My favourite restaurant in Melbourne, I discovered Dawson 2 years ago and I loved it so much that I visited more than 10 times. The mushroom arancini with Truffle aioli is by far the best arancini I have ever had and the truffle aioli goes so well with the arancini. Every time I visit I have to order the mushroom arancini. There wood fired pizzas are absolutely delicious. I recommend you try it if you visit Dawson. Sweet potato fries are a hit too crispy and yummy. They used to have really great desserts that were very pretty and tasty but recently they are only have a few desserts. The chocolate sphere was my favourite dessert. All staff there are amazing and do an awesome job.

The food was amazing. The dishes were very clean and overall the place was very hygienic. Tips to the chef and dishhand on Saturday nigjt between 5- 11 pm.

Their Monday night deal is amazing value! For $10 you can get authentic woodfired Margherita pizza and if you are feeling like a cocktail, it’s an additional $10 for Margarita. Cheap and comforting Monday feed! Highly recommend coming here - they are open for lunch and dinner seven days a week!

This is such a great cafe in the heart of Kew! Gets quite busy on the weekend, so make sure you book. Also loved the interior and how spacious the seating area is. The waiters are all incredibly friendly and helpful.

I ordered the eggs benedict which was served on homemade crumpets that were super fluffy. Accompanying the eggs were bacon and sliced apple which was a nice touch. My mum had the scrambled eggs with avocado which she found super tasty and filling.

Definitely keen to visit this cafe again to also check out their lunch and dinner menu!

I had my 60th birthday here and the staff were so lovely. Efficient and friendly. Food was great. Everyone had a great time.

The snack menu is great, try the mac and cheese balls! The thin crust pizzas are really nice.

Great variety on the menu, and the staff do what they can to be accommodating when you have weird requests.

You can trust that Dawson will always be open when other cafes in the area aren't. Their pizzas are great, they have awesome happy hour specials, and the staff are very friendly. Even when its buys it isn't too loud and the venue has a great vibe.

I and my friends had a very tasty breakfast on Saturday at Dawson. The food and the garnish was good. We will definitely back to this place to try the cocktail menu that sound really interesting.

Nice little cafe, staff very friendly. Wasn’t expecting the Grain bowl to be nice, but it was very good. Could just have it for a quick lunch and healthy too. The Mac and cheeses croquettes were very unique

The pizzas we had were so good, our toddler and 5yr old were fighting for the last slice - that never happens! The staff were so lovely and friendly! Definitely becoming our regular family go-to!

Prompt service and very friendly, attentive staff. Food came out relatively quickly once ordered, and was an enjoyable meal. Highlight was the brownie and hazelnut ice cream dessert! Would recommend for a nice casual dinner!

Good food, a bit different, and, I think, a little bit expensive, great service, and to my surprise, split bill.

Great experience and very nice setting for this restaurant. I had the big breakfast and it was absolute quality. Very tasty and big portion size. Friendly staff and great coffee.

The food off! What arrived, a meat dish, looked 'okay'. On the edges, it looked dry-ish, so I cut that part off. Told them I wasnt impressed. They took $5 off. As I continued to eat, I started feeling sick. She took $5 + the sparkling water off. I then vomited in the ladies. No charge! I won't be going there again. I was lucky I lived close by because I had to walk home! The staff were friendly, wanted to know if I wanted them to call anyone to come and get me? They ONLY do pizza. (And whatever I had, a meat dish) NO PASTA. I was, in the beginning looking for pasta but I had to go with what was on offer. Not impressed.

We had a group of 14. Food menu was extensive and presentation was first class. Friendly helpful staff. Very good coffee.

Coffee wasn't great, burger hit the spot! Went during a quiet period, staff wasn't as attentive as I'd like, but definitely would go again

Service and place was great but please check the bi when you leave. I didn't check and paid when we left and got back home I realised there were a couple of items that weren't ours on our bill. Disappointing.

Best chai I’ve ever had with generous usage of Prana chai. Staff are always friendly and most importantly they are consistent. We go here at least once a week and it’s always delicious food and the best drinks.

Not sure if this is new but can’t believe I’d been going past this place and hadn’t tried it. Dropped in on Mother’s Day, menu has lots of variety and they have their own spin on many dishes. We had Dawson Benedict and Avocado Smash, portion size was just right and food tasted great. Fitout is modern and everything seems very clean and efficient here. Price point is as expected given its location in Kew. Will definitely be coming back.

I love the menu variety at Dawson and the atmosphere. The coffee is always great and the chef is always trying something new! Plus the kids menu is fantastic and a decent size. Looking forward to going back.
