ve got good insurance, Delmont is the place to be.

I am not sure if I went to the same hospital as Lewi? I tend to get confused quiet a bit. I probably didn’t but if I did then he is probably best to consider cutting down on his medication or increasing it.

I wish my stay at Delmonte was as good as Lewi’s because it sounds great. Perhaps I should have had some of the medication he was taking.

They misdiagnosed my family/relatives for over 6 months. It only took a few hours with another practitioner in Clayton to zero in on correct diagnosis. On top of that Delmont charged excessive fees and when approached they asked us to contact the practitioner directly and claimed zero responsibility. My advice to anyone is not to seek treatment here.

Delmont Private has sadly gone from one of the best to the worst providers over the past decade. No more than a money grab these days. Will take you in for 28 days and then discharge you far too early and no where near recovered, placing patients at clinical risk all so as to meet the 28 day private health insurance criteria. That is, be paid at full cost and avoid the sliding scale of payments after the 28 day period is over. The fact that professionals will write up their assessments on this basis makes it a highly dubious unethical provider. For those with similar experiences you can lodge complaints through Health Services Complaints and the Mental Health Services Commissioner as our family have most unfortunately had to do. You can also contact your private health provider and ask that no payment be made upon your discharge due to your complaints and pending investigations. Depending on how poor your treatment from Delmont Private Hospital was, keep in mind the media are interested in hearing your stories. A hospital that is to be avoid at all costs.

So far, Meredith is the rudest and most uncaring receptionist I have come across.

There was an appointment that I had made with my psychiatrist that wasn’t showing up in the system.
Meredith didn’t believe that the appointment existed.
I didn’t imagine calling and making an appointment. It’s not my fault that it wasn’t added to the system.
Meredith said she’d talk to my psychiatrist.
She asked what room number his office is. When I said I didn’t know, and she rolled her eyes as she got up to go find out.

This happened in early September, and my complaint about Meredith was handed in half a week later.
I still haven’t heard anything regarding my complaint, except for a letter that got sent out saying that the matter was being looked into.
Not impressed with the complaints process.

Meredith has been the worst so far, but she isn’t the only rude and unfriendly receptionist I have met or spoken to over the phone.
All the admin team need to realise that this is a clinic that people with mental illnesses attend, and they should treat us with respect and understanding.

Doctor prescribed Mirtazapine. Same drug that killed Robin Williams. I nearly killed myself tonight. Don't trust Vinit Mathur.

I have been bitterly disappointed with Dr William (Bill) Atkins. The support person supposedly in charge of booking the appointment was curt to the point of being rude, and did not follow up after I left multiple messages (and yes. I had already sent the referral to them). I got the psychologist to ask for the appointment as well, but to no avail. The service was appalling, frustrating, and the follow-up non-existent. I am absolutely shocked and dismayed that I couldn’t manage to get an appointment for my son, after a concerted effort of trying, over a 2 week time span. They have NEVER returned my call, despite 6 messages of increasing urgency left on their answering machine. We’re told to seek ‘help’ but don’t expect ‘help’ if you go to Dr William Atkins. All you’ll get is silence.

Astute DON runs an efficient team-based inpatient service without peer in Melbourne. Delmont also runs a cutting edge Day Program for those transitioning back into the community and for people in the community who seek to deal with mental health issues.

Toxic place- poorly trained staff who don't care about patient welfare or complaints. If you're not cured instantly with mass amounts of drugs then they don't want anything to do with you. No point speaking to anyone in power either because they have the same attitude. All show & no substance.

My sister is at her most vulnerable and her counsellor is an abusive bully. The organisation seems to know about the bullying, but allows it. My sister is now suicidal. I will sue you bastards if anything happens to my sister in your care.

Was quite happy by far, the doctor gives me some confidence and staffs are generally nice. My symptoms are troublesome and I hope they understand when I change appointments it is not intentional but when my bad day comes, it's just unbearable and unpredictable, Thank you for their patience on me.
